A circular massive chamber was located at the deepest part of the dark nest, where six eggs were being incubated and were about to hatch in a few days. Two level 37 Lesser Wizowls sat on top of the white eggs, while a Lesser Wizowl lay on the floor in the corner, hibernating in order to evolve into a higher species. It would wake up in a few days and become a much better monster than it already was, assuming nothing stopped the process.

A level 35 Lesser Knightowl stood guard at the chamber's entrance, alert for any intruder, especially after hearing the roaring sounds of the battle inside their nest.

For years, this nest had managed to survive in this harsh world. They thrived and fought for survival at all times. Many had come to conquer their homeland, and many had failed. That was the source of their assurance... the same self-assurance that would be shattered soon.

They were unaware of the outcome of the battle that had occurred near the entrance to their nest, and thus were unaware of what was coming for them.

Eon spread the wings of his newly acquired Lesser Wizowl, which protruded from his massive Lesser Bildabear body. He rushed through the dark path with such speed thanks to his fully developed wings and their enormous size, which reached three meters from both ends. Finally, his wings could support his weight, completing his form's mobility and power.

Eon followed the scent of his prey to navigate the puzzle-like tunnels designed to be extremely difficult to navigate for the monsters who attempted to subdue this nest. Eon could not be stopped by the puzzle tunnels. As the passages became increasingly narrow, Eon closed his wings and moved forward with his powerful legs. The Lesser Knightowl, on the other hand, was trailing him and doing everything it could to stop him—but it couldn't.

Eon took a few seconds to reach the middle of the tree, where a dead end was located. A dark chamber with four of the nest's remaining inhabitants, one of whom was unable to fight at the time. His blue glowing eyes darted around, darting toward the two Lesser Wizowls incubating six eggs, but he came to a halt at the Lesser Wizowl lying on the floor, hibernating—it was his main target.

Without hesitation, the level 35 Lesser Knightowl shrieked and spread its wings, rushing toward Eon with its skill, Talon Attack, and while being protected by its non-damaging active skill, Vanguard. The Lesser Knightowl that had been following Eon emerged from the tunnel and, like the other, lunged its talons toward Eon using its skill, Talon Attack.

Eon, on the other hand, did not even try to avoid the incoming attacks; instead, he stood and used both of his arms to block them. The two talon attacks passed right through him, and he didn't even flinch. He simply put his arms down and growled when the Lesser Knightowls finished their attacks.

Eon spread his wings and flew toward the two Lesser Wizowls, ignoring the two flying knights who tried to stop him. He was moving at 260 kilometers per hour, covering a massive distance at an alarming rate.

When the two level 37 Lesser Wizowls saw Eon charging toward them, they cast the only spell they could use to fight back without harming their eggs. They opened their mouths and blasted Eon with two Wind Blasts. Instead of using his speed to avoid the incoming attacks, Eon continued his charge and took the two Wind Blasts, then emerged with his armor, which absorbed the two attacks.

Eon spread his arms and prepared his claws for a quick attack while in the air. The two Lesser Wizowls attempted to flee by flying up and firing another round of Wind Blasts. There was, however, very little room to run to.

The two Wind Blasts flew toward Eon, and he simply took them and continued his charge while lunging his hands toward the two. Eon was able to grasp them by the necks.

The two Lesser Wizowls shrieked as their Mana Shield drained their MP. Their chest became encased in ice.

It was not yet over.

Both Lesser Wizowls collapsed to the ground near their eggs. Their bodies crumbled and scattered. There was no blood or flesh, only cold, smoking ice. They were powerless to respond to an enemy they couldn't even hurt.

His attention was drawn when he heard the two remaining Lesser Knightowls howling in rage as they flew towards him.

He then took a step forward. Eon let the two Lesser Knightowls use their Talon Attacks on him. They could slow Eon down by knocking him back, but they couldn't completely stop him as he walked slowly toward the hibernating level 40 Lesser Wizowl.

Regardless of how helpless their situation was, the two desperate Lesser Knightowls refused to surrender. They attacked Eon once more with their current most powerful damaging skill, Talon Attack, and knocked him out of his path. It succeeded in delaying Eon for a while.

Eon, on the other hand, had plenty of time on his hands.

Eon's armor crumbled, but before the two Lesser Knightowls could launch another attack, another Ice Armor replaced the nearly worn-out one like nothing.

Eon had reached the final Lesser Wizowl. He stood beside it, staring with his glowing eyes. The Lesser Wizowl was sleeping peacefully, unaware of what was going on in its nest. The good news was that, unlike the two Lesser Knightowls who continued to attack Eon, this Lesser Wizowl would not go through what they had. It would have no idea what it was like to be a higher species, which it was about to become, but it would suffer nothing.

Eon gently placed his hand on the giant owl's chest, and ice began to cover its body.

The entire body of the hibernating Lesser Wizowl transformed into an ice statue in a matter of seconds. For a few seconds, Eon stood motionless, staring at the sculpture he fashioned from his prey's body.

However, in this world, level was not the only source of power. What skills a person possessed and how they used them played a significant role. And Eon had chosen to become an unstoppable force that no army could ever defeat.

Eon flapped his wings. It was time to go. Eon flew away from the nest, ignoring the two raging Lesser Knightowls. His goal was accomplished. Fighting the two defensive units would be a long and dangerous battle of attrition. He had a limited amount of MP, and there was a good chance he wouldn't be able to kill both of his tough enemies before his MP ran out. He'd get more experience points in a much safer manner outside than if he stayed here.

The six Fledgling Sentrowls, ranging in level from 1 to 4, had their eyes inside the dark hole while the sounds of ongoing battle inside the nest echoed. They were too weak to fight the person who had entered their nest, and they were well aware of it.

When they saw a certain entity rushing out of the hole using his massive wings, all of the Fledgling Sentrowls' eyes widened. Despite being constantly attacked by the two remaining Lesser Knightowls, he landed safely on the floor of the top of the tree next to the six Fledgling Sentrowls.

A creature with the body of a Lesser Bildabear and the wings of a Lesser Wizowl. Had blue glowing eyes that shone through his ice helmet.

When the Fledgling Sentrowls saw Eon with their almost blind, blurry eyes, they raised and spread their wings in an aggressive display. They were young, but courageous.

Eon, on the other hand, just stared at them for a second before walking away. He spread his wings again to carry his massive Lesser Bildabear body, leaving the Fledgling Sentrowls alone and unharmed.

It wasn't a sign of mercy; Eon simply didn't care about them. It was pointless for him to kill them because he would gain no experience points.

The two Lesser Knightowls lost sight of Eon the moment he flew into the vast sky. They used their racial exclusive skill, Hunter's Mark, on him so he couldn't easily escape—but that racial exclusive skill wasn't reliable when the user was nearly blind from sunlight. The Hunter's Mark's marking was dependent on the user's vision, and Sentrowl evolution line had very poor eyesight in daylight.

Eon escaped, and their battle was over. Eon was victorious.
