New principal and vice principal

A month has passed since I entered the Royal Pioneer Academy.

Thanks to a number of incidents, my base of operations remained an ‘ordinary house’ as usual.

However, since the principal and vice principal, who are always trying to block me, are gone, I can now concentrate on pioneering …….

And I thought I was.

Until the next principal and vice principal arrived.

The new principal immediately gave us a powerful speech at the morning meeting at the beginning of the month, on that stage.

“I’m Kakeru-kun, the first headmaster of the Royal Academy of Settlement!

And over here is the vice principal, D’Lila!”

The new headmaster, “Kakeru-kun”, with his shaved head, fancy golden tuxedo, and full of father-boy feeling.

And “D’Lila”, a middle-aged woman dressed as a bunny girl and wearing a silver jacket.

It wasn’t just them that were strange, there were quite a few oddities in the schoolyard as well.

The stage that serves as the morning assembly platform is located at the edge of the schoolyard, but the area around us, which is the audience seating, is covered with a divided wall so that we cannot see our surroundings.

Kakeru-kun on stage said innocently in a high-pitched voice like a child.

“My occupation is ‘gambler’!”

The students, who had been keeping quiet until then, started to make a lot of noise.

“Seriously, you’re a gambler?”

“It is said to be a cursed profession, that ……?

“‘It is said that a man who is given the occupation of a gambler will not live to be twenty years old, and yet ……!

“And yet you’ve risen to become a headmaster. ……!

“That principal must be pretty amazing ……!

“As you know, gamblers are known as the ‘cursed profession’!

But at the same time, it’s also called ‘the strongest profession’!

Their power is said to surpass even the bravest!

I’m the gambler who is the closest thing to a hero, right?

Kakeru-kun pounds his chest, “Ahem.

“After all, I’m a super gambler …… who’s been called the ’10 billion man’!

I’ll use that power to lead you all!”

A round of applause erupts, “Oh!”

The fact that he was given the unfortunate job of a gambler, but lived to be over 20 years old and became a school principal seemed to win the hearts of the students.

“I’ll introduce you to my right-hand man, but I’ll also introduce you to my left-hand man!

It’s Weiss-san, the student body president!”

Weiss appears from the side of the stage as the new principal is introduced.

Weiss has become a hero in the school for exposing the wrongdoings of the former principal and vice principal.

“Now that I, a wise man, have become the student council president, I will show you an amazing method of cultivation that is different from anything you’ve seen before!

I want you all to believe in me and follow me!”

The students get even more excited, “Wow!

I was standing there alone, out of the way of the group.

Then the new principal proceeds to announce the top of the current class rankings.

1st place, class 1- 11, S rank

2nd place, class 1 – 02, A rank

3rd, Class 1 – 19, Rank B

4th place, class 1 – 06, C rank

4th, Class 1 – 16, Rank C

Class 1-11 it remains at the top as a rank.

And my former class of 1 -20 , which was ranked 5th at the entrance ceremony, has fallen out of range.

Instead, Akemi’s class, 1 – 6, and Kurumi’s class 1 -16, were ranked.

I mumble to myself.

“Except for number one, that’s the class I was in. ……

Then the asset ranking was announced, and the principal said something like this.

“I’m like, Hey, I don’t care about class rank!

Because the one with more money is greater, right?

It’s a gambler’s value, I’ll give you that.

“So, before we announce our assets, I’d like to play a quick game!

The game is “Cheers Game”! The rules are simple!

Now each class will come up on this stage in turn and we’ll toast with these glasses!

After the toast, if we all drink the grape juice inside, we’re clear!

I’ll give you 100 million Yen from my pocket money, hey!”

“What …… eh?”

It was an unbelievable gift that I thought I heard wrong.

I can’t believe we’re getting 100 million Yen just for juicing the whole class: ……!

“But there are a few rules ●●●●!

First of all, once the game starts, no participant can leave in the middle!

Whether you win or lose, play the game to the end! This is a natural part of good manners, isn’t it?”

I was stupid enough to think for a moment that he would say something decent.

“But not everyone can play this game!

The only class that can participate in this game is the class with two or more students!

Keep your fingers crossed for the lone class, hey!”

Well, I knew it would be something like this.

“And the third rule is that the grape juice is laced with a potion of oblivion!

When we make a toast, we will swear to forget everything that’s happened in the past month before we drink it!”

A potion of oblivion is a magic potion that has the effect of erasing certain memories from those who drink it.

“I’m the first headmaster of the Royal Pioneer Academy, so I want all the students to start over with that in mind!

I see, so that’s why you’re getting a big discount.

I’ve got a point about this weird game.

The Potion of Oblivion is forbidden to be drunk without the person’s consent.

It’s only natural, since you can falsify your memory as much as you want.

There is no one who would willingly drink after a very painful experience.

But if you can get 100 million Yen, anyone would be happy to drink it.

The headmaster glanced at me and flicked his tongue out.

“And I know that there’s a bad boy in here who’s using drugs to make people hallucinate!

You’re going to forget all about those bad hallucinations in this game!”

“Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!”

The new principal seems to have completely captured the hearts of the students.

The students look up to their new principal with respect.

From the top of the heads of many of these students, I thought I saw a heart mark ……, but not a single person put it out.

Instead, the effect was like paper money.

But among them, there are also a few female students here and there who are making heart marks.

But if you look closely, it’s the usual suspects like Monaka and Kotone.

The girls seemed more concerned about me than the principal’s speech.

She glances behind her like a child at a class visit, checking to see if her parents are there.

When her eyes met mine, she made a heart mark and gave me a small wave with a sly smile.
