In the stands, John and James were watching the match. A bunch of spectators gave applause when the referee blew his whistle. At first, John thought that Bayern would continue to dominate in the second half, but he did not expect Southampton to make it 3-3. This match was filled with exciting moments.

"I didn't expect your hunch to be right, James," said John.

"My hunch is never wrong, Southampton does give us a surprise. Regardless of who wins later, this match is definitely one of the most exciting matches in this year's International Champions Cup. What's more, the number 9 player from Southampton managed to score a hat trick, with his ability, I expected that he would win the golden boot next year."

James spoke up his opinion. He had done several searches regarding Southampton and of course, James knew Kazuki was the most talented player at Southampton. Apart from that, there were numerous young Southampton players who performed well.

Moments later, the first half extra-time match between Southampton and Bayern Munich began. Both teams made substitutions. Southampton included three players, two central defenders, namely Hilton and Okhalo. In addition, George also included Kounde to replace Bennet. Ryan would replace Bennett's position.

Meanwhile, Bayern replaced Phillips Zico with Mandzukick, and then they also replaced Trippery with Axelsen. Finally, the Bayern Munich coach entered Tymoshschuk to replace Schweinsteiger.

With this change, both teams started the first half of extra time. Southampton started the kick-off. Kazuki passed the ball to Kounde. Then, Kounde returned the ball to Kazuki. Next, Kazuki gave Ryan a pass. The Southampton young player sent a long pass to Southampton center-back Okhalo.

Mandzukick stepped up and applied pressure. Okhalo then provided a pass to Benson. Southampton's left-back was immediately blocked by Ruben. Simone approached Benson as a pass option. Benson gave the ball to Simone. The Southampton defensive midfielder dribbled the ball at low speed, and then he gave Ryan a pass.

Ryan held the ball while Southampton made the transition from defense to attack. After that, he returned the ball to Wright-Phillips, Thomas Muller tried to get the ball from Wright-Phillips. Fortunately, he managed to give the ball to Freddy. Freddy stepped forward and overlapped. He was helping Southampton in the attack. Tymoshschuk came and blocked Freddy. The Southampton right-back tried to force himself past Tymoshschuk but the Bayern Munich midfielder cut the ball off Freddy's leg and sent it off the pitch.

In the following minutes, Bayern continued to try to get the ball out of Southampton's feet, but Southampton's players played it safe by returning the ball when Bayern applied pressure. The Bayern players kept trying until their efforts paid off in the 94th minute.

Wright-Phillips, who was lack of care, make Muller easily steal the ball from his feet. Muller's action became a sign for other Bayern players to immediately launch the counterattack. Muller provided a through ball to the left. Axelsen and Freddy were fighting for the ball. They pushed each other's bodies. However, Axelsen, who had just entered, clearly had more energy than Freddy, who had been playing since the beginning.

Axel passed Freddy and kicked the ball slowly into the penalty box. After that, he immediately sent a flat pass into the middle of the penalty box. Mandzukick was running. He ran fast and grabbed the ball. He immediately sent a strong shot to the right of the goalpost. Southampton goalkeeper failed to save the net in time.

Bayern scored the fourth goal in this match. Mandzukick immediately ran to the sidelines. He high-fived Axelsen then hugged the rest of the Bayern players. Goals in extra time always made the mentality of the other team drop. It's very difficult to equalize because the players were already tired.

This match was only a pre-season game, there was no need to fight it out. Several such thoughts appeared in the minds of the Southampton players. Even George himself would not be angry if Southampton failed to win. Moreover, their opponent was Bayern Munich, clearly failure was something that could be tolerated.

However, Kazuki didn't want to give up. Likewise with other young players. Wright-Phillips immediately took the ball from the net and ran into the middle of the penalty box. His action signaled to start kick-off as soon as possible. There was still time for Southampton to score and equalize. Although it is difficult but as long as it is not impossible then they should not give up.

The game resumed and Southampton had the ball. They were not in a hurry to attack Bayern. Southampton slowed the tempo and tried to build on the attack from the bottom. Slowly they advanced and raised the defensive line. Southampton's short passes had pretty good accuracy.

In the 103rd minute, Kazuki, Ryan, and Kounde made a triangular pass. Kounde managed to break through into the Bayern penalty box. After that, Kounde immediately sent a pass to the right before the Bayern players closed the space for him. From the right, Rustan broke through and grabbed the ball. He unhesitatingly dribbled the ball forward and then kicked the ball firmly.

Neuer caught the ball easily. Rustan was holding his head, disappointed. Despite having conceded three goals, it must be admitted that Neuer performed quite well. The goals Southampton scored would probably have been more than 3 goals if not because of Neuer's brilliant action. The German goalkeeper threw the ball forward.

The attack became Southampton's last attack in the first half of extra time. Until the first half ended, the score was still 4-3 for Bayern Munich's advantage. The match will continue into the second half of extra time after a short break.

It wasn't long before the second half officially began. Bayern started the kick-off of the second half. They controlled the ball quietly. Southampton didn't have the energy to press high, so they let Bayern play with the ball.

In the 109th minute, Muller found space between the left-back and the center back. Tymoshschuk immediately provided a through ball to Muller. The player penetrated the penalty box quickly. Okhalo tried to intercept Muller, but Muller stopped his pace suddenly, so Okhalo passed Muller due to repulsion. Then Muller sent a kick. The ball spins and went to the top right corner of the goalpost. But the ball hit the post and went off the field.

In the 115th minute, Southampton made an attack. Wright-Phillips managed to escape the siege of Bayern's defensive midfielder. Southampton's players immediately moved. Kazuki and Kounde suddenly switched positions, this made the Bayern players who marked the two people confused. Wright-Phillips took advantage of this to provide a through ball for Kounde.

Kounde relies on his speed to break through the penalty box. Jerome Boateng used his body to push Kounde into a tight corner. Kounde pulled the ball back and then turned 180°. Kounde then gave a flat pass into the middle. Ryan came and met the pass with a first-time kick. This time Neuer failed to catch the ball because the corner chosen by Ryan was very difficult to achieve.. Southampton managed to equalize for the second time.
