Cheng Miao didn’t think it was “okay”.

Because of the good relationship between the two families, Cheng Miao was compared with Lin Suiyan since he was a child. Regardless of his appearance or his personal ability, he was always overwhelmed by Lin Suiyan.

Lin Suiyan was the favored son of heaven, and he was just a rich second generation. It wasn’t easy to endure growing up. Then the old man of the Lin family became ill. Cheng Miao originally thought that the Lin clan had no leader and would soon be completely divided up, but who knew that Lin Suiyan still had the means to keep it.

After Lin Suiyan took over the Lin family, he was tough and offended many people, including his elder Cheng Jianxin.

Cheng Jianxin had a lot of dissatisfaction with Lin Suiyan for a long time, and while the old man of the Lin family was living in a nursing home he wanted to beat him.

Knowing this Cheng Miao happily joined him to contribute his ideas. Cheng Jianxin gladly accepted it.

It’s no wonder that the father and son couldn’t compare to Lin Suiyan in work, since their minds were used elsewhere.

At this time, Cheng Miao’s hair was messy, and the original neat suit had a button torn off. He was holding a flower pot in his hand and his back was against the wall. He said to the drunken man  opposite him: ” You take one more fucking step, I’ll blow your fucking head off. You, you stay back.”

The man was so drunk that he couldn’t even recognize who Cheng Miao was. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Cheng Miao, with a sinister and blatant smile on his face, and then rushed towards Cheng Miao.

“Ow, help—” Cheng Miao’s screams resounded through the Cheng’s house.

The guests who came to celebrate the birthday today heard the screams, and curiously opened the door and looked out. Some people left their rooms and followed the direction of the sound to the second floor.

When Su Yuli and Lin Suiyan arrived, there were already many people gathered in front of the balcony on the second floor.

The housekeeper opened the balcony door with the key, and everyone saw Cheng Miao lying on the ground disheveled, surrounded by overturned flowerpots, and two bright red fingerprints on Cheng Miao’s cheeks.

The drunkard was pressing on Cheng Miao and pulling his pants. Cheng Miao was so frightened that he broke out in shouting.

Hearing the shouts, Cheng Jianxin, who hurried to see the play, saw Su Yuli and Lin Suiyan standing in the crowd watching the excitement and his eyebrows couldn’t help but furrow.

When he pushed aside the crowd and saw Cheng Miao, his face instantly turned ashen, and he said angrily, “What are you still doing? Pull him away from him now!”

Only then did the housekeeper and the security guard reacted and stepped forward to tear the drunken drunkard away. Cheng Jianxin said coldly, “What’s going on?”

Su Yuli, who was in the crowd, looked at Cheng Miao’s furious expression that was so angry he was about to faint, and couldn’t help but twitch his lips. This is called a self-inflicted sin.

It was Wen Jin who suffered all this in the book.

Cheng Miao was a pampered young master. He had never been insulted like this before. He was surprised and frightened. Tears and snot flew all over for a while. He glanced at Su Yuli standing among the crowd.

Su Yuli was also looking at him and rolled his eyes at him. Cheng Miao saw Su Yuli move his lips, and what he said was clearly – “Serves you right!”

He did it on purpose!

When he realized this, a big fire ignited in Cheng Miao’s mind. He wrapped his clothes tightly, pointed at Su Yuli and said, “It’s him, he locked me up! He, he knew there was a drunk here, and he did it on purpose!”

Everyone’s eyes fell on Su Yuli who was standing beside Lin Suiyan. Lin Suiyan frowned almost invisibly.

Su Yuli said: “Master Cheng, what are you talking about, I’m just used to closing the door. I didn’t expect the door lock to be broken, and I told you, I was going to find someone to unlock it.”

The steward said: “Young master , it was indeed Young Master Wen and President Lin who came to me to get the keys. I think you have misunderstood.”

Cheng Miao growled, “Shut up!” Then he said to Su Yuli, “Does it take so long to find someone to unlock the door?” The more he spoke, the more annoyed he became, and the resentment in his eyes almost overflowed.

Su Yuli was about to speak when he suddenly saw someone standing in front of him.

It was Lin Suiyan.

Lin Suiyan stood in front of Su Yuli, blocking the venomous look that Cheng Miao threw at Su Yuli. He said calmly: ” This is the first time Xiao Jin has come to Cheng’s house. It’s normal that he couldn’t find his way for a while. ”

Su Yuli strongly agreed with him. The Cheng’s house was so big and built with many twists and turns. It was really easy to get lost when coming here for the first time. If he hadn’t met Lin Suiyan just now, he would have really been dizzy.

