The time was early morning, the wind danced through the city as the people once again began to go about their affairs.
In one open area on the east side of Mondstadt there stood a group of children, each one was blessed with good looks and had a weapon on hand.
There were currently in the middle of executing a series of stretches as they followed the instructions of a little girl with black hair and blue-green eyes.
She appeared to be the group's leader as they twisted, bent, and turned to match her movements.
The group consisted of three girls and five boys, all of which were committed to this session.
"Hey, Harlin what is that, can't you curve your back more!"
"Hey, Sebastian what are you doing? Did you even have breakfast this morning?"
"Hey, Noelle! Put more effort into it will ya!"
The girl in front continued to bark out orders like a drill officer, the other children followed her instructions with tears in their eyes.
Aye! The boss is too cruel.
"Why are you crying? Don't tell me you guys are intimidated by such easy things."
Emmy continued to berate and hound the group of children and in return, they didn't dare to complain to this devil. They swallowed their tears and followed her instructions for 10 more minutes.
When they finished the group of kids was surprised to see how good they felt and Andre even started bouncing around. He threw a few punches to the air as he tested his body.
"Huh? This feels awesome!" Andre said and then he turned toward the others, "So, when are we going to start sparring?"
"Right now! The boss said that we will be sparring together every day from now on," Emmy did one final stretch before she grabbed a sword from the nearby rack, the morning rays just breaking threw the clouds.
It was an hour past the break of dawn. Not a time the children thought they would start combat training.
"You all have been doing weapons training with tutors for a week, so you should be at least capable of swinging a sword. In Fischl's case, she can shoot an arrow in the direction of the target."
That's right a week had already passed since the day Emmy had the talk with Inu. During this time, she had gone into the system space numerous times and trained Fischl in the art of the bow.
'I say train but all I did was correct her mistakes,' The system, being the helpful teacher that it was showed her several tips for identifying errors in techniques and her own innate ability helped as well.
'It was still locked though, for some reason. Even though I can use it once in a while, it still wants to play shy and hasn't been removed from its locked state,' It was mostly the system's advice that helped her to give Fischl tips and her innate ability only activated occasionally.
But it was more than the one time it activated the first time it appeared and for Emmy that was already an improvement.
Emmy did one final stretch before she stopped, she glanced at all her friends as they brandished their weapons. Fischl twirled her bow and Andre spun his sword.
Emmy took a deep breath, "Alright! We should start sparring now and what's going to happen is I, your boss, will take you on one at a time! Fischl and Noelle however will work together against me."
The group cheered as they all lined up at the edge of the small area. It was a small circular arena that was rarely used by the knights and although she could use the one in the adventurers guild.
Emmy wanted to see how sparring outside impacted their training sessions in the long run.
She was also sick of the air in the underground, but she would never say such a thing.
Emmy looked at the group as they finished lining up and she wasn't surprised to see who went up first. It was their resident narcissist and self-proclaimed "womanizer".
Andre Grimwald.
"Hmph! So it's you Grimwald, you dare to challenge me!" Emmy said, borrowing a line she read from an Inazuman light novel, and Andre never one to miss a beat, responded in kind.

"Foul demon, I shall send you back to the abyss! On guard!" Andre brandished his wooden sword and dashed toward Emmy, his brown hair whipped with the wind.
Emmy smiled and she also ran toward him. Andre when he was within a distance he deemed acceptable swung his sword at Emmy in a horizontal slash and she in return blocked it with ease.
Andre swung again but vertically and Emmy dodged, she brushed aside his sword and took a step.
Easily entered his guard and the boy backed away quickly. She followed him swiftly and then she stopped just short of his seemingly unstable sword, aimed at her forehead.
He had tried to bait her into his range and she evaded even that.
'The Boss really isn't an easy opponent.' Andre thought as the two both distanced from each other once more.
"So close but so far. You got to do better than that!"
"Heh! I'm just getting started, get ready to experience what I learned for a week."
"Gladly."
So the two battled each other for 20 minutes straight, with Emmy dodging and attacking at several intervals. Andre however also wasn't a slouch as even though Emmy hit him many times, he was also able to land a few blows.
[Not bad, if the system didn't have the current Host he would have been a suitable candidate.]
The system just dropped a bomb that Emmy couldn't get into in the midst of a spar and she was left helpless at the hands of a burning curiosity. She grumbled, before landing a few more hits on Andre while the rest missed completely.
He was improving, Emmy noted.
Quite quickly too. Before this, she was able to land tens of hits on him with no problem but now she could only land 5-7 and even those weren't a certainty.
Of course, she wasn't using her full strength but this was still a notable achievement for someone who only had a genuine week of practice.
Emmy however could use the system simulation space, this allowed her to turn 1 week into 15. Through the use of that and her training. She quickly achieved [Master] in both [Hane Kenjutsu] and [Energy Manipulation].
It was also during this period that Emmy discovered how hard it was to become a master in anything.
Before she reached master rank she had to study and apply many things to her combat style, so she was now extremely knowledgeable in the art of sword combat. A far cry from her former self.
And while she still was incapable of being a proper teacher, she was getting there.
The system had a 1:15 conversion rate as of now but she couldn't use it directly or she would suffer damage. So she was only able to convert the one week she had into four.
'It doesn't affect the massive advantage it grants and how fast I can gain combat experience. All I have to do is engrain all I have learned into my body in reality and I can easily gain the skills needed.'
The system was truly a cheat device that allowed one to ascend to Godhood in record time!
With such a thing her dream of being something that could keep everything, she cared about safe from any threat would come to reality.
Then she could explore her world with peace of mind that everything that made her function was safe.
Ever since she got the system, her ambitions only grew but Emmy still struggled to keep a cool head. After all her growth was too fast for her mind to keep calm about it anymore.
While Emmy was drooling about how she would become a Godlike being in the future with her system, the others were just watching the ongoing battle in amazement.
