There was always something off about me. The words people used to describe me were usually freak, weirdo, outcast, etc. I won’t deny that they were probably right. All of my life I had been the odd one out. I never really had anyone that I would call a friend. All of my “friends” existed as characters inside of video games. The reality of the world had never captured my womanly heart like the moving figures behind a monitor. Even in gaming, I was a solo player. The outcast.
The MMO that I had sunk countless hours in didn’t lead me to befriending other players, but it did lead me on a 2D adventure. I was always up late at night playing the same game. “Dreams Portrayed”, so the game was called. The Ad campaign of the game pushed it as a game where dreams came true. I couldn’t help, but agree with Ad. The game offered way too many options in its customization, and the paths one could take were near limitless. Even with my solo playing I had built myself a grand following of 2D waifus. That’s another thing about me. I am a lesbian, and nothing could stop me from claiming all of the NPC girls I could find.
I looked at my player character from behind the screen. Like any self respecting gamer, I had spent far too long creating her. On the top of her head were white and fluffy pointed ears. She had lengthy white hair, and her eyes were a deep blue. She was of a shorter height, and a fluffy white tail poked out from behind her. Indeed, she was a snow foxkin. I had named her Misa, and she was currently adorned with revealing purple robes that I had spent hours grinding for. All of my NPC companions surrounded her.
“Oh, how I wish that was me. To be surrounded by such beautiful girls.” I opened my mouth and started to drool at the prospect. “Keep it together, me. Focus! Yes, what should I do today?”
Suddenly the screen flickered and at the corner a small purple window appeared. It was curious, so I decided to expand it by clicking on it with my mouse. “Is this a new quest?” As the window expanded, I found that my question was betrayed. Instead, it was something else.
{Survey: Would you like to take a survey letting us know what you think about the game? This is not mandatory; however, there will be a limited edition item for your participation.}
“Hm, limited edition item you say? I guess the girls can wait a bit.” It was quite the tempting offer for my collector self. I immediately hit yes on the prompt.
{Question 1: What is your favorite aspect about the game?}
To my surprise there were no multiple choice options; instead, there was a box for me to input my response.
{Answer: My favorite aspect about the game is the waifus! All of the character designs are unique. Of course, I also like other aspects about the game, but the waifus are the best!}
The questions after that were mostly about different aspects I liked or disliked about the game. They were all pretty normal questions until I got to question 9.
{Question 9: Do you like the real world outside of the game?}
“What kind of question is this!? Of course I don’t like the real world! No girls will spare me a single glance, and the only time I ever walk outside is just to get food. There is no way I would ever like living in this world! My dreams can only come true when I am playing! Stupid survey!” Despite my complaints I still answered the question.

{Answer: NO WAY IN HELL!}
{Question 10: If you could trade in your life and become your player character, would you?}
“Obviously!”
{Answer: YES! Who wouldn’t want to be a beautiful fox surrounded by their waifus?}
The screen flashed blinding white before the purple box filled with words.
{Thank you for filling out this brief survey, and we hope you will enjoy the gift. A new life awaits in Dreams Portrayed!}
“Is that it!? And why did you blind me with that!?” The monitor started to rattle on my desk, and my room started to shake. “An earthquake?” I looked around frantically, but soon I noticed something was wrong. I started to feel incredibly dizzy as I fell from my chair and collapsed on the floor. Blinding white light started assailing me in all directions as the tremors rocked everything in my surroundings. I closed my eyes due to the intensity of it all.
Eventually after some time the quaking had stopped, but my head was assailed with pain as I opened my eyes. The world around me was white as far as I could see. My blurry eyes tried to focus several times as I blinked repeatedly. When my eyes finally gained focus, I noticed that the white was snow. Snow covered the ground in all directions, and it rained down from above. My feet were firmly planted beneath the layer of snow under me.
“What the fuck?” The voice that left me was a beautiful high and thin voice, unlike my previous voice. I looked down at the snow covering my feet. Many thoughts raced through my mind. Why am I outside in the snow? Why doesn’t this snow feel cold? Why are my tits a size or two larger than they should be? Indeed, my chest had grown by about two sizes. I was almost flat chested last I remembered. I was barely an A-cup. I don’t know why I was oddly focused on my chest at that moment. I tried to shake my head to free the thoughts.
When I did that I noticed that there was something strange going on atop my head. I immediately lifted my hand to feel, and I felt my own now fluffy ears that twitched when I grabbed them and sent a shiver through my body. “N-n-n-n-no way!” I immediately turned to look behind me and I spotted it. A white tail was swaying back and forth.
Finally I paid head to the clothing on my body. The revealing purple robes showed off my cleavage. I also noticed the breezy feeling in my crotch, and when I lifted the robes it revealed everything. I wasn’t wearing a single article of clothing under these robes. “There is no way this is real, right!? This has to be a lie! But I recognize this body. I am the one that created it. Does this mean I somehow became Misa!?”
