Emmy looked at the boys before her with indifference, slightly wondering why they came here to make trouble. Did they even make trouble in the first place?

"Harlin, leave them alone. Don't start a fight just yet," Emmy said as she continued to wake the others and Harlin relaxed, cracking his neck.

"Yeah listen to your owner, so you became a dog now," Lynx mocked and a vein popped on Harlin's head but he didn't move from his spot.

Emmy glanced up a Lynx indifferently, "So your names Lynx huh, just like that trouble-making creature in the story books," Emmy spoke slowly, her tone tinted with thinly veiled mocking, "Are you jealous of Halin perhaps? I mean for someone like you, even if you wanted an owner, nobody would want you."

Tssssssss-

The scene descended into silence for a moment as Emmy resumed waking up the rest, Lynx's jaws dropped and she smiled in satisfaction. Harlin was stiff and his shoulders trembled ferociously, when finally;

He broke.

"Hahaha! You didn't expect that one did you Lynx? Hah~ Boss is too awesome!" Harlin fell to his knees in laughter.

"You!" Lynx nearly choked, "I-, Ugh! You little, Hilichurl excrement."

Emmy blinked as she finished waking up the last person, which was Fischl. At his words, while Emmy revealed confusion, the gang looked like they wanted to throw some hands.

In other words, they wanted to fight and Lynx could sense it.

"Hmph! Look at you, do you dare to play a game with us?" Lynx didn't want to fight them, last time he barely escaped unscathed.

Lynx was a bully but that didn't mean he was stupid. Offering the challenge first means that he now had some options to play and that was more than enough.

"Oh? What do you say we do then?" Sebastian asked as he glanced at the group of boys behind Lynx.

"How about a race from Favonius church to the end of the bridge? Or you could chicken out and allow me to win."

"What's the catch?" Emmy asked as she looked at him, "What do I get from this, what do we get from this, and most importantly, what do you get from this."

"Huh?" Lynx asked as if he was confused, "The loser does whatever the winner asks of them, what did you think it would be?"

Emmy thought about it for a moment, looking toward the others to gauge their reactions. Seeing them nod, Emmy sighed and then smirked as she strode up to Lynx confidently. He looked at her nervously just now noticing how tall she was.

"When will we begin this challenge?"

"Tomorrow, at noon," Lynx said, boldly looking Emmy in her eyes.

"Okay, we will be there tomorrow at 11 am, be ready to get your ass handed to you!" Emmy said as she turned around.

"I'll have you kneeling beneath my feet when you lose, just you wait!" Lynx sneered as he waved his hand, "Let's go!"

Emmy and her group watched as Lynx departed from the area. They continued to watch for a while after he left through the gate and turned back to what they were doing.

"Boss will you beat him or are we gonna beat him," Andre said in excitement, wanting to join the action.

It was as if in his mind they stood no chance at losing, Emmy shook her head in amusement. She touched her chin as she looked at him and smiled.

"Do you wanna have a go~," Emmy asked.

"Yes!" Andre had his head ravaged by Emmy's hands and shut up.

"Unfortunately, you said that too late," Emmy shrugged helplessly, "Next time okay?"

"Awww~."

"Boss are you confident?" Sebastian asked bringing the attention of the others to his question.

"Hmph! Does one believe that fallen agent of mischief could triumph over the eagle?" Fischl said as she looked at him.

"No not really," Emmy said casually drawing shocked looks from the others, "It was a joke alright, I won't be kneeling before a person called Lynx, I have trained for this remember?"

"Now that I think about it doesn't this feel kind of wrong?" Harlin asked, drawing the other's attention, continuing he said, "I mean when the boss wins, who's going to say that she won? I mean it can't be one of us and it can't be one of them either right?"

Emmy was stunned.

The others, similarly were in a state of shock as they all stood under the trees, not moving an inch. Emmy clenched her fists as she placed them on her head, she cursed Lynx fervently in her mind. Her eyes sharpened as something unknown surged within her.

'Lynx, you slithering snake,' Emmy thought.

Emmy and the gang were walking from the east gate in resignation when Aries suddenly shouted out, which was completely out of character for him. Immediately they all started worrying, all but three. Sebastian, Emmy, and Fischl exchanged looks with each other and watched the chaos unfold.

