He finally found a group worthy of his strategy after flying for a few hours and analyzing the movements of every army of Peasants he came across. Eon circled a massive group of 200 Peasants, 199 of whom were level 1, marching in such synchrony and speed toward a specific direction. The leader of the group, which was directly in front of the formation, was moving its antennae as its mandibles closed and opened repeatedly.

They were moving in a straight line, aiming for a specific group, as opposed to their usual scattering while hunting. Because they already had certain prey at this point, as soon as the group was formed. The colony was a massive system. If other Peasants were unable to capture a particular group of monsters, it was almost always certain that a more powerful group of Peasants would come after them.

Level 7 peasants were extremely rare to emerge from the anthill. They would only come out if they were monsters that the weaker Peasants couldn't handle on their own. And whenever a higher level emerged from the lair, they were always accompanied by a massive army.

Eon circled their formation until he had a good idea of where they were going, then flew ahead of them. A herd of young monsters that looked like deer greeted him ahead of the path. They were seven of them, crammed together and watching out for each other while feeding on the tall grasses. Elegant 1-meter-tall monsters with brown fur, their wood-like horns had not yet developed and appeared to be poking out pieces of branches from their heads.

They were aware of every movement in their surroundings, and their keen vision had allowed them to spot Eon's arrival as he landed on top of a tree. Eon, on the other hand, displayed no aggression and simply stared at them, waiting for something to happen.

Nature's Eyes [MP Cost: 1]

One of the most difficult monsters to capture. Not only did they have impressive fleeing abilities, but they also had a racial exclusive skill called Nature's Eyes, which allowed them to see every movement of all living things in a limited area around them. They would detect any living thing that entered their small domain, whether it was on the land's surface, underground, in water, or even in the sky. Particularly if the incoming threat consisted of an entire army.

At the first sign of danger, they would flee the predators at full speed.

One level 6, three levels 5, and three levels 4 comprised the group of seven Fawn Camaradeer. It was an entire herd of siblings who had survived in this place so easily due to their detection abilities. If necessary, they could trample their predators with their powerful attacks. However, the more they were able to flee, the more attention they drew in the colony. If they managed to avoid this one, they would not be able to avoid the one that followed.

Eon spread his wings and flew into the sky, where he circled and observed the scenery. What he saw was the formation of the Peasants, scattering around every path the Fawn Camaradeer would take to escape while keeping enough distance to avoid detection. The Fawn Camaradeer were experts at eluding capture, but the Peasants were master hunters. The maximum range of the racial exclusive skill, Nature's Eyes, was 50 meters. And thanks to their racial exclusive skill, Sensory Antennae, the Peasants could still barely see the movement of Fawn Camaradeer from that distance.

When all of the pieces were in place, the assault began, and the Peasants rushed toward their prey. As expected, the Fawn Camaradeer began to flee as soon as they sensed the approaching army. However, as soon as they took their first steps to flee, their Nature's Eyes delivered some bad news... There was nowhere to go.

The massive army was closing in. And, as a result of their survival instinct, the Fawn Camaradeer dispersed as they fled in various directions, hoping to find a way to escape. However, as the massive army approached, they were forced to band together. They huddled close together as they prepared to assault the oncoming attackers. If it came down to quality over quantity, the Fawn Camaradeer herd would win.

However, even the weakest of the weak could be a destructive force when combined.

The seven Fawn Camaradeer were so focused on the approaching enemies that they missed the sneaking opportunist entity looking to take advantage of the terrible situation they were in.

This one would go to any length to gain power as quickly and easily as possible... Whatever the means were.

His strategy could not be considered fair; the only thing that mattered to him was that it was effective.

Eon landed in the middle of their formation before the Fawn Camaradeer noticed. He growled as he stared at the herd he was standing on as their enemies approached. He spread his wings and made sure to touch each and every one of them.

Eon immediately flew away after completing his mission, leaving the seven Fawn Camaradeer in pain from his attack. The Peasant assault then began and jumped to their seven enemies. As he flew around, Eon watched the battle unfold, carefully analyzing the possible outcomes.

It was a full-fledged war, the largest battle Eon had yet seen.

As the Fawn Camaradeer assaulted them with their skill, Low Kick, the Level 1 Peasants began to fly out one after the other. Even the level 7 Peasant was having difficulty getting close to the formation due to the destructive nature of the Fawn Camaradeer's barricade.

The Level 6 Fawn Camaradeer and the Level 7 Peasant collided and both unleashed devastating attacks on each other. The Peasant took a devastating kick to the head, but it fought back with its skill, Savage Bite. The level 7 Peasant successfully grasped the neck of the level 6 young giant deer, inflicting 54.25 damage in a single strike, effectively turning the tide of their brutal battle against the Fawn Camaradeer.

The strongest Fawn Camaradeer fell to the ground while the level 7 Peasant gripped its neck, which was also severely damaged by its opponent.

Before the strongest Peasant could move again, a pair of powerful tusks collided with it and pushed it forward. Eon pushed the strongest Peasant to the very center of the still-living Fawn Camaradeer's formation, effectively drawing all attention to it.

After completing his mission, Eon flew out to avoid the attention of the warring parties and simply circled around. The remaining Fawn Camaradeer targeted the level 7 Peasant and attacked it with Low Kicks, just as he had planned. The level 7 Peasant didn't even have a chance to fight back.

As the two most powerful combatants fell, the brutal battle devolved into a battle of attrition. Despite being overwhelmed by the massive army that was quickly wearing them down, the remaining six Fawn Camaradeer fought with all their might.

However, as some of the level 1 Peasants leveled up, their chances of winning increased dramatically.

At that precise moment, the inevitable outcome of the battle became clear.

The remaining six Fawn Camaradeer growled as the Peasants jumped on them, slowly and painfully withering them down. Five of the six eventually succumbed to death and fell to the ground. The crowd of Peasants devoured three level 4 and two level 5 Fawn Camaradeer.

However, one of the level 5 Fawn Camaradeer was successful in its struggle. It managed to flee by jumping and sprinting away with its last remaining strength. Leaving its siblings' corpses behind. Some peasants tried to stop it, but its kick sent them flying through the air. It vanished into the tall grasses because none of the surviving peasants could keep up with its speed.

It was a magnificent escape... It appeared to be at first glance. No longer could any of the peasants catch it... None of the peasants were able to catch it.

But someone in particular could.

HP: 1.45/50

MP: 5/50

Eon's shadow was cast on the ground a few distances away from the army of Peasants who couldn't keep up with the speed of a level 5 Fawn Camaradeer. He flapped his wings, his gooey eyes fixed on the fleeing deer. He easily caught up to his escaping prey by traveling at 30 kilometers per hour. Eon opened his mandibles to launch his final assault. The Fawn Camaradeer, on the other hand, could only look in despair because it had no way of fighting back.

[Savage Bite has been activated.]

He gripped the head of the Fawn Camaradeer with such deftness that he carried it in the air. The lifeless body of the Fawn Camaradeer flailed in the air as Eon swerved around the trees. The massive deer's weight was making it difficult for him to fly higher, but it wasn't enough to convince him to give up his dinner.

[Savage Bite has dealt 9.75 damage.]

Eon flew away from the scene, leaving the army of hundreds of peasants alone. He recognized that attempting to gain experience by fighting the remaining peasants would be extremely difficult and would instead backfire.

Underestimating the capabilities of the Peasant army could have fatal consequences. For a very good reason, peasants ruled this island.

The battle had ended... Eon's exploitation strategy was successful.
