“Why did I have to go and say that?” Aries grumbled to himself. In their original plan, he was supposed to proclaim himself the new Suzerain Lord. So why? Why did he have to say Theseus was the new Suzerain Lord?

This was his chance to finally usurp the hypocrite Lord Virgo once and for all, but he used it to prop up a reckless fool like Theseus, who wasn’t even at the Royalty Realm! Theseus was a reliable ally, however. That brat had no intention of taking power; he just wanted a nice place to live.

“Maybe that’s why I said it…” Aries pondered. It was probably for the best that the brains behind this operation, who had no intention of leading, became the true leader. His spur of the moment blunder led to the overtaking of Lord Virgo’s territory. Everyone had also seen Theseus go toe to toe with himself in their previous battle. Theseus’s plan was to make them look stronger than they were by displaying a fake Royalty Realm persona, but now, he had to lead as a lower tier Greater Spirit.

“This wasn’t the plan!” Theseus lectured Aries when he got to Theseus’s office. Bandaged up, Theseus was recovering from his Authority Skill, but his workload increased tenfold. Theseus could barely move at the moment, and now, the two injured partners were stuck in an awkward situation.

“Lord Theseus, I’m so sorry.” Aries joked solemnly.

“Don’t call me that! I have no intention in becoming a Suzerain Lord tyrant like Lord Virgo.” Theseus said grimly.

“I know that boss; that’s why it had to be you.” Aries knew his own nature. The moment Theseus was out of the picture, he would be an even crueler Suzerain Lord than Lord Virgo.

Theseus went quiet. Aries wasn’t wrong.

“Alright then, fine. Have it your way Shade. Our first orders of business will be dealing with our neighbors, abolishing slavery, and minimizing these absurd taxes.” Theseus smiled as he talked. Aries winced. This was the worst policy he could think of! Slavery and taxes were the fundamental principles the Suzerain Lords practiced. This would draw a lot of attention to them!

“You were a Captain right? If you don’t want the Lord position, you are now my head Captain.” Theseus pointed at Aries with a devilish smile.

“Sigh, I guess I have no choice.” Aries resented letting Theseus get the power, but he smiled. Theseus would be a good Lord to serve.

“We need to immediately deal with stabilizing our rule within our territory before anything else.” Theseus pulled out a map of the region. Bordered with Lord Jezebel, Lord Achilles, and the Phaunus Forest, they needed to take a firm grip on their slice of the circular Oceanic Realm. Lord Virgo’s realm was one of the smallest territories of the Seven Suzerain Lords due to its proximity with the Phaunus Forest.

“What’s the plan?” Aries asked.

“Right now, the other Lords think that you are a strong F Rank King or even a D Rank King because of your victory over Lord Virgo. They believe me to be at least an F Rank King as well, and they also know Leo is at a Captain’s level.

In reality, we pushed our bodies too far, and we could lose to any one of the other Lords, and even the remnant Captains of Lord Virgo could finish Oceanus off right now. We need to start acting tough even though we are weak. For all they know, we are one of the strongest factions at the moment.

We need to convince Lord Virgo’s old Captains that we are better rulers than Lord Virgo. Once we’ve roped in the people of Lord Virgo’s territory, we will confront Jezebel and Achilles to cement our revolution. If they are neutral or favorable towards us, we can prosper in peace.”

“Let’s see how it goes.” Aries thought out loud. It was foolish to think the surrounding Lords wouldn’t try to take advantage of their fragile realm. Gemini entered the room.

“Theseus, the people are asking for you.”

“I’m sure they are. I’ll be out shortly.”

“What are you going to tell them, Theseus?” Aries asked.

“We are starting a new territory, The Oceanus Territory.”

Theseus walked out to the crowd of villagers and soldiers, who looked at Theseus with awe, anger, and confusion.

“Today, we have defeated Lord Virgo. His hypocrisy and ‘Holy Judgement’ ends today! For years, the Suzerain Lords have used their tyranny to oppress the masses, but no longer. We are annexing Lord Virgo’s territory and creating a new one built on freedom and equality. Long live Oceanus Territory!” Theseus yelled. Cheers were heard from the spectators. It wouldn’t be long for his announcement to reach the ears of the other Lords; it was time to act quickly before then.

Three months later.

“Lord Jezebel, why haven’t you made your move yet? I thought the plan was to pick off the loser?” Jezebel’s Captain asked her.

“According to our spies, they appear stronger than we originally thought. The new Lord, Theseus, is at least at the F Rank while his head Captain, the Shade Aries, is at the D Rank Royalty Realm. We need to act cautiously. Even though they were hurt in their battle with Lord Virgo, rumors and spies rarely lie.

Unless we team up with Lord Achilles, we have to put up with this ‘Oceanus’ territory, don’t you think?” Jezebel responded.

“But, Lady Jezebel, refugees are pouring into Oceanus from our territory as well as Achilles’s territory. These revolutionaries are breaking the Suzerain Treaty and abolishing slavery!” The Captain, Zamani, spoke out.

“Captain, do you not think I’m unaware? How dare you speak out of turn!” Jezebel slapped the Captain viciously.

“I’m sorry Lord Jezebel. Please forgive me.” The Captain got on one knee to show his sincerity.

Jezebel touched the Captain’s chin and pushed his face up. She kissed the Captain sensually on the lips before forcing his head down again.

