Sirzechs Lucifer was curious and intrigued Serafall leviathan, the Serafall, that happy-go-lucky, hyper, and all over the place serafall, had acquired a queen.
That could only go well.
If the person was responsible, then maybe they could keep her in check...
Hopefully.
And with that hope, he waited for the pair to arrive with his wife, Grafiya, and his best friend, Ajuka.
The door slammed open with a familiar woman wearing a green long-sleeved top and a dress, with her hair in pigtails.
"Miracle Levi-tan is here!"
He smiled, yeah, that was Serafall and behind him was a tall man, wearing a gray waistcoat gray pants, and a white button-up shirt. He wore short leather gloves and had a cigarette in his mouth, already lit.
Well, not like it would kill him, they were immune.
He seemingly looked over them with eyes that seemed more calculating than Ajukas and then went back to the slouching position, letting out a puff of smoke.
He seemed nice!
Standing up, he smiled at the two.
"Ah, Serafall, you're finally here."
Walking over to the two his smile widened at the leviathans antics, but also felt some sadness, she wasn't like this before the war, she was like any other young woman her age but everyone dealt with things differently.
"Of course Sirzechs-Chan, did you think that I wouldn't come?"
He chuckled and just shook his head. Looking over at the man, he held out a hand in greeting.
"My name is Sirzech Lucifer, nice to meet the Queen of the Leviathan."
The stranger would have to be tested by his wife but there would be no harm in seeing how long he has come, would it?
His green eyes stared at him for a second, then at his hand, and finally, gripped it with his own.
Suddenly, his surroundings disappeared and he could see the bright blue sky, but he was far from alone.
Around him were scattered bodies in armor of all kinds, some were dented, others pierced through the chest, and some even cut in half.
Looking in front of him, he could see a set of armor sitting on a stone chair, the armor was slick, black with gold and red highlights, fingers sharp as claws, and hours on its helmet curving up.
The head was tilted to the side and supported by his hand as the other rested on the other armrest.
A pitch black spear was leaning on the side of the backrest of the chair.
Two dots of dark violet lit up, in the slit of the helmet and his eyes widened.
"Luke."
As suddenly as it appeared, the image was gone and he was staring at the man -Luke- that still held an impassive face.
Being able to breathe again was nice, he deduced absently and nodded with a smile that never slipped from his face.
"So-"
Raising an eyebrow at the questioning tone his voice took, he tilted his head, red bangs falling to the side.
"-... Which one of you has a maid fetish?"
... Did anybody else hear the sound? Because it sounded like his hopes dying a horrible, horrible death.
The sheer impassiveness on his face was impressive and the flat tone he used was like he just asked about the weather.
"Pfft..."
Serafall put a hand over her mouth, trying to suppress a laugh, only partially succeeding.
___
Luke stood there as his question was ignored but judging from the reaction of the maid... Well, it was the maid.
Just to make his point, he ignored them as well, taking out his earphones and watching anime while still standing behind Serafall.
[I'm throwing away my humanity, Jojo!]
Man, this thing is so dumb and entertaining... He loved it.
... Once he gets bulkier, he is definitely cosplaying this Dio character, hopefully, they don't ruin him.
Feeling a tug on his sleeve, he looked away from his phone to Serafall, who looked at his phone curiously.
Taking out one of the earplugs, he handed it to her and lowered the phone as she put it on.
As the two men continued the discussion, the two just watched anime, what better way to pass the time?
Two episodes later, he pointedly ignored the sound of a throat being cleared as did his fellow viewer.
"Excuse me, Luke, Serafall?"
The two looked up in sync and raised their eyebrows. The amount of coordination unnerved the three a little but they ignored it.
"Well, this next topic is about you."
At those words, the woman next to him turned her head away, avoiding his eyes. So this must be what she kept a secret for a while now.
Should be interesting.
Turning off his phone he pocketed it and raised an inquisitive eyebrow, seemingly interested in the subject.
"Since you are the first ever piece that Serafall ever reincarnated-"
He used his immense willpower to suppress a snort. Even if she didn't revive this body, he would still reincarnate regardless.
"- You must know about the responsibilities of a queen, right?"
He nodded, head still tilted to the side in confusion, this man liked beating around the bush, didn't he?
"As a queen of one of the devil kings, you have to prove yourself to the other devil nobility, Grafiya here has participated in a war by my side so no one doubts her abilities, we simply have to reassure the people that no one unworthy has taken an important place in the hierarchy."
...Seriously?
Reassure the people? That was stupid, they were the kings, and their judgment should be absolute, what kind of devil society was this?
"And who will be my opponent?"
The question seemed to turn the unmoving robot that was the maid on as she turned to him slightly to reply, however, before she could say a word, the redhead cut her off.
"It will be me."
"What?!"
Hmm, seems like this wasn't their original plan, judging from Serafalls reaction.
Luke absently wondered if there would be any political backlash if he killed one of the devil kings as he put another cigar in his mouth nonchalantly.
