Hundreds of Diviar Wolves prowled the woods in search of their enemies. They looked around every corner for the person who had attacked their people, but they couldn't find him. They arrived at the attacked Deowolves' den, only to find the shattered frozen corpses of their brethren— their pups hidden at the bottom of their den— and the culprit nowhere to be found.

However, the perpetrator had not yet left.

The strongest pack of reinforcements who responded to the call was located in the wilderness. They were the offspring of the killed Deowolves, gradually catching up to their parents' level. They weren't as powerful as their parents, but they weren't to be underestimated.

The group was led by their alpha, who commanded ten Deowolves. Four level 40 Deowolf Fire Fangs, three level 40 Deowolf Pyromancers, and two Deowolf Shadow Claws made up the group. They stayed together as they patrolled the area, ready for any battle that awaited them.

The two Deowolf Shadow Claws were hidden in the woods, scouting their path ahead. The main formation was led by the alpha Deowolf Fire Fang, while the other four were accompanied by the Deowolf Pyromancers as bodyguards.

Their patrol, however, came to an abrupt halt when a specific entity landed directly in front of them. The formation formed as the Deowolves watched what had just arrived with vigilance.

Their gaze was drawn to an entity clad in ice armor, slowly rising to its feet and raising its sharp claws. Its glowing eyes darted around the formation, signaling that the battle was about to begin.

Eon charged into the backline, waving his wings, without even giving the opponents time to react. His Barbaric Rush's cast range grew so long that he could target Deowolf Pyromancers hiding in the backline. When the Deowolf Fire Fangs and Deowolf Pyromancers saw Eon approaching, they used their abilities. Flamethrowers and Blazing Fangs charged at Eon, but he avoided them by flying higher and continuing his charge.

The Deowolf Pyromancer Eon was pursuing tried to use its skill, Ghostly Leap, but before it could even move its legs, Eon landed his fist in its face thanks to his incredible speed. As Eon pushed its head down to the ground, the Deowolf Pyromancer could only roar.

Eon stood up and turned to face the remaining two Deowolf Pyromancers. The alpha Deowolf Fire Fang used its skill, Alpha's Challenge, to prevent Eon from slaughtering the other two Deowolf Pyromancers. The Alpha's Challenge, however, was nullified due to the effect of Barbaric Rush, which extended his crowd control immunity if the skill last hit a unit.

Eon charged again at the second Deowolf Pyromancer. All five Deowolf Fire Fangs pursued Eon, but none of them could keep up with his speed.

When Eon approached the Deowolf Pyromancer. Instead of fleeing, which proved futile, the Deowolf Pyromancer turned to face Eon and opened its mouth. A destructive line of fire emerged from it. Because of their close proximity, Eon didn't even try to dodge, instead covering his head with his arms and charging through the Flamethrower in his path.

The Deowolf Pyromancer could not deal significant damage to Eon even with double damage due to Ice Armor's weakness to fire elemental attacks. What the Deowolf Pyromancer could do was stare at Eon's fist lunging so quickly toward its head. Then, an exploding sound echoed as Eon slammed the Deowolf Pyromancer's head into the ground, crushing it.

Then, before the others could catch up with him, Eon vanished and rushed to the last Deowolf Pyromancer. The Deowolf Pyromancer fired a flamethrower at Eon, which he easily avoided, and after realizing that its attack was not even capable of slowing him down, the Deowolf Pyromancer jumped away from Eon's path in the hope of avoiding his attack.

Barbaric Rush, on the other hand, was an unavoidable attack.

The Deowolf Pyromancer jumped, but Eon changed his course and pursued the Deowolf Pyromancer as well. When the Deowolf Pyromancer landed on the ground, Eon tackled it, causing it to fly away due to the force of the attack. The Deowolf Pyromancer's final cry echoed until its body collided with one of the trees. It then fell to the ground as a hunk of squashed meat.

The entire area was instantly engulfed in flames as the alpha Deowolf Fire Fang used its skill, Fire Field, to reduce Eon's ice elemental attack by 11%. However, the Deowolf Fire Fang used this skill not as a strategy, but to demonstrate the alpha Deowolf Fire Fang's overwhelming rage for Eon.

The alpha Deowolf Fire Fang's raging fang rushed toward Eon. Rather than deflecting the incoming attack, Eon thrust his fist into the mouth of the Deowolf Fire Fang.

The Deowolf Fire Fang gnawed Eon's hand, but that was the end of it. The Deowolf Fire Fang's body stopped moving and transformed into an ice statue clenching Eon's hand.

Eon moved forward, his gaze fixed on the four remaining level 40 Deowolf Fire Fangs. He flinched as two sets of fangs suddenly gripped his neck before he could reach them. The two Deowolf Shadow Claws' raging growls echoed as they crunched on Eon's neck. Their attacks were so powerful that Eon was pushed back. A flawless assassination capable of killing a difficult target... They were not, however, powerful enough to eliminate Eon.

As one of the Deowolf Fire Fangs activated it, a Fire Field appeared around the area. The Fire Field, however, would only reduce Eon's ice attack by 5% due to its level.

The reinforcements would arrive, but there would be nothing to find... Their allies were gone, and the perpetrator was nowhere to be found.

Eon easily escaped and was now on his way to the next stage of his evolution... To grow into a much more powerful monster.
