Our fate has been determined. I investigated and found that we reached 1456 views. #2 today received 1394. We clearly beat that story in pure hits. There are other hidden metrics that people can't casually evaluate: favorites, readership gain, comments received, etc...

1 of 2 things happened: We're lacking in these hidden stats, despite all categories skyrocketed that day. Or 2: Euphonia was knocked down to a sad #72. By the system, or what? Now I understand why a friend has no faith anymore in Scribblehub's trending. I argued with her on Scribble's behalf, but now I understand why.

Ecdysis's author hasn't posted in that interim... So, we can't guess at any of its hidden values. It's no good to even try to make sense of why we haven't trended higher.

I give up on Scribblehub.

My sleep was poor last night. I went to sleep earlier than usual and tossed for six whole hours, conscious the whole time. I didn't give up on sleeping, but my sleep would not permit it, and the result was waking up past when I'd see a friend. I have a very sad and weary heart today. While I told him that I would be fine if we did not reach #1, I didn't account for placing #72.

I'm going to need some time to put my head in order and relax. This means a hiatus, and I'm serious this time. It won't just be a matter of a single day. Please wait patiently. Those who waited to binge read, please enjoy what I've posted thus far for now. I was going to post clear to the end of arc 3, a really fun one in my own opinion, but I don't have the strength at the moment.
