It has been a week since he has woken up in this world and he found out quite a lot of things. First of all, he was seventeen, which was nice and all, but ultimately meaningless.
He has gained a part of his magic back, but his soul still needed some work, however, that would come later, right now he was having too much fun reading this hilarious book.
Seriously, this was comedy.
"Here's what you asked for."
Handing Serafall a few pieces of paper, he walked over to the nearest sofa and plopped down without a care.
Serafall looked over at him for a second before reaching over to an empty class and using her magic to fill it with water.
"What are you reading there, Luke? And why are you, as my queen, not helping your king in this fight with her most fearsome opponent known as paperwork?"
Luke just looked up from the written words and at his king with a raised eyebrow, it was hilarious to see her trying to do paperwork, he was so used to the demon kings only being able to fight that he found this incredibly funny.
"Why don't you hire some assistants to deal with the meaningless documents and hand you the important ones?"
The leader of foreign affairs stared at him for a moment before slamming her head down on the table and groaning.
"and this book is comedy gold, you should read it too."
Slowly, Serafall raised her head and gave him an inquisitive look, expecting the name of the book...
Well, he couldn't keep his king waiting now, could he?
"It's the Bible."
She choked on air.
Snickering at that, he flipped the page, continuing to read.
"You can read that?!"
Shrugging, he snickered at a paragraph, god could be an asshole, couldn't he?
"I mean since I'm a devil now, I should know a few things right? So why not the bible? See things from another perspective and all that."
Ignoring her wide-eyed stare, he returned to reading, this book was full of propaganda. Making out devils and fallen angels as pure evil, ignoring the fact that the fallen angels were once angels themselves, created by the biblical god and then disillusioned by the very same humans they were protecting.
Well, he would be disillusioned too, sometimes, he was more on guard with humans than gods.
"You shouldn't even be able to open that!"
Stopping, he closed the book, keeping a finger inside to not lose the page he was at, and looked at the cover with a raised eyebrow.
"Really?"
The eyebrow came down and he shrugged.
"Meh. I don't know what's so special about it, it's just written that the god didn't really care about the lands he created, hell, he dropped a bunch of water on fallen angels and devils just cus he could."
__
Turns out, reading a bible was something, not everyone could do.
Now, how was he supposed to know that?
It wasn't like he was a paladin a few hundred times and a devil a few hundred times. It wasn't like he had experience with using and defending against holy power... Right?
Anyway, right now, he was watching Naruko...for some reason, he felt that it was a ripoff of something from his original world but it's been so long he can't remember.
The best part? Sersfall was the main character.
They were going through a childhood ark right now and watching the mini version of her was walking around a "Village", and apparently, she had a giant nine-tailed rabbit-fox sealed inside of her... For some reason that sounded very familiar but he couldn't put a finger on it.
Right now, the said woman was too busy with politics that he wasn't introduced to yet, but he doubted he would bother with it. Most probably make a clone and let it handle it.
Raising his hand, he called brought the remote to him and caught it mid-air.
Scrolling through the channels for a few minutes, he turned the TV off when he found nothing interesting.
Standing up, he walked out of his new room and headed down the hall, he was interested in something.
Not even bothering to knock, he walked inside, startling the Leviathan.
"I didn't sense you coming... And knock next time! What if I'm changing, idiot!"
She turned away from him, hugging her shoulders and covering her chest, acting bashful.
"I would walk in anyway, anyway, I have a question, are there any other pantheons that use magic circles or even runes?"
She looked back curiously, tilting her head in confusion.
"...Well, there are humans and the valkyries use magic circles too, but why do you ask?"
Luke opened his mouth to answer, however, before he could get a word in, Serafall gasped, hands covering her mouth dramatically.
"You're not planning on abandoning me, are you?-"
She floated up from her chair and dashed towards her queen, hugging him by the waist.
"Don't leave me, Luke! People would think that I'm a failure of a king, my friends will make fun of me and the devils will think I failed as a leviathan! Please, don't leave me!"
Luke sweat dropped, looking at the shorter girl with bafflement. Wasn't this too much? She might keep this persona for appearances but to actually break down cryi... She was using water magic to make tears...
"...Stop that, I was just interested in magic, that's all."
He lightly chopped her head and sighed. She could be troublesome but he had a way of dealing with troublesome women.
-Flashback-
Luke was tired, his last reincarnation was bullshit people with bullshit powers, and now, he was trying to get a break... But this dumbass would not stop.
"Hey, idiot, what are you doing? Don't you have a world to save?"
Did anyone here know the term "Take it slow?", he was tired and the fact that this bitchy princess followed him was not good for his vacation.
"Why are you acting like this, princess?"
The blonde-haired girl huffed, the typical move of an annoying tsundere.
"Didn't I tell you to call me by my name?"
.... Time to pull his secret technique
"Why do you want me to call you by name, My lady?"
The smile he sent her was what others would consider charming, but it was a smile that he had perfected over his lifetimes.
"I-its not like I like you or anything, idiot!"
YES!
"The feeling is fucking mutual!"
With a twist, he enhanced his body and send a magically empowered kick... At a magician.
-Flashback end-
Needless to say, she was a splatter on the ground.
But he had gotten control of his trigger finger since then. Unless he was pushed too far, no more tsundere girls would die from his secret technique... He wouldn't say anything about tsundere males, though.
