About 15 minutes earlier…
Emmy was looking at the mission details for the battlefield. She would be given an evaluation based on how many she could kill in a small amount of time.
===Mission Details===
Objective – Kill 5 Hilichurls.
Time Limit – 3 hours.
Rewards – Bow Technique by Instructor Recommendation.
Punishment – No Reward.
Bonus: Find the ??? and kill all the residents!
=================
Her use of strategy, and technique, and how smoothly her plan went will also play a part in this.
So she had to do it with care.
Depending on her score she could get some rewards induced by the system. Naturally, they were books and other things but not for her…
No, it was for Fischl, this was all riding on her score. So she couldn't fail.
So Emmy waited for the perfect opportunity to strike. She observed the sleeping Hilichurls and saw that there were 2 archers and 3 warriors.
Quickly she went over what she knew of these guys in her head. The parents were Adventurers and so had a lot of knowledge about the Little Creatures.
Emmy cocked her head as she looked at the Hilichurls thinking…
She couldn't barge in but she could probably lure them out and kill them slowly but…
She didn't want to do that so, Emmy looked at the explosive barrels a fair bit away from the sleeping Hilichurls.
She smiled.

"Okay… I think I have everything ready for this, it's pretty simple," Emmy said as she looked at the stones in her hand and her future targets.
As always they were sleeping or dancing around their little fire posts but most of them were close to the explosive barrels and just in line with Emmy's plan.
"They all look like they are having a good time," Emmy said as she cracked her fingers.
Unknown to them however they won't be having such a good time in a few short moments.
Emmy checked again to make sure that everything was in order before she went to battle. Even if they were just a few healing shows she had to take them extremely seriously because of what she had to lose or gain.
She wouldn't mess this up.
So Emmy carefully pull out the sword from the sheath making a low sound but it seemed as if the targets didn't hear it, thankfully. It would put her in a tight spot if she were to take them head-on.
She backed up it's not wanted to make a mistake and alert her targets before she even began to assault them.
She checked the area and noticed that none of the Hilichurls, except those who were dancing, had even moved. She began to check her sword in earnest.
"Woah," She said making a soft noise, and carefully checked the blade behind the tree, not wanting to make the sunlight bounce off of it.
It was a pretty sword, she wondered how she hadn't noticed how pretty it was until now. She used it for training after all but Emmy was known to be extremely focused on a single task at a time.
Moreover the fact that she had to master an unknown sword art in one hour before she was sent to kill some creatures.
To be frank she didn't have time to notice how pretty a sword was. She had, at the time, much better things to do.
They were also a hundred times more important as it concerned Fischl.
The friend at a very special place in her heart and those that could reach that place deserved the very best from her no matter what.
Anyways back to the sword. While the hilt was the standard issue diamond string pattern and the guard shape of a square it wasn't what was special about the sword.
No, it was the fact that there were countless symbols of clouds and wind on the blade and yet it did not seem to jeopardize its integrity or its balance. The blade felt light and had a smooth surface even with the carvings on its blade.
Though she did wonder why this dull blade had such a nice design.
It was by far the best blade she had seen in her life, well...
Other than her mom's own [Ocean Severer], a blade made entirely out of sapphire. A family heirloom that was used during the disaster 500 years ago by her Inazuman ancestor.
But now wasn't the time to reminisce about that.
"Sigh, time to work," Emmy said as she looked at her targets, "I still have to find the secret bonus round."
Emmy stopped admiring the sword and placed it back in the sheath carefully, doing a couple of stretches before she started her observations.
She began to move around as she continuously scouted the perimeter of the camp, taking notes here and there. She memories and places and included some of them in her plans for later.
She held the stone in a hand tightly and squinted her eyes in concentration as she silently calculated the distance of her throw.
Around 40 meters, optimum wind speed and all weather conditions were stable. A clear site with no branches or leaves to block out her attacks.
She was ready.
"Hah~, let's do this thing in 10 minutes," Emmy looked at one particular Hilichurl who was quite close to the barrels and a smile crept up her face, "This is gonna be easy."
The rock that was half the size of her palm rocketed into the sky with little sound and descended at an angle onto the unsuspecting shield Hilichurl who was currently sleeping.
Emmy was aiming for the mask but it hit the chest instead. It didn't affect her plan much, it was just a personal goal that failed to be achieved.
She would improve her aim after she was done with this but now was not the time. Emmy watched as the Hillichurls scrambled up from their spots searching for the sound.
"Yah!"

