At the height of the sun over Kegali's vast forest. The wind blew and waved, and the thick leaves that covered the area danced in unison. A swarm of Slugs congregated while eating the algae. Their eyes were darting around, looking for any sign of danger.

Five Slugs, one of level 2 and four of level 1. They were eating quietly while a soundless silhouette cast a shadow from above. Although it made no sound as it approached, the Slugs could smell it. They were completely unfamiliar with the smell, not because they couldn't tell what creature it came from, but because it had the smell of several beings. Three of them should be unable to fly, and one should not be present during the day.

They had nowhere to run because they were on open ground. The Slugs stayed together as they used their racial exclusive skill, Body Mucus, to prevent any form of hold. This ability would always work against Peasant mandibles and sky dweller talons like Fledgling Sentrowls. However, it was insufficient to avert what was to come.

A winged silhouette emerged from the shadows of the trees and flew silently to its intended destination. Its striking white feathers caught the Slugs' attention and directed all of their heads toward the approaching foe. Then a volley of mud balls was launched. Their target, on the other hand, spun in the air and dived forward with such speed while dodging their attacks. It reached its intended target, the level 2 Slug, with such mastery of its flight maneuver and speed.

Coming down from above, the massive predator tackled the level 2 Slug with such force, stabbing it with a pair of sharp tusks.

Before the level 2 Slug could react, the sharp tusks pushed it away from the formation, propelling it through the air. The Slug growled in pain as excruciating pain attacked its entire body while being pushed.

The level two Slug attempted to slip away from the tusks by using the slippery liquid all over its body, but the strong force while flying prevented it from doing so. It struggled and even managed to slip while its attacker maneuvered upward to avoid the incoming mud ball.

But before the Slug was able to break free...

The level 2 Slug rolled to the ground, fighting for its life. The four other Slugs, on the other hand, rushed to its aid. However, before they could even get halfway through, the hunter's silhouette reappeared, expertly navigating between trees as it rushed toward the level 2 Slug.

The level 2 Slug's gooey eyes darted to its incoming attacker. It was greeted by an image of a Fledgling Sentrowl spreading its wings, but this one had a Slug's head, Small Higante Boar tusks, and Peasant Mandibles that opened as it approached. The level 2 Slug attempted to take it down by firing mud balls, but none of them hit the target. The sharp tusks of death stabbed the helpless Slug with such speed and ferocity.

The level 2 Slug's lifeless body was left behind as Eon waved his wings and surged up to the sky, dodging the incoming barrage of mud balls. His gooey eyes were hidden inside his head as he flew through the wind at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, making no sound. He moved in a circle between the trees, watching the movement of his four prey on the ground.

After confirming the location of the four level 1 Slugs, Eon folded his wing and dived faster toward his targets, allowing gravity to pull him down. The four Slugs fired their final mud balls in the hopes of taking out Eon. To avoid the incoming mud balls, Eon spun in the air, maneuvering his movement without slowing down. When Eon had gained enough distance, he spread his talons and landed on the four Slugs.

The four Slugs growled in agony as they attempted to flee the heavy weight above them. They were slick enough to crawl their way out, but not fast enough to flee. Eon opened his mandibles while standing on the Slugs. He stabbed two of the Slugs with such force that they couldn't escape using his mandibles and tusks.

Both Slugs trembled on the ground, growling in agony. But that wasn't the end of it... Eon stabbed them both again with his mandibles and tusks, pushing them into the ground with all of his weight. While vomiting green liquid, the two Slugs could only growl.

When the first two were confirmed dead, Eon turned his attention to the last two, who were struggling after witnessing the first two's deaths. Before they could even try to flee, Eon stabbed them and pushed them to the ground with his weight, which the Slugs couldn't fathom carrying.

The agonizing cries of the two remaining Slugs echoed throughout the area as they helplessly struggled for their fragile lives. No one, not even their merciless attacker, listened to their cries. Eon used all of his strength to stab the two Slugs on their already bleeding backs, then used their slimy bodies to wipe the dirty ground.

The two Slugs became stuck on his mandibles and tusks as a result of the force of his stab. Their lifeless bodies dangled like unwanted decorations, while mucus and a clear stream of blood poured from their bodies and dripped into the ground. Eon waved his head, easily disposing of the corpses, before walking forward on his long, white legs.

As he gazed at the corpses of his first prey as a flying entity, Eon growled. The hunt was a success.

While jumping, Eon spread his wings and waved them. He quickly gained momentum and flew out of the scenery, making no sound and dodging the massive trees along the way. His days of arduous training, punctuated by mishaps, had paid off. The breeze was swaying his gooey eyes as he flew at such high speeds, with both of his mandibles and tusks leading the way. He soared through the massive trees and out into the open sky with another wave of his wings.

The clear blue sky and the bright sun greeted him above the cover of tall trees. There were no obstacles above, so Eon could move freely and quickly. His vision could see the clear horizon, allowing him to see if there were any incoming flying dangers that he could easily avoid by hiding inside the forest. However, predators in the sky preying on sky dwellers were rare, and if they did appear, they were massive enough to be seen.

Eon growled as he watched the scenery of the Red Island below, and despite being so high in the air, he couldn't see the end of the island or even the great forest of Kegali, which spoke volumes about their size. Many things could be seen from above, and by only flying for a brief moment, he had already caught a glimpse of the monsters lurking in the forest beneath. Hunting became much easier than it had ever been, as did escaping the dominating monsters of this part of Kegali.

He flew above the infamous Death Canyon, watching the red field where countless armies of Peasants could be seen, their paths easily recognized from above. Every group of Peasants was visible as they stood out from the green area they were passing through. Eon could easily predict where they were going and what monsters they were about to face.

Eon gained control of almost every life on Red Island the moment he gained the aerial advantage.

The only thing he had to do was learn how to use that advantage effectively.

And he would...