Lin Suiyan continued: “Besides, Xiao Jin just met you for the first time today. He has no grudge against you, so why would he do this?

Cheng Miao’s mind was full of Su Yuli’s smile just now, and the phrase “Serves you right.” He angrily said, “I just saw him smile…”

Lin Suiyan coldly interrupted him: “Cheng Miao, you are an adult. You are responsible for your own words and deeds. No one is willing to take the blame for such a disgraceful act. I hope you will think carefully before you speak. “

Su Yuli stuck his head out from behind Lin Suiyan, and he again agreed with Lin Suiyan’s words.

This disgraceful and dirty thing was not something he had come up with. It was something thought up by Cheng Miao. He was just giving it back to him. So Lin Suiyan was not scolding him.

Su Yuli had no psychological pressure.

Cheng Miao wasn’t afraid of Wen Jin. But when he looked at Lin Suiyan’s eyes that seemed to know everything, he couldn’t help but burst into a cold sweat.

He suddenly realized a problem. Wen Jin knew about his plan, and had acted one step ahead of him and locked him up. So how could Lin Suiyan not know it?

Thinking about this, Cheng Miao was angry but at the same time he couldn’t help but panic. They had wanted to use Wen Jin to beat Lin Suiyan so that he would not be too arrogant. But now they saw that, Lin Suiyan had already guessed that they would attack Wen Jin.

Today’s show is Lin Suiyan, and with Wen Jin this couple had joined hands to punish him.

Thinking of Su Yuli’s harmless and innocent face, Cheng Miao’s face turned red and white, and became very wonderful.

Even though he knew that he had been set up, Cheng Miao was still unwilling. He wanted to say something else but he heard Cheng Jianxin whispering: “Shut up, you disgrace.”

Because of this farce, the guests left the Cheng Mansion early.

Su Yuli’s gaze frequently swept to Lin Suiyan, who was sitting beside him. It had been more than ten minutes. Since getting in the car, Lin Suiyan had been looking out the window. Who knows what he was thinking because he hadn’t spoken yet.

Su Yuli recalled what happened in the Cheng’s house. He thought what he did was secret, and Lin Suiyan shouldn’t be aware of anything. But seeing Lin Suiyan frowning slightly, he felt a little uneasy.

Su Yuli glanced at the driver in front of him who was concentrating on driving, and stretched out his hand to gently tug at the hem of Lin Suiyan’s clothes.

Lin Suiyan turned his head and Su Yuli looked into Lin Suiyan’s eyes and said, “I really didn’t know there was another person on the balcony. I didn’t lock Cheng Miao in on purpose, I just let go…”

Lin Suiyan said warmly: “I know.”

Su Yuli carefully looked at Lin Suiyan’s expression, “I noticed that you hadn’t spoken since we left. I thought you…”

“Thought I really listened to Cheng Miao and doubted you?”

Su Yuli nodded pitifully.

“No.” Lin Suiyan said with a smile, “I was just thinking about…work.” Seeing Su Yuli’s face full of grievances, he raised his hand and rubbed his hair.

“I know you have the cleanest mind, and you wouldn’t do such a thing.”

Su Yuli said, “If you believe me, I am fine.” On the other hand, he said in his heart, you’re mistaken. This young master looks gentle and harmless, but is actually a very poisonous black lotus, whoever provokes it will die.

Since there was no suspicion, Su Yuli was relieved. He leaned back on the seat and listened to the soothing music in the car, and felt sleepy.

Half asleep, he suddenly heard a cry of surprise. And then his body was violently shaken. Su Yuli was awoken. He sat up, and said dazedly: “What’s wrong?”

No sooner had he said that than he saw a truck coming straight at them. Su Yuli’s pupil’s suddenly contracted. He could only hear a “buzzing” sound in his head. If this hits..

Lin Suiyan said, be careful, then grabbed Su Yuli, and held him in his arms. The car accident happened in an instant. The sound of broken glass and the screams of pedestrians were mixed together, which was not as frightening as Lin Suiyan’s pained grunt. Su Yuli felt terrified.

At this time, Su Yuli was closely protected by Lin Suiyan. He saw the broken glass fall from Lin Suiyan’s shoulder, and then warm drops of blood fell.

The blood slid down Su Yuli’s neck into his clothes, which made him feel terrified. Su Yuli’s face was pale, and he grabbed Lin Suiyan’s arm and said, “You’re bleeding.”

“It’s okay, it’s a small injury.” Lin Suiyan said lightly, but Su Yuli knew that wasn’t true. The oncoming cargo truck1 had knocked their car out of the way.

