The Princess trembled when hearing her name called so casually. As a member of the royal family, those who not given permission are not allowed to call them by their given name. It is a sort of silent rule in high society.
To think that someone would just blatantly ignore it…
“I see.” Estelle smiled, but you could tell that her eyes weren’t at all. “The Duke of Rizar’s fiancée is indeed like the rumors said.” The Princess shook her head at her Knight.
Aurora smirked. Of course, there's no way the Princess didn't recognize her. "I can say the same, Princess."
Sparks flew between the two as they stood facing each other.
Estelle knew the only reason her father agreed to send her here was to find a suitable husband so that she can be the bridge to tie the Empire to the Kingdom. Despite her status as a Princess, in the end, she was still standing in a foreign territory with only a single escort after losing her other companion.
And as an exchange student from the Neutral Kingdoms, she could not cause embarrassment to fall on her Kingdom and her royal father due to her mistake.
Thus, Princess Estelle could only smile.
Aurora didn’t say anything more and openly observed the young girl in front of her. Seeing her smile and endure the shame she received reminded Aurora of the same thing she once had to go through for the sake of the Imperial Family.
Seeing someone else also do the same…made her feel somewhat irritated.
The silence permeated the air with a strange awkwardness. The tension between the four people standing there reached a point of no return. This first encounter between them was sure to make their future relationship just as sour.
The Princess sighed.
If things continue like this, it would not benefit either of them.
“About the map, if you examine it closely, you will see a rune inscribed on it. If you activate the rune, it will show you what you need. Then, please excuse me.” Estelle folded her hands in front and nodded her head once. She walked around Aurora to the class.
Tristian also followed behind the Princess while glaring at Aurora and Bea.
The Princess placed her hand on the doorknob and intended to push the door open, only to realize that it was already slightly ajar. She found it strange but didn’t think anything more about it and entered the classroom.
Unfortunately, Princess Estelle did not see the grin, filled with hidden intentions, coming from the woman standing behind her.
Bea and Aurora watched as the two entered the class, one more bitter than the other.
“Let me cut him into two!!"
Bea touched the hilt of her sword as her eyes shined with a fiery heat.
Aurora raised her eyebrows in amusement when she noticed Bea was nearly half growling in anger. “You, it’s not only your appearance that is similar to him.”

“Yes?” Bea asked, confused by that statement.
Aurora didn't answer her and instead return her attention to the map. She focused on her sigil to activate the rune on the map, and just as Estelle said, words concealed from sight revealed themselves.
“Interesting. They use this as a way to test the students.”
Bea looked at the map and watched as the name of the classes revealed themselves. “Whoa. Why go so far?”
The corner of Aurora’s lips lifted into a smile. “What will happen if I enter a class I know nothing about?"
“Ummm………” She titled her head as she thought about it. “You will be less prepared for the class?"
“Yes, but that is not all. My guess is that the students are handed a map at least a few hours before classes start on their first day.”
Well, since today is her first day, it should not affect Aurora much.
“Students on the first day will have no idea what to do when entering their class. The other students will surely label this student as incompetent, which will make them feel out of place."
"And this is a problem?"
Aurora slightly smiled. "For someone with your personality, it might not be. Carlisle Academy does not differentiate between social class. But do you know why those among the nobility enter the academy even though most of them grew up receiving private education from a young age?"
Bea shook her head no.
"Reputation and networking. For a noble, besides summoning a familiar, building connections and finding talents is just as important for their future. A student labeled as incompetent is the same as destroying their position in high society."
Of course, there might be a few rare ones who think otherwise, but the academy was just a convenient place for hidden intentions and conspiracies to play out.
“Then, it's safe to assume that the group behind the creation of the rune map is the Student Council."
“Do the teachers not know about this?” Bea asked Aurora.
“No, they know. However, the adults rarely interfere with the rules or decisions made by the students unless it is a life or death situation. It is clear proof how much the academy especially stresses the importance of leadership."
"I see." No, she didn't see at all!
Bea wondered why nobles were all so complicated. She did come from a noble family, but instead of dolls and dresses, she grew up swinging swords and climbing trees.
Aurora laughed at her personal Knight's still bewildered expression. “Now, let’s head inside before the teacher comes.”