The Hilichurls circled the one who got hit and they were currently looking at the strange rock that descended upon it.
They didn't know where it came from but they needed to look.
But just as they looked to begin a search a strange whistling sound was heard and they looked up to see a rock falling from the air onto the explosive barrels.
Just before the barrels detonated, they looked at the place where it originated and saw a tuff of black but by the time they wanted to charge over... It was too late.
The barrels detonated and all of them were either killed or thrown to the ground. They didn't stand up for a long time.
Which, in the middle of a battle, proved to be fatal.
Shiiing—
Emmy unsheathed her sword and rapidly charged toward the downed Hilichurls and started stabbing them in their faces.
Checking the Hilichurls she soon discovered that two of them died in the initial explosion, one was heavily injured and the other's injuries were moderate.
[+2 Enemy Killed.]
Nobody needed to tell her which one to kill first, so she started with the moderately injured ones to stop them from getting up to fight her.
[+2 Enemies Killed.]
Emmy then moved on to the last one and ran her sword through its skull, hearing the final system notification.
[+1 Enemy Killed.]

Emmy took in a deep breath and smelt the burning flesh in the air, just like the day her friend was kidnapped and she had to save her.
She burned a man's face in her quest for vengeance then and yet, she did not feel an ounce of guilt nor sadness for scarring another human. She vaguely remembered seeing some bones but that wasn't her problem.
If she were honest, he was lucky she didn't make him choke to death but she left him to suffer; Hopefully in the hands of the Ordo Favonia or the Knights of Favonius.
'He was definitely human shaped but that wouldn't save anyone who wants to harm Fischl,' Emmy shrugged as she looked around, bored, 'He could count as a human, barely.'
Even though she thought he was simply an advanced animal.
Anyone who thought they could harm those she wanted safe, couldn't count on anyone's mercy if she wanted them to pay the price.
Emmy placed a hand on her chin and started to stroke it, slowly. She looked at the purple screen in front of her and she decided to do it.
It wouldn't hurt to get some extra rewards right?
[Y/N]
[Y]
Her vision cleared as the screen disappeared and was replaced by a new one right after, this time though the screen was red and had a big warning sign.
===Bounty Hunt===
Objective – Find and kill the Mitachurl in the heights.
Risk Estimate: C rank and above.
Reward – [+1] on the rating scale.
Punishment – Detrimental to the main score.
Warning – Failing the bonus might be detrimental to the Main score.
================
What!?
Failing the bonus would be detrimental to the main score!
Why didn't you say that sooner?
Emmy looked at the screen coldly as if she wanted to kill it with her gaze. She walked up and down constantly with her hands behind her back, her brows scrunched up in irritation.
'Isn't it just a bonus round? Why would affect the main score," Emmy said as she looked at the sky, the timer coming just into her vision.
[2:23:52]
Emmy took a deep breath and exhaled her heated breath, feeling her emotions leave her body along with the air. Sweat ran down her face and she wiped it off, flicking her wrist as she loosened them.
It was a small habit she developed to keep herself calm in case she was feeling particularly strong emotions.
She was calm now.
[2:21:57]
The time once again came to her vision, reminding her that she had little time to spare if she wanted a good grade.
Failure wasn't an option in this place, because she fought for something.
Someone precious, Emmy's heart warmed at the thought of her friend's cute smile. The smile lit up her world, she wanted her to be happy and grow strong alongside her.
Emmy giggled, and then she turned serious once again, looking at the map to see a large yellow circle in the mountain area.
[Target area of residence. Go to the area and investigate for clues.]
"Alright," Emmy said as she stretched her body, "Let's get to work! Time waits for no one and especially not for me."
Saying such she started to walk toward the mountain, her sword on her hip and hands at her side. The young girl began to march toward the mountain with a serious face, her expression was slightly murderous.
