“Hello you have just died.”(Goddess)

I, died? How? Why? Where am I?

“Yep now let’s get you reincarnated.”(Goddess)

“I’m not ready yet I need some time first.”

“Nope you are going to be reincarnated as an ancient vampire in another world Ready?”(Goddess)

“I’m not ready.”

“Too bad. Oh there’s someone I want you to kill down there. What was his name? Rein no, Rain no, Rainhard no, Reinhart no I can’t remember but I’m sure you will work it out. By now.”(Goddess)

Before I could protest something magical happens with bright sparkling lights and I am now standing in an alley of a town or city. First things first I died and now I am a vampire in another world. Well, this was unexpected. Now, what is my new body like?

Looking down at myself I see that I am wearing a Victorian goth style black and red dress that reaches to my knees with short sleeves. I have black stockings with a garter belt and straps with black ankle platform shoes that are about five inches tall. ON my arms I have elbow-length black laced fabric that attaches around my middle finger and covers the top of my arm. My silver hair is in twin tails reaching to my waist. On my back I can feel something heavy reach back I grab a metal pole of some sort and pull it over my head in front of me. It is a scythe that is almost twice my height it is mostly black with a blood-red blade.

Now that I know what I look like who am I? do I have a status?

“Status”

I box appears in front of me giving me information about myself like in a video game. Now let's see. Apparently, my name is Elise. I am an ancient vampire at three thousand years old! Wait what are these stats? They all say infinite what does that mean? Opening my skills tap I presented a list of skills that goes on forever. It has everything from basic attack skills to world and universe-destroying magic. I knew I am now an ancient vampire but whoever had this body before me must have spent a lot of time training.

Now that I know who I am I decide to leave the alley and explore a bit. However, before I can I am stopped by three bandits. One normal height with a grey shirt and collar with a chain. One short with pink cloak and one large muscular with a white and green shirt.

“What do you want?”(Elise)

“Just everything you got if not it's going to get painful” (Collar bandit)

“Why would I ever give you anything?”(Elise)

“Well then it seems you are choosing the painful route get her!”(collar bandit)

All three of them run at me but why are they so slow? I stand and wait once they reach me I thrust the blunt side of the scythe into the large one throwing him back a few metres. I wasn’t even putting much strength into it. I then spin back thrusting the end of the shaft into the collar bandit and then still spinning hitting the last with the other end of the shaft.

All three are now on the ground unconscious. I should probably get out of here before someone notices. I put my scythe away and am about to leave but am stopped by someone shouting out to me.

“Halt young lady. What happened here?”(Knight)

“Sir knight these strong and violent men tried to rob me so I protected myself.”(Elise)

“IS that so you should have called out for the guards it is our job to protect civilians like yourself. Although it doesn’t look like you need much protecting.”(knight)

“I am alright now sir knight I will be going on my way.”(Elise)

“Wait my lady allow me to escort you in case you are attacked again.”(Reinhard)
“I will be fine sir knight”(Elise)

“In that case, I will be leaving you. If you need me my name is Reinhard.”(Reinhard)

Wait Reinhard sounds like the names the goddess said. Wait, is this the world of Re: Zero? If so he is Reinhard van Astrea. Does the goddess really expect me to kill him? What should I do now? Have him guard me so that I can find a weakness?

“Actually, sir Reinhard could you please be my escort for the afternoon? My name is Elise.”(Elise)

“If that is what you want and please call me Reinhard.”(Reinhard)

“Alright then Reinhard lets go.”(Elise)

We leave the alleyway and begin our journey through the city. Everyone is looking our way I’m not sure if it's me or Reinhard they are looking at. As we walk along looking in various shops, I try testing his abilities. I try attacking him making it look like an accident. Every time I go near him he dodges me no matter what I do and how many times I do it. Why does he need every other divine protection when no one can hit him in the first place? He doesn’t look like he knows I am intentionally doing it but he might be good at hiding it. Now I need to get away from him so I can plan to kill him later.

What should I do could I just ask him to leave? I need to find a way soon otherwise he will get suspicious. We continue walking down the street until I stop hearing someone calling for the guards. Is that Subaru? He has perfect timing.

“Reinhard someone is calling for help shouldn’t you go and help them? I will stay here and wait for
your to return.”(Elise)

“I will return as soon as possible.”(Reinhard)

As soon as he is out of sight I run as fast as I can as far as I can.
