The first thing Aurora saw when opening her eyes, was Lucius once again brooding over his actions.
She wanted to laugh at this serious side of him, but for some reason, memories of what she did came washing over her. In fact, the one who should be embarrassed and reflecting over last night was her.
She was the one who undressed in front of him.
She was also the one who climbed on him while he laid there helplessly.
And the one who urged him not to restrain himself.
"...." She really did a lot of shameless things, didn't she?! And to a Duke!
After thinking about what she did, the two ended up sitting in a very awkward…position.
Aurora held the blanket to cover her breasts as she sat with her legs underneath her.
While the Duke was sitting with his legs and arms crossed staring in an opposite direction.
It wasn't a few minutes later, Aurora stared at Lucius’ back with a slight smile on her face and her eyebrows raised.
The first time he had sex with her, he was also like this. Worrying and agonizing over the fact that he had sex with a girl who still hadn’t had her Coming of Age ceremony and wasn’t acknowledged as an adult.
But, she didn't hate this about him.
She didn't understand, but she felt something about him the drew her attention. He always had this indifferent and cold aurora about him, and yet there were times he showed a painful expression.
Aurora wanted to learn more about him. Even though she knew she didn't have the right to, she wanted to see more of his expressions.
Like last night.
His clear, blue eyes.
His large, cold hands.
And the way his low voice was in her ear.
‘…Aurora.’
Her heart started to quicken as she recalled his touches.
Badum.
Badum.
Badum.
It was all…unfamiliar and yet, somehow familiar.
Just as her body was starting to turn hot once again, he threw a cold bucket over her.
“Should we just…get married?” Lucius said suddenly, glancing back at her.
Aurora looked at Lucius in a daze, her eyes meeting his. ‘Caught by surprise’ was an understatement. His face was the usual cold, and gruff expression. So, she doubted her ears. “Excuse me?”
“Should we get married?” He repeated monotonously.
“……” Aurora was, of course, left stunned.

The first time he proposed, he asked if she wanted to become his temporary fiancé or his distant relative.
The second time he proposed, it was to take full responsibility for taking her first time.
And now the third time, he nonchalantly mentioned it in passing. As though he was asking a general question.
Nobles didn’t care about the responsibility for a maiden’s first time or wouldn’t feel any attachment for having sex with a girl in her prime. They’d move on and simply married the woman who’d bring them more benefits.
Aurora wasn’t looking for flowers and a grand banquet…but was this what he considered courting a lady?
“I’ve never received such a ridiculous marriage purpose.”
Lucius’ eyebrow scrunched together. His expression turned grim, as though he was ready to murder someone. “Then, how?”
Aurora tilted her head to the left. “...I’m not sure either.”
Her engagement to Harrison was decided and prepared by her parents since she was a child. She simply accepted it as it was. Most ladies from noble families and royalty barely had a choice in their marriage partner.
His expression turned colder. What was this woman saying? She thought of his proposal as ridiculous when she didn’t even know what she wanted herself?
“Exactly what do you want from me?”
Aurora’s eyes met Lucius. “Nothing.”
“Nothing?”
“Yes. Nothing.” She nodded her head. “I think it’s okay if we keep our current relationship. I don’t need marriage, and I don’t care for reputation. When you need to use your ability without limit, I’ll happily give you my body to help you restrain the curse if it’s what you need.”
For now, it was all she could offer.
“However, if it’ll cause you trouble to continue having an unknown woman living in your house, then I’m fine with having a temporary engagement through contract.”
“A temporary engagement through contract?”
Aurora nodded her head. “As you mentioned before, if you don’t want others to find out I’m your Familiar, then you need to find a suitable identity for me to have as your fiancée. We will come up with rules and conditions that each of us must follow. If either of us breaks it, the engagement will be voided.”
She paused. “However, I have to ask you. For your sake and for your Dukedom's sake. Will you be okay with an engagement to a woman who could very well be the daughter of your family’s greatest enemy? I can very well be the cause of all your suffering.” Aurora stared him straight in the eye as she asked this.
Didn't he care in the least that she was the Black Witch's daughter? Or did he just not believe her at all?
“Hmm…” Lucius stood up. While he was wearing his trousers, his upper body was bare besides the bandage that was wrapped around his shoulder. He openly stared at Aurora’s lovely bare body that she tried to hide behind the sheets.
“Why don’t you get dressed first? It’s not an appropriate attire when having an important conversation.”
Aurora looked down at herself and just realized that the two of them were barely wearing anything, especially her. She blushed as she grabbed her clothes and covered herself.
Lucius chuckled. He found it cute that she was sometimes embarrassed at the little things, despite being so bold at other times.
Aurora could feel his eyes on her. She tried keeping calm as she dressed, lest her face turn into a bright red tomato.
But, Lucius didn't bother to hide the fact that he was watching her every movement.
As though he was trying to imprint the memory of her body.
