Chapter 80: Charon’s Boat

"Of Charon's Boat across the River, grant thy key as thy mind wanders to freedom." You replied.

As soon as you finished stating those words, a clink echoed out of nowhere and something smashed into your head. The sudden hit shocked you before pain woke you from your daze.

You clutched your head and rubbed away the pain as you looked up. What hit you just now? There was nothing in the ceiling. You looked around you on the ground and noticed something shiny and metallic.

"...." Temmie tried to call out, but there was no response from you.

Upon closer inspection, you yelped with happiness. It was a key! This must be the key to the door at the South Wall! With this key, you would be one step closer to escaping this god forsaken place!

You squat down and picked up the key. With no time to lose, you rushed towards the exit door and inserted the key. With a sound click, the door was unlocked.

"Don't go!" Temmie cried out.

Suddenly, Temmie chirped in. "Remember, I told you this earlier but the rooms in this Living Manor changes randomly. Who knows...maybe the room on the other side might just be the exit."

"Yea, that is my dream. I wish that would happen." You smiled as you pushed open the door.

Bright light flowed in as you glanced at the next room with astonishment. No...it could not be called a room. What laid before you was freedom - Outside!

"Come back! Don't leave! That's not the way out!" Temmie roared but your mind was gone.

The moon hung low as you slowly walked outside as if everything wasn't real. But it was...in your mind, you knew it was real. The doors to the Living Manor closed behind you as you rushed out in the streets.

Freedom at last!

"Hahaha!" You smiled brightly.

You have died.