"Hey bro what's wrong!" Andre circled his brother mildly panicking, "Did something happen?"

"I got it!" Aries said as he clasped his hands, "Let's just ask the guards to survey the race, you know the ones by the gate. They're probably bored as hell they could use some excitement."

"I wouldn't call a bunch of kids racing "excitement" but whatever," Ansgar said as he crouched on the ground, "So who's gonna ask?"

"I'll do it." Emmy said crossing her arms, "I think I should since I'm the one who is going to race."

"Objection!" Sebastian said looking at the others, "I'll do it, the boss has to race so she should focus on that. She should get used to her body and even plan for it."

"Agreed," Fischl said, "Only the powerful can reach the stars, and only those who have walked the highest mountains and swam in the lake of eternal frost can become powerful."

"She was saying Boss has to train to win under any circumstances," Sebastian translated for the group, who was not yet at his level in Immernachtreich speech.

Emmy wanted to argue but they were right, she didn't know what Lynx had up his sleeve. So she should prepare for it so she wouldn't be caught off guard.

Emmy sighed, "Alright, I'll listen to your suggestion and make sure everything is in order."

"Okay!" Harlin clapped his hands, "While the boss does that, we go and prepare everything for the special day, right."

"Yes!" Ansgar said, placing his hands in a mock salute.

"Alright! We are gonna beat that loser, Lynx!" Andre rubbed his hands

"I'm gonna beat that loser Lynx," Emmy said as she flicked Andre's head, "But it's a team effort I suppose."

"Hmm... By the way, boss what are going to ask Lynx to do?" Sebastian asked, Aries, lifted his head in curiosity.

Emmy saw their looks and suddenly felt like teasing them, "Hmm... maybe I'll ask him to marry me, I mean he is so good looking right," She blinked her eyes cutely.

They were unmoved.

Emmy sighed, "You guys need to loosen up, anyway..." She looked around her expression growing cold, sending shivers down their spines, "I'm going to do the one thing an arrogant and self-centered bully like that will detest the most."

They leaned in as they waited for her to continue but Emmy never spoke. She even started humming as she bobbed her head, closing one of her eyes and looking with the other, she smiled sweetly at them.

"Take a guess," Emmy said as she stopped her humming.

"Dive into the lake and stay for 2 hours!" Andre said, a bit too enthusiastic.

"No! But it has potential."

"Be your lackey for a month," Aries said, cracking his fingers.

"Nope!"

"Be submerged within the precipice of the aqua domain!" Fischl said, placing her hand above her eye.

"No! You all like to recommend water for some reason, I'm not that cruel of a person. I'm kind-hearted yeah," Emmy said, ignoring the time she burnt the face of a man for slapping Fischl in the face.

She listened to all their suggestions for a while, Ansgar even had the idea of making him eat dirty clothes in front of a crowd. She was tempted to go with this humiliation tactic but it didn't sit right with her. Ansgar said he just said it for fun since he ran out of ideas.

The things people come up with when they have nothing to do.

Like this race, Emmy mused.

"No. No. No. And No," Emmy said as she rejected every answer that came her way, thinking that compared to some of the ones she was told, her idea seemed tame in comparison.

Of course, it was, she thought it was a game and she didn't take the punishment too seriously.

She was going to win after all.

"So, what is it?"

Emmy smiled, "I'm going to make him apologize."

"Huh?" Sebastian muttered in confusion.

"Isn't that a bit... too soft?" Harlin said as he asked as well.

Fischl and the others kept silent waiting for Emmy to continue, they couldn't believe that was all.

It wasn't.

"I'm going to make him apologize to every single bullied individual he wreaked havoc on in his life, and we are going to watch him do it," Emmy smiled her eyes swirling in a black mass, "Isn't it nice to go from the one in power to humbly bowing your head to those you ruled over in the past."

Emmy put her hand on her face and a smile that shook their soul took place, "Isn't it good, I wonder how his face will look like, hehehehe!"

Only one word came to Harlin's mind as he looked at the Boss.

Crazy!