He was well protected, but Lin Suiyan’s situation was not so optimistic.

Su Yuli turned his head and could see that the truck was parked crookedly on the road. Fortunately, the driver had reacted quickly and avoided it. If the truck had hit them directly then Su Yuli couldn’t even think about what would have happen to them now.

“Uncle Yu, are you alright?” Su Yuli couldn’t see the condition of the driver in the driver’s seat, so he could only knock on the back of the seat and call, “Uncle Yu, Uncle Yu?”

After a long time, a weak male voice responded: “Young Master Wen, I’m fine.”

Su Yuli breathed a sigh of relief. Then he looked at Lin Suiyan again: “You…”

Lin Suiyan raised his hand and the man’s cool fingertips brushed over the corner of his eyes. With a trembling feeling, Su Yuli heard Lin Suiyan whisper: “Don’t cry, I’m here. It’s alright, don’t be afraid.”

Su Yuli thought to himself why would this young master cry, you scumbag? Do you have to pretend even at this time?  He raised his hand and touched the corner of his eye, and he really felt wetness.

Su Yuli blinked and realized that these should be tears of fright. He wiped away the tears and didn’t bother to explain.

At this time, kind-hearted passerbys had gathered around and called the police and an ambulance. Su Yuli and the others were quickly rescued.

After coming out of the car, Su Yuli realized how badly Lin Suiyan was hurt.

Lin Suiyan’s right arm couldn’t move well, and it was initially judged that it was fractured. In addition, several fragments of the car window had stabbed into his back. His blood stained his clothes, which looked shocking.

The ambulance arrived soon, and Su Yuli helped Lin Suiyan into it.

Su Yuli only had minor scratches, which were quickly dealt with. He stood outside the operating room door with his arms folded, waiting for Lin Suiyan. Looking at the red light on the door, his expression was a little complicated.

When the car accident happened, Lin Suiyan’s actions to protect him were completely subconscious, and he could feel it.

But it shouldn’t be.

In this world, the only person Lin Suiyan cares about, other than Elder Lin, was Luo Xing. So why would he rush over to protect him at the moment of danger?

Su Yuli tapped his chin with his hand, and before he could come up with an answer, the door of the operating room opened. Su Yuli immediately greeted him, “Doctor, how is he?”

“The glass shards have been taken out and fortunately there is no major injury. In addition, his right arm is broken and has been re-set The doctor took off his mask, “He will wake up when the anesthetic wears off. “

Su Yuli thanked the doctor and followed the nurse all the way into the ward.

Lin Suiyan woke up soon. The Lin family’s driver had also been treated for his injuries and was placed in the ward next door.

The police investigated the accident and concluded that the driver of the truck was tired and fell asleep while driving.

After listening to this, Su Yuli’s heart was really reluctant. He almost died without even waiting for the enemy to arrange a car accident. Just attending a birthday party and he almost died. It’s really unlucky.

He thought back: “No, if… will I be able to go home?”

Su Yuli thought seriously, but unfortunately there is no if, even if there is, he would not dare to try it easily.2 He is still alive after transmigrating here. But if he dies and goes back, it’s not over.

Lin Suiyan was discharged from the hospital within a few days.

Hearing that Lin Suiyan had a car accident, the door of the Lin family was almost broken down by all the well-wishers. They came to visit with flowers and fruits in their hands, but it was unknown how many of them had come out of genuine concern.

Su Yuli asked for leave from school. The reason for the leave was to take care of Lin Suiyan. In fact, there were housekeepers and aunts at home, so he didn’t need to do anything at all.

After Lin Suiyan was discharged from the hospital, Su Yuli wasn’t too worried. He looked at Lin Suiyan’s injured right arm and felt a little happy. In this way, for more than a hundred days, there was no need to worry about Lin Suiyan’s intimacy with him.

Su Yuli was overjoyed, thinking about Lin Suiyan trying to protect him from injury, he felt a little sorry,. And he felt that he was not a human being who was happy.

“Hey.” Su Yuli sat on the sofa and nibbled apples with such tangled thoughts.  There were footsteps on the second floor.

Su Yuli looked up and saw Lin Suiyan walking down with his clothes on.

货车- I was confused on whether this vehicle was a van or a truck. Then I finally just thought to Google it…. Anyway it’s this type of vehicle:

So I chose to use “cargo truck” as a descriptor.

2. Not sure if it’s clear but SY is wondering here “If I’d died would I have gone back?” That’s basically what he stopped himself from saying.
