Chapter 26 The Ying Dragon’s Immense Power

By the time Li Yi had collected the money, the sky had already turned dark. He went straight to a hotel nearby the park.

Since this area was in the suburbs, it was the only hotel around.

After eating, Li Yi met some of the other fish gambling participants.

“The Big Boss has arrived! Everyone, please stand!”

Someone shouted, and everyone stood up.

Li Yi was stunned. “I’m the Big Boss? Perhaps you are mistaken?”

That person quickly explained, “You may not be one now, but in the future, you will definitely be one!”

“The koi you chose has evolved into a Ying Dragon! Soon you will be at the top of the

world!”

Everyone nodded in agreement. Dragon-type monster pets were extremely rare. All of them were incredibly powerful..

Anyone who contracted a dragon-type Beast was bound for greatness.

However, Li Yi just waved his hand humbly. “I haven’t even contracted it yet. You guys are counting the eggs before they hatch.”

“No, not at all. What if you find an opportunity to contract it?”

“Forget it. The Ying Dragon has skipped town without a trace.”

He went to the river and took a walk around the bank.

While walking along the river, in the corner of his eyes, Li Yi could make out a vague shadow jumping out of the river. It then fell back in with a plop.

From the looks of it, it was not small.

Li Yi was curious. Who knew this river had such large fish. That thing looked like it was as big as an adult human!

Suddenly, the fish jumped out of the water again and flew into the air.

Li Yi took a closer look and recognized what kind of fish it was. It was a Swordfish!

The long, slender spike on its head was enough to tell!

But aren’t Swordfish saltwater fish?

There was only one way it could have gotten here. It had to be someone’s pet! As a pet, its owner could modify it to make it perfectly adapted to freshwater.

However, when the Swordfish leapt out of the river, it actually froze in midair for a moment.

A sharp spike made of water was condensing at the end of its head!

To his alarm, the spike was aimed right at Li Yi!

Li Yi immediately realized that something was wrong! He quickly hid behind a nearby tree.

The very next moment, the water spike shot straight towards Li Yi.

The water spike was just like a high-pressure water gun. When it hit the tree next to Li Yi, it pierced through it, leaving a giant hole!

Crouching behind the tree, Li Yi became a little nervous. As expected, someone was after him!

Since he didn’t have much combat ability, all he could do was to dodge the attacks.

However, the Swordfish’s water spike attack was even fiercer than a high-pressure water gun. It would be impossible for him to keep dodging it!

That huge tree-almost half a meter in diameter-had almost gotten obliterated by the water spike. If it were to hit Li Yi, he would probably be dead on the spot!

He raised his head and looked over. He found that the Swordfish had already fallen back into the water. It was prepared to jump out of the water to launch another attack.

The Swordfish was extremely fast. With a swoosh, it flew out of the river and into the air.

After stalling for a moment, it gathered another water spike and threw it towards Li Yi.

Boom!!

This water spike went all the way through the tree trunk, causing the entire tree to collapse with a loud bang.

Li Yi fell to his knees to protect himself.

Without wasting a second more, he blew a loud whistle!

He looked towards the surface of the river, waiting for the Ying Dragon to appear.

Swish!!

Suddenly, the surface of the water split open and the Ying Dragon was back. Its enormous body floated into the air, exerting an oppressive aura on everything in the vicinity!

Following that, a water pillar slowly rose up nearby. It twisted itself into a water tornado.

Li Yi could clearly see that a Swordfish had gotten swept up in the tornade. It was the same Swordfish that had attacked him just now!

At that moment, it was stuck inside the water tornado. As the tornado continued to rotate, the Swordfish was eventually ejected.

The Ying Dragon swung its tail, using it like a whip.

PA!!

A loud, crisp sound rang out. The Ying Dragon’s tail whip sent the Swordfish flying. It crashed onto the shore like a rock!

The Swordfish flailed twice, then bled to death!

Seeing this, Li Yi felt his mouth open slightly. He was a little surprised.

He was not expecting the Ying Dragon to be able to kill an ordinary Beast like it was child’s play.

Li Yi slowly approached the Swordfish. He saw a Status hovinger over its head.

“It’s not actually dead. It just has a Playing Dead Status.”

Li Yi would have never guessed that the Swordfish was just playing dead!

The most shocking thing about it was how good it was at playing dead. If it wasn’t for Li Yi’s system, he might have fallen for it!

Li Yi reached out his hand and took the Playing Dead Status.

Then, he looked at the Ying Dragon.

As he stared into the dragon’s eyes, Li Yi felt an invisible pressure assail him.

“This Swordfish is playing dead. Let’s kill it for real!”

Li Yi said. He hoped that the Ying Dragon would listen to him.

The very next moment, the Ying Dragon actually nodded slightly. It flapped its wings and flew towards the Swordfish.

It extended its front claw and vigorously grabbed the Swordfish. It then reduced the Swordfish to a pile of meat paste!

Like that, it was dead.

Seeing as the Beast that had attacked him was no more, Li Yi heaved a sigh of relief. “Alright, you can return to the river now.”

Hearing that, the dragon flew back into the river.

Soon afterwards, the turbulent water calmed down again.

Li Yi was secretly delighted. He did not expect the Ying Dragon to listen to him. Even though there was no contract, both parties were bound by the Recall Status.

It seemed that as long as he could find the last Contract Shard, he would have no problem making a real contract with it!

Li Yi finished his walk. He planned to return to the hotel early and drop off to sleep.

Meanwhile, not far from the river, Liu Cheng stood still with a gloomy expression.

From afar, he had witnessed his Swordfish get ground into meat paste.

That shattered his heart.

Panting heavily, he gnashed his teeth in anger.

“Li Yi! I swear, you are going to pay for that! I swear!!!” He could not help but let out an angry roar!
