Dumbo was very fast.
How could the old man react when he was merely Heavenly Immortal?
He had just spoken three lines when he felt a pain on his neck, and he was lifted up by a huge hand… or a huge paw, to be precise!
The old man clearly saw Dumbo’s face then.
It was a huge black dog that stood at the height of an adult human and was wearing a pair of baggy pants, as well as a pair of pitch-black gimmick (shades). Dark Daemonic Qi swirled around it as it bared its teeth with sinister killing intent, saying, “Old thing, what rubbish are you speaking?”
Everyone in the tavern was left stunned all at once.
“Stop, daemon!”
Many immortals roared.
Humans were the majority race in Jambudvipa.
Although sharing powerful enemies from across worlds meant that people of the Three Realms and daemons were not as hostile toward each other as before, there was still a rift between them following eons of grief.
In fact, daemons rarely visit places beyond Uttarakuru, and would be discreet even if they did.
Therefore, a daemon as pompous as Dumbo who would dare to attack a human on the streets of Jambudvipa was therefore nonexistent!
All at once, over a dozens cultivators moved.
They were either True Immortals and Heavenly Immortals, and all of them invoked their immortal items to attack Dumbo.
Dumbo did not even turn to look.
A layer of thunder radiance appeared in a flash over his body, bouncing off the immortal weapons launched at him.
The cultivators who had sensed the aura that emanated for a moment from Dumbo’s body were left astonished, disbelief appearing over their eyes. “Grand Luo? No… impossible! How could a dog be a Grand Luo?”
“It’s a Grand Luo, it definitely is… I once saw a Grand Luo fight from afar, and the dog is even scarier than that Grand Luo…”
Dumbo finally turned around.
It took off its shades and swept its eyes coolly over the many immortals, leaving them trembling.
Some of the more gutless ones were already kneeling on the ground, screaming stuff like “I’m sorry for being blind, my lord.”
That was when Jiang He led Trumbo, the Nine Wise Rock Monkeys, the Seven Bottle Gourd Brothers, Boa Hancock, Hu Mei, Sora, and Little Willow out of their private cubicle.
Dumbo nonchalantly slammed the old man on the floor and said reverently, “Master, this geezer was ruining your good name! He is so despicable, just let me kill him with a slap!”
“No need.”
Jiang He waved him off and smiled. “It’s the various immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic cultivators who are trying to ruin my reputation. They didn’t get to profit back on earth and therefore bear a grudge against me, so they’ve spread slander here so that some of the ‘justice warriors’ would confront me…”
Dumbo chuckled then and said sinisterly, “Master, back when I had cultivated Zeus’s Overdeity divinity, I learned a divine spell that illuminates the depths of a person’s mind and unravels his memories. Allow me to interrogate him.”
“Do it!”
Dumbo turned, picked up the old man, and gave him a trashing.
Heavenly Immortals could not be killed easily, and Dumbo was holding back as well, hitting just hard enough to make the old man wish he was dead, his immortal light fading and almost shattering the Immortal Dao he had cultivated so hard for.
“Talk! You’d better talk right now!”
Dumbo kept barking as he hit the man.
Jiang He and the others were left gaping…
Didn’t you say that you have a divine spell that illuminates the depths of a person’s mind?

Why aren’t you using it?
The old man was crying out in agony and bawled, “My lord, you could just ask me! How can I answer if you don’t ask?”
“…”
Dumbo paused then and flatly said, “Oh, beating you up went so smoothly I forgot to ask… you don’t have to talk anyway—I know how to find out what I want.”
Veins of lightning bolts abruptly shot out of his body.
The bolts were incredibly sacred and completely different from Dumbo’s thick Daemon Qi.
Once the bolts landed on the old man’s body, the memories in the depths of his mind were reflected. Various images flickered, while Dumbo pointed a claw to intercept one of the images and turn it into something like a video, broadcasted up in the air.
It showed a bunch of people from the immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic cultivators that had left Earth.
They were sitting together and discussing something, though what they were saying could not be heard.
“There’s no audio,” Jiang He said.
“Master, I can lip-read,” Trumbo replied.
Hence, Trumbo played the role of over dozens of characters to translate everything those humans, demons, and daemons were saying.
And they were discussing nothing other than discrediting Jiang He and Wang Hou.
They would also use the fact that immortal arts had been severed from the homeworld so that the justice warriors who held sentiment toward the planet would hate Jiang He… and from what they know about Jiang He, this would certainly cause conflict between them.
And since Jiang He was supposed to be a measly character in Primeval, his death was assured if he dared to step out of line on Primeval.
The footage faded, and the other immortals at the tavern had an idea of what had happened.
“Master, those people from the immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic cultivators are lodging at Tian Li City, which is nearby. It is one of the thirty-six immortal cities founded by the Celestial Court, and Lord Tian Li, who is one of the Thirty-Six Decan Lords, constantly guards the city.”
Dumbo had obtained the address of those people from the immortal sects, demonic sects, and daemonic cultivators by digging into the old man’s memory.
“Good!”
“We’ll head to Tian Li City, then.”
Jiang He and the others hence made haste for Tian Li City.
He had the others get in his Farm, with only Dumbo and Trumbo escorting him and making a beeline for the governor’s residence upon reaching the city.
Sentries were stationed outside the residence, and Dumbo slightly let loose his Overdeity aura.
Since he had cultivated Zeus’s Overdeity divinity and hence became an Overdeity himself, he was a peak Grand Luo even though his combat ability and cultivation were still a little short of Zeus’s level. Likewise, even if he did not have the special Dao that a Grand Luo commanded, his aura was certainly Grand Luo.
The sentries promptly saluted Dumbo, who smugly raised its head at a ninety-degrees angle to the sky as he flatly said, “Go tell your Lord Tian Li that my master wishes to see him. Have him come right away!”
Ooom.
Beside them, Trumbo had released his Overdeity aura as well.
Though the sentries were divine troops brought here by Lord Tian Li from the Celestial Court and had plenty of experience, they were shaking in their boots at the sight and promptly scrambled away, dashing into the governor’s residence where Lord Tian Li was receiving a good friend of his.
“B*stard!”
Lord Tian Li was having a jovial time toasting with his good friend, and was immediately incensed for being interrupted.
The sentry kneeled as he said, “My lord, there’s a handsome youth outside with a cat and dog demanding that you receive him.”
“What?”
Lord Tian Li was glaring and huffing on his beard in rage. “Who is it?”
“How dare he demand that I meet him?!”
The sentry shook his head and answered truthfully, “I do not know, but the cat and dog he brought along are both Grand Luo, and they address the youth as ‘master’.”
