Emmy twirled her sword in her hand as she stood calmly in the middle of the training ground. Her opponents, Fischl and Noelle, already had their weapons in check.

Fischl had a quiver at her waist which was filled with a multitude of arrows, all of which had their heads covered with cloth.

Noelle held up her Great sword which was barely past her own height but that didn't hinder the girl at all, she was to strong for that.

Emmy looked at Sebastian who nodded at her and said, "Begin!"

Emmy tilted her head, dodging the arrow that came to her from the front and began her assault on Noelle at a brisk pace.

There was no need to rush.

Noelle stepped forward and swung her sword at Emmy who dodged it, hitting the girl in her armpits lightly before hitting her lower back in another step.

"You have enormous strength and while that is an advantage, you have not the skill to make use of it in full," Emmy said, her voice cutting through the battle field like a cold knife. "Also, there is no need to over-extend your shoulders, you are using a sword, not your fists."

"Yes!"

Just then an arrow whizzed by and the girl didn't even look before she brushed it aside with her sword, after doing so she dashed toward Fischl.

With her speed she crossed the distance of five meters in an instant, the girl was loading an arrow into her bow when she felt someone hold onto her shoulder.

Eh?

"Your loading speed is slow but while it could be attributed to your short period for training, you need to move more," Emmy wasn't courteous at all when she instructed Fischl. "Trust yourself enough to load your arrows on the string, you don't need to look to confirm."

Emmy knew that Fischl suffered from a lack of confidence, which was why she developed her princess persona. But Emmy also knew that Fischl was talented and hardworking, thus she had no doubt the girl was skilled.

Patting her shoulder and lightly tapping the flat side of her sword on the girl's face for good measure, Emmy stepped away from the sword that wanted to tear into her back.

"A sneak attack? Hehe, it's a pity that such a thing would never work on me!" Emmy went to strike the girl in the stomach, lightly before she once again escaped from an arrow. "Breathe, don't force your core to tighten when it is unnecessary. Welding a giant sword is already quite stressful on the body."

"Noelle, dodge!" Fischl shouted. In her hand she had an arrow and in her mouth, she had placed three. It was clear what she wanted to do.

"Okay!"

"How entertaining. I wish you the best," Emmy smiled as she looked at Fischl, sending chills down the girl's spine.

It was as if Emmy didn't take them seriously at all!

But Fischl wasn't one to quit often, so she hardened herself and knocked her bow with an arrow. She remembered what Emmy told her earlier and she took a deep breath before she fired.

Emmy dodged it and the second arrow came swiftly to assist the earlier one, Emmy dodged that one as well.

More and more arrows came and Fischl's quiver continued to decrease in the number of arrows it had. At some point Fischl had begun firing two arrows at a time or rather, she reloaded so fast the arrows seemed to be fired at the same time.

Emmy began to move increasingly faster as the speed and timing of the arrows increased and became more refined as time went on. The girl began to seem more and more ghost-like the more she dodged.

'It seems that Fischl abandoned her doubt and just began to shoot her arrows without fear! But I feel like something is missing...' Emmy thought before she came to a realization.

Where was Noelle?

Her eyes contracted and she felt a shiver down her spine, wind pressure came from behind her. She also felt a presence coming from the front of her rapidly, the two girls had her cornered!

Emmy looked at the ground and saw a large shadow closing in on her rapidly. It had already begun to go past her ears and almost touched her shoulders. Emmy knew she couldn't dodge it.

So... She didn't.

Bam!

A large amount of dust kicked up in the small ring and slightly obscured the view of the spectators. Fischl squinted her eyes.

Did they get her?

"Urgh..." A groan sounded out of the dust before a person walked out with another on their shoulder.

It was Emmy.

Her facial features were marked with a trace of amusement as she carried Noelle on her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. The tiny girl struggled but could get out of the larger girl's hold.

She held an arrow in her left hand which was now broken and had dust on her clothes. Blood dripped down from her fingers and hit the ground but they disappeared quickly.

"It was a good move, if not for my superior skill and instinct I might have been beaten. But I certainly didn't expect you two to advance to Advanced proficiency during the battle. It was quite an eye-opener."

Emmy spoke slowly and softly as if the one whose hand was dripping with blood wasn't her and she didn't feel pain from it at all.

Other than a slight sting, she didn't feel much. All the pain in the virtual space was real and was transferred from her mental sea to her physical body, thus she grew used to pain without actually getting injured.

It was a seemingly insignificant thing but provided her with a major advantage!

After all, she could cultivate resistance and endurance to pain without harming her physical body.

Naturally, it didn't come with no drawbacks and drained her mentality much faster than if she were just, say, using the space for reading.

It was one of the reasons she only spent four weeks in the learning space despite it having a 1:15 time ratio.

Emmy was particularly surprised that they were able to land a hit on her even if directly.

And she certainly wasn't expecting Fischl to use a special move from the [Heart String]. It opened her eyes.

"Good job! You girls did well."

The girls beamed at the praise.

"Wow! That's cool huh, Diluc? Diluc?" Kaeya said in excitement, he didn't expect to meet a person like Emmy here.

Although she might impact his plans for the future, he was sourly in need of entertainment at the moment. There wasn't much to do in Mondstadt or anywhere in Teyvat for one.

Other than gambling of course but kids like them weren't allowed to do such a thing.

"That girl... If it were purely based on skill, she would be able to beat me!" Diluc marveled.

Emmy had caught his interest, everyone called him a genius but seeing the girl in front of him had his eyes opened. Nobody could match him in skill at his age other than strong opponents like Varka and senior knights.

Some of which he could beat but to meet one of a similar age group shocked him.

"Brother!"

A voice snapped him out of his Revere.

"What!" Diluc said in annoyance. Although he cherished this adopted brother of his, he frequently got on his nerve a lot.

It made him feel like stabbing him!

"That move she did was amazing huh? Did you see how it happened!"

"You want an explanation?" Diluc asked. His brother nodded slowly and Diluc paused.

He didn't see much of it either but from what he could catch the girl had twisted her waist and sword, allowing her to both dodge and deflect the large sword toward the ground.

Along with grabbing the arrow that came to her covertly, she also—

"Diluc! You are probably monologuing right now, aren't you? I didn't get an explanation yet!"

Diluc grunted.

So annoying!
