Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Three Days later live news were shown of the Iron Overlord. Rose left the mutant academy and used his mist form to travel near the Iron Overlord. Exiting his Mist travel state, he summoned the mask of the Wolf (The mask the Lamb wears) in his hands and put it on his face. A howl of a wolf could be heard as dark fog gathered around Rose. Till it took form of a foggy wolf who looked at Rose who had changed in appearance. His hair turned long and white and a Bow had formed in his hands.

"Wolf it's time to hunt!" Rose said and he could feel the excitement from wolf, ready to rip apart Thier prey. Rose jumped up and turned himself into black mist again and flew on to the top of the nearest building. Arriving there he looked at the Iron overlord create chaos and destruction, to try and get Iron man to fight him. Rose got into position and aimed at him with his bow. Feeling Kindreds power flow through him, he selected Obadiah as his prey for the Hunt.

The Mark of Kindred appeared over the Iron Overlord and then vanished as Obadiah was confirmed as prey. A silver white arrow formed in the Bow and Rose looked at the Wolf and said "Fetch and Rip" The Wolf howled and jumped of the building and pounced on to the Iron Overlords back, biting into the joints of the right arm, Wolf easily destroyed it and with a loud thud the Arm landed on the Ground. Obadiah cursed "Fucking hell, what kind of Mutt is this?"

Rose with his bow fully pulled back, ran and leapt of the Building. Doing a forwards spin and letting the Arrow go, as he was perfectly over the Iron Overlord. Like a shooting star, the Arrow easily penetrated the Armor and cleanly shot Obadiah in his head. Killing him instantly. Rose on the other hand landed perfectly fine on the opposite buildings roof and looked back at Wolf. "Come Wolf the Hunt is over." He said and then hummed Kindreds little melody as both disappeared into black mist.

Not caring the news crews that had recorded the entire thing, from when Rose marked Obadiah for the Hunt. Tony arrived five minutes later and saw that the Iron Overlord and Obadiah was already delt with. "Jarvis look for the Person that stopped Obadiah." Tony said and then just flew away, having a bad taste in his mouth for coming too late to the Show.

In another place Rose took off the Mask and returned to normal and sat down on the Ground. Though it's his first time killing someone he didn't feel a thing, no conflict, no guilt nor even happiness. He alone felt that it was normal, that death was part of him. Looking at the Mask, he knew that it was probably Kindreds influence on him. As Eris made him crave chaos to a certain extent, Kindred made him accept death and see it as part of him.

It was weird knowing that these powers had some influence over him, but he was also glad that he didn't need to struggle after killing someone, since killing would be required a lot in the Future. Rose Dispelled the mask and it disappeared. He decided to sit a bit longer in this abandoned looking alley, till he felt ready enough to return to his room, without making Bobby notice anything off.

After an hour he stood up, went to a nearby pizza place and ordered two pizzas to go, after receiving them and paying he again used his mist form to travel back. Bobby was laying on the bed, watching TV as he saw Rose return. "Hey I got us Pizza!" Rose said and showed the two pizza cartons. Bobby turned the TV off and got up, as Rose went to Thier small own personal kitchen and took out some plates. Putting the Plates down he saw Bobby open both Pizza cartons and was appraising the Goods.

"Good choice with the Hawaiian there, didn't think you would know that i like pineapple on pizza?" Bobby asked as he looked at it and then the Pepperoni one. "The Hawaiian was for me, but we can simply split both." Rose said with a smile. "Sure, but why were you out so late? Anything happened? Don't lie to me and say you just went to get Pizza, when we have a Pizza place that delivers to our Academy."  Bobby demanded and looked at Rose with his arms crossed.

"I needed to take a stroll, i just felt like i needed to get out of this room, the Academy and just let go? That would be the best way to put it. I am not used to this life, more used to be on the street and doing my best to survive. Sometimes I just feel restricted or chained." Rose lied through his teeth, using Rose's past memories to think of a reason. He felt a little bad about lying to Bobby, but he didn't want to reveal that he was the one, that killed the Iron Overlord. He wanted to have his masked self, as a second identity, to get into contact with people like Tony. So they wouldn't disturb his peaceful life with Bobby.

"I see..." Bobby said with a thoughtful look and went over to hug Rose. "Tell me if you feel like this again and I will go on a stroll together with you. The Current situation out there isn't safe, the Mutant Brotherhood had been quiet for a while and are probably planning something. One of the reason why no one of us X Man had gotten heavily injured. Since most mission was only dealing with humans and not mutants. So promise me to not just go out alone again, without telling anyone okay?"

"Or at least ask Ororo to go with you, if you don't want to go on a stroll with me." Bobby said softly and Rose felt happy, but also guilty. "I will let you guys know, but let's eat for now, before the Pizza turns cold!" Rose said and Bobby nodded giving Rose a quick kiss, he started cutting the Pizzas and took his half's. As they ate, Rose wondered if the X Man existence influenced the Appearance of the Iron Overlord, since it should have taken at least another week or more.

Tony also get rescued way earlier then he should have been. Things really are different from what he could remember. After finishing eating both cuddled for the rest of the evening and then fell asleep. Next morning news of the Masked Vigilante the Lamb and Wolf were all over different media. On Tv the video of the Mark appearing, then a black mist like wolf pouncing on to Iron Overlord was showed. The media impressed by the Wolf's appearance and strength since it bit through steel with ease. After it came the most repeated part of the Video of Rose leaping from one roof to another, while making a forwards salto and shooting his bow. Extra details was put in how the Vigilante had shot a clean hole through the Armor and Obadiah's head. All while in the ear and rolling forward.

It was an impressive feet for sure and not something every run of the mill vigilante could do. The News also recorded Iron man's awkward late arrival and how he left. Making many people that dislike iron man, laugh at him for getting there late. Also the Typical stuff of some critics calling the Vigilante a murderer, when Obadiah's rampage had killed four people already and heavily injured many more. If Rose didn't stop him, more might have died. Naturally there were people calling out said critics with facts and logic, but you can't win with logic against these people without brains.

Not even a few days later, Tony Stark Held a conference and announced that he was Iron Man, while also asking for the Masked Vigilante to contact him, so he could give him something as a thank you gift. Naturally Rose wasn't stupid enough to simply contact Tony, no he would ignore the request for now and come visiting him when he least expect it.

[Just so you know, Rose had completely forgotten about Loki and will remember a bit later when the Thor story starts.]
