“Zao… I know everyone thinks that I’m going crazy or something, but, this can’t be something that happens by chance, right?” Xy queried, his voice filled with uncertainty.

“What do you mean?” Zao asked, a note of confusion in his tone.

“The hallucinations.” Xy replied, his gaze fixed on the ground.

“Ugh, Xy just buckle up, maybe get yourself patched up by some sketchy shaman or something.” Zao said, standing up from his seated position.

“But…”

[The moment when Xy was talking to the yellow person]

“I’ve been here for years!”

‘For years… He must know more. But, how do I even find him?’

‘He seemed very hostile when I saw him.’

“Anyways Xy, we should get going soon.”

“Where are we going?”

“I know a shaman! What, you thought I was joking about it? I think it could really help.” Zao replied.

‘Aren’t shamans pretty much nonexistent nowadays though? The Aria Nation… They took over.’ Xy thought.

“What if we head to the Aria Nation, loads of “shamans” there.” Xy said.

“That would take us a good while though, and if we go there it would have to be with the other two.” Zao replied.

“I guess you’re right…”

[At the same moment, at a random vague place, deep in the woods]

“Trust me… That boy is no ordinary boy.”

“If what you are saying is true, we have to kill him.”

It was the yellow boy conversating with three other individuals. *Unidentified appearances*

“If that human can truly see spirits, killing him will just anticipate much worse things.”

“But that was not the only thing.” The yellow boy said.

“What else?”

“That boy… The second he spoke, behind him was something that I could only see as the personification of death, Ilnir…”

“BAHAHA! What are you talking about!”

“This boy sure knows how to make up some crazy ass stories!” Another spirit replied.

“Hilarious.” A third unidentified spirit said.

“Don’t joke around with this.” The other spirit said, his body began to shapeshift into a shadow that only emitted two glowing red eyes.

“I repeat. Do not joke around with our lords, do you want us to be exterminated?”

“I’m not joking around. Please, just listen to me, Rayth.”

“Then what, what else did you see?” Rayth replied.

“It was as if that boy emitted two different auras… I of course do not know it exactly, but alongside Ilnir’s aura, I felt the aura of Qelena as well.”

The angry spirit immediately went back to his shadowy unidentifiable form, as he heard the name of Qelena.

“Wait for a second…” Rayth softly said.

"Qelena. Are you referring to the Myth?"

“Correct. That has to be the only reason he was able to see me. No ordinary human would, as we exist beyond human frequency.”

Qelena and Ilnir were known to be the Gods of Life and Death. Qelena being the God of Life, and Ilnir Death. They were known to be one of the most powerful and feared Gods of all.

There had been a story about those two specific Gods…

During the Great War against Ziphot in the World of Dawn, the two Gods had produced their own child, unfortunately, as it happened during the time of the war, they wanted their child to be somewhere safe, and so that they can support Numen with the war that they would have eventually won.

They eventually decided to bring their child to the world of Gaius, incarnated as a human being. Hoping, that their child would someday return to them.

This child would be acknowledged as the Child of the Balance, referring to the balance of life, and death.

This story had been very vague in the minds of the Gods and Spirits, it even went through the people of Gaius. Mainly because it was said that the child died while ascending to Gaius, as the amount of energy was overwhelming its body to the point of killing the child, without the Gods knowing.

It had been a myth for all this time until a particular spirit felt something unusual…

“We can never know if it is true after all… That is not the biggest problem, however. The fact that he is able to see beyond normal human frequency is enough reason for us to end him while he is still weak.” Rayth said.

While the spirits were having this conversation, a God overheard their talk. He concealed his presence so that they would not notice him, but in disbelief, he walked away thinking that it would not be possible for a newborn child to pass through the bridge by itself.

*The Bridge is the only known passthrough for spirits and Gods to enter Gaius. It was also known to be the most dangerous place in the World of Dawn because of the amount of Zipholets lurking around it.*

“Don’t make me laugh, a child, passing through The Bridge by itself? What a joke.”