“Don’t worry my brave Captain. If they continue to break the treaty, we will crush Oceanus. Give them a little more time.

The Suzerain Lords are the peak of this world. With this power, I can kiss and fuck whomever I wish, I can kill whomever I want, and there’s a good reason the Seven Lords have remained in power for centuries.

Power corrupts even the purest hearts. If this Theseus isn’t corrupted by the end of the year, he will become a threat to our beautiful way of life. Don’t you agree Zamani?”

“Yes my Lord.” Captain Zamani quaked with joy after hearing her wisdom and feeling her thin lips against his.

“Man, being a Lord sucks!” Theseus told Leo. Now that Aries had scared the previous Captains, they slowly came to realize Theseus was the opposite of Lord Virgo. By issuing a decrees to end slavery, promoting freedoms and agriculture, the Oceanus Territory flourished. The bad part was that it was too stressful!

“Where did you get these ideas? They’re different from the Suzerain Treaty right?” Leo asked. He had picked up on some of the Oceanic Realm’s history, and Theseus’s radical changes were unprecedented.

“Back home, I used to live in a country called Agate. It was a country in the mountains, and freedom, magic, and agriculture were its focus. We’re near the forests and mountains, and their government was once top notch. Back home, Agate was said to be one of the Four Powers, which were the four strongest countries in the world. We’ll be just like them.”

“Wow Theseus, I love when you tell new stories,” grinned Leo.

“Come on Leo, let’s go check on Gemini.”

“You bet!” Leo jumped up and down and skipped along the path they walked down.

Leo, Aries, and Gemini, were all getting along better these days, but they rarely met altogether. After Gemini witnessed the battle between the Royalty Realm powers, Lord Virgo and Aries, he desperately trained to become stronger.

“Theseus, you’re here!” Gemini jumped up from his meditative state in surprise.

“Even the new Lord has to check on his apprentice.” Theseus smiled.

“Look, I’ve finally mastered it!” Gemini sat back down and started cultivating.

“Incredible Gemini, after less than a year of aura training, you can use Spirit Cultivation?” Theseus exclaimed. Although Gemini was as average as they came, his work ethic was top notch. Gemini must have stayed up multiple nights a week to achieve such astounding results.

“Use a skill. I wish to see your full progress.” Theseus inquired. Last he checked; Gemini was at the D Rank Mortal Realm.

“Skill: Fire Blast!” Gemini roared. A steam of fire apparated at his palms.

“Impressive, the C Rank Mortal Realm.” Theseus smiled. This was incredibly impressive, but Gemini frowned. He had hoped he was stronger than that.

“Don’t beat yourself up kid. Your progress is leaps and bounds better than your peers. Remember what I said in the past:

Your foundation is more important than you Aura Realm. If you only go to the F Rank Royalty Realm for less than an hour before injuring yourself like me, it isn’t worth it.

Imagine how strong of a monster you will be if you can hold that realm for hours or days!” Theseus reassured Gemini.

“You’re right. Thank you master.” Gemini bowed.

“We’ll see you soon Gemini. We have to get to official business.” Theseus pretended to sound professional. Gemini sent them off and went back to cultivating; he just figured it out recently.

“What about us Theseus? Our realms are stuck.” Leo asked. Now at his best, Theseus was back at the C Rank Sage Realm, and Leo was at the peak S Rank Sage Realm.

“I’ve been working on a plan. As Lord of Oceanus, there are some new avenues I can take.”

“You’re considering the Summoner Path?” Leo inquired.

“I think it’s the most reasonable option. Good job figuring it out Leo!” Theseus responded as the pair walked away from the training ground. Leo ran circles around Theseus after hearing his praise.

“Are you going to make your own again or use one of the skills you’ve memorized.” Leo was well aware of Theseus’s creativity problem. Crafting skills wasn’t wrong in and of itself, but Theseus had the bad habit of devising dangerous yet innovative skills.

Pulling out the Virgo Shade Core from his pocket, he tossed it up in the air and caught it.

“I think I’m getting better at modifying existing skills don’t you think?” Theseus winked.

“How can you be so nonchalant?” Leo cried out. Lord Virgo was inside that Shade Core!

The Virgo Shade Core was the prison Theseus devised to detain Lord Virgo in. Theseus came up with the idea from his experience with the Reverse Shade Ritual and Self-Soul Hypnosis. The skills Aries used in his fight were only feasible because of Lord Virgo’s unstable Shade Core as well as Aries’s personal history with Virgo.

Virgo was now trapped within his own Shade Core, trapped by the spirits he had abused and consumed. Aries told Theseus that Virgo consumed any and all insubordinate souls, from weak to strong at random out of rage. The excess of spirits in the Shade Core made it inherently unstable. If Virgo’s Aura Realm matched the soul energy in his core, Theseus’s plot wouldn’t have worked. Virgo’s own gluttonous nature led to his judgement day.

“Don’t worry, from my calculations, we won’t have to worry about Virgo until the extra souls can’t contain him anymore.” Theseus put the core, which glowed a hue of white and red, back into his pocket.

“So, what’s the name of your skill this time?” Leo asked. Despite showing his concerns, Leo was still childlike at heart and was excited to hear the new plan.

“Summoner Skill: Oceanus Founder.”
