“Alright, Suda! We have arrived…”

Suda slowly let go of Ryushi’s hand as she was amazed by the beauty of the main garden they walked into, it was a large place surrounded by a brown wooden building, with a large fountain in the middle. A few children were playing around it.

“It is beautiful, don’t you think?”

Usually Rani would always be present around this time, but he was nowhere to be seen.

“Make some friends while I get Rani for you, Suda.”

“Okay!”

Ryushi was walking into the building from the right side, and that was where he saw Rani’s assistant, Yuka.

She was dressed up in her cozy dark blue kimono, it went well with her short dark hair and her light blue eyes.

“Anything I can do you for, Master?”

“Yes, I am looking for Rani, I need to speak with him.”

“Oh, Rani went out in the city to buy some ingredients for Yasubo’s anniversary.”

*Whenever an orphan would have their birthday, it would be largely celebrated amongst all 12 different dorms, having a large meal altogether.*

“Ah, right…”

“How come, Master?”

“Well, you see, I have brought a new orphan.” Ryushi replied pointing at Suda, who had already gotten her clothes wet with playing near the fountain.

Ryushi face palmed but as he saw that Suda had pure joy on her face, he turned back towards Yuka.

“She’s new, and can be… Energetic.”

“How adorable!” Yuka chuckingly said.

“I assume you wanted her to stay in Rani’s section?”

“Correct.”

“That is always possible, Master! I can do the work instead of Rani.”

“Great, but be sure to let him know about it when he gets back. I will take care of some other things.”

Ryushi went back to his dorm to take care of his plants, it wouldn’t take more than 30 minutes before Rani arrived back at the orphanage.

Rani was back heading towards the kitchen where he found Yuka talking to someone else.

“Master! You’re back!”

“Helloo! I have brought the ingredients you needed, Ishihara.”

Ishihara was the main chef of Rani’s dorm.

“Great, thank you.” She replied as Rani handed over the ingredients to her.

“I heard that there’s a new person in the dorm?”

“New person?” Rani confusingly replied

“Oh, right. Your father came here not too long ago, he had brought a new child, her name is Suda.”

“I see. Where is she?”

“I had prepared a room for her, she is most likely checking everything out there right now.”

“Alright, let’s go.” Rani replied.

As the two were walking through the hallways Yuka noticed that Rani was a little nervous.

“Feeling okay, Master?”

Rani looked back at her, “I’m fine! I was just surprised that father did not tell me.”

“Well, you were gone while he was here. What else am I your assistant for?”

“Haha! That is true. I can always count on you.”

The two opened her bedroom door and saw her running inside of it with two other children who she had befriended.

“Woah, making new friends already, huh, Suda?”

“Yeeeees!!!” Suda shouted waving her arms in the air.

“Suda, I think it is best to introduce yourself to Rani.” Yuka said.

Suda ran towards Rani’s leg and smothered her face against it.

“Aughhhh”

It made Rani chuckle.

“You’re very adorable! I am Rani, this is my dorm, your name must be Suda, right?”

“Suda!” She replied.

“Saeki hurt me!” Shintaro said in the back, one of the two children that were playing with her.

“Bleurgh! Little crybaby!” Saeki mockingly replied.

Saeki and Shintaro were both slightly older than Suda, they were both seven years old. And would always fight with each other.

“Saeki, we already spoke about this.” Yuka said.

“Shintaro is an idiot…”

“Well! I think it is time for lunch, everyone?” 

“That’s right, I was just talking to Ishihara, the kids must be getting their food now by her assistants.” Yuka replied.

Main chefs would always have their group of assistants to help distribute the food she and her team would make.

Each dorm had its own designated eating place where all children would eat at. Although, at times such as a birthday, everyone would often be eating outside on the hills.

Ryushi’s orphanage was situated in an absolutely comforting place, surrounded by nature, protected by the mountain hills, on top of one hill sat Ryushi’s house.

After a few minutes, everyone came together in the dining room, Rani sat alongside Yuka and Suda, with Saeki and Shintaro on one of the different tables.

“Not feeling hungry… M- master…” Yuka said.

Rani had an absolutely irritated expression on his face, as he was staring at Suda who had already made herself dirty with the food she ate.

‘Oh right… I forgot about his pet peeve with people eating inappropriately.’ Yuka thought.

They would spend the rest of their dinner eating and watching Rani teach Suda how to eat properly.

Suda was having the best childhood she could ever imagine having, and spent a lot of time with Saeki and Shintaro, as well as later on building on a relationship with Yasubo.

[A few years later]

Suda was at this point 14 years old.

“Goodmorning, Master! I’ve brought you your favorite plants today!” She told Ryushi standing in front of his house door.

“Thank you, dear. How was your training with Yasubo?”

“It was good! But he seems to have gotten a lot more intense lately…”

“That is a good sign of you doing better.”

“I see…”

“Master, you seem a little sick lately.”

“Ah… You’ve noticed?”

“Come, let’s take a seat inside.” Suda said walking in.

“Suda, there is something I need to tell you.”

“What is it, Master?”
