Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Falling… Wait What!

//Forewarning -> There are mentions of mental health issues in the first bit of this chapter nothing explicit and are quite vague, but I thought that I should warn the reader beforehand in case you feel uncomfortable about mentions of mental health issues. And if anyone is worried about it Mental health issues will not be a main theme of this story.

'Feels like I'm falling. Am I dreaming?'
*Opens Eyes*
'What? I really am falling... and the ground is getting closer. AND THE GROUND IS GETTING CLOSER!!!'
"AHHH!!! SHIT!!!!!"

*Boom*...

As the dust settles from my most recent and very intimate encounter with the ground, I become aware that I'm not dead. Sitting up I find myself at the bottom of a large crater the edges of which are still smoking slightly.

Looking down at my body I find that I appear to be completely uninjured.

'Okay so that happened...'
'Actually how the hell am I still alive and still in one piece?'

"Sigh"

Well I feel fine physically so there's that at least.

Shaking my head and deciding to get out of the crater and onto level ground I go to stand up, but just as I'm getting to my feet I am promptly knocked back down onto my ass by the absolute torrent of Knowledge that begins imprinting itself upon my consciousness, while Pain begins to flood my entire being. Frankly the only way to describe it would be as if every fragment of my existence, mind, body, and soul suddenly shattered and broke down into innumerable pieces only to be rapidly reconstructed again and again in a infinitely repeating cycle of creation and destruction.

Before suddenly everything stops the Knowledge, the Pain and I feel a sense of freedom and clarity flow through my entire being, as if I have be unshackled from any restrictions and have transcended all conceivable limits.

As I sit there enjoying the sense of freedom I am currently experiencing I come to the realization that I feel content and happy with no discernible reason or cause. Something that I will honestly say I haven't felt in a long time, and as I sit there truly happy at the realization that I'm free to live unburdened by my past mental health issues.

Smiling to myself, I begin to go over all the knowledge that was forcefully ingrained into my mind. When suddenly a memory / message comes to the forefront of my mind, echoing loudly inside my head.

/((/ Testing Testing, Hello there, if you're wondering who I am you can just call me R.O.B. and I'm leaving you this message to inform you about what has just happened to you. Alright listen close, are you ready? Okay, so as I was just going about my business floating around in the void I picked up on some of your thoughts while you were daydreaming and found them to be quite entertaining so I thought what the heck and I went ahead and transmigrated you to an AU of OOO aka the world of Adventure Time.

With all the powers and abilities you thought up in your daydream. Though just a fair warning you will still need to practice all the knowledge that I gave you to be able to actually use all those different techniques and spells, though admittedly just with the base powers you chose you are pretty OP right of the bat. But anyway have a great time and enjoy your new life. And your welcome no need to thank me.

I just sit there for awhile stunned at what I just heard, then coming to I think to myself
Okay... WTF!? Did I really just get R.O.B.ed, and now I'm in OOO. Ah wait shit, quick I have to remember what I was daydreaming about before all this happened and I fell from the sky.....

Eyes widening as an ecstatic grin begins to spreads across my face as I remember exactly what my last daydream was about.

"Hahaha I am super OP! This is great."

Magia Erebea - no corruption, even faster regeneration, restore unrecoverable limbs, aging stops when your body has grown to its best age after growing up, and adaptability / evolution (this is pretty basic though it can get stronger.)
Void Wards - the basis of all of UQ Holder Magic (no you don't know all the magic it just means your foundation is ridiculously advanced.)
Hyper Instincts - instinctual ability to do almost everything example Tota Konoe's bullshit combat instincts (for those who don't know he can fight expert martial artists while having no martial arts training) plus a bit of ultra instinct from DBZ but not as strong.

Inner Energy Source - pretty much a massive energy core that produces energy rapidly, this is for all forms of energy that you control, it also auto regulates your energy so their is no conflicts between types.
Neptis's Space and Time Powers - this is self explanatory Neptis is a witch with a incredible talent in space and time manipulation.
Weapon / Martial Arts Mastery - the epic skill and ability of the weapon masters and martial artists of the Witch Buster Verse examples include Mordred (Yin-Yang Swords), Lancelot du Lac (Long Sword), Tasha Godspell (Mana Guns), Eunryu (Spears) etc.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic - Perfected Versions
Magi Sorcerer of Creation - not much changed except the Rukh/Mana/World is more actively helpful like giving warnings and whatnot.
Flow Reader - aka Sinbad's ability to read the flow of the world to achieve his goal.
Primordial Fanalis - a progenitor bloodline that gives a perfect body, immense strength (right away gives Class G strength that increases to Class Z as the MC grows up but with a chance to reach Multi-Stellar strength with effort and talent), incredible speed (starts FTL Grows to Massively FTL with age, with chance to reach Massively FTL+ with effort), massive endurance, perfect body control, perfect memory, IMPORTANT Eyes of Truth (piercing Golden eyes), and black-red hair(think Ruby Rose's hair Black with Red ends but spiky like Madara's + SSJ 3 Sayians Hair).

And all the Knowledge is the perfected versions / best versions of all the Techniques, Skills, Magic, and things like blueprints / how to manuals from the Verses, UQ Holder, Witch Buster / Witch Hunter, and Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.

After taking a moment to collect myself and calm down I try to stand up again, which I find out was a big mistake as I forgot to take into account my newfound strength. Shattering the ground, I launch myself straight through the edge of the crater and into the air. As I'm smashing through the surrounding landscape I can't help cursing at the top of my voice.

"OH FUCK!!!"

*Boom* *crack, smash, boom X 30ish* *Crash*

Coming to a stop after plowing through roughly 30 trees, groaning as I right my self from the awkward position I ended up in and stand up. Immediately I am no longer having any noticeable issues with my movement as my various abilities and instincts kick in helping me regulate strength. Hopefully saving myself from future embarrassment. Then trying to figure out where I am. While ignoring the path of destruction that I left in my wake, I start looking around hoping to find some sort of landmark or clue in my surroundings that might give me an hint as to where in OOO I could possibility be.

Seeing as the trees are normal aka green I can safely rule out any of the elemental kingdoms as the trees and landscape in the elemental kingdoms are very noticeable and unique to each of their specific regions. As I continue to observe the surrounding landscape I notice that the trees seem to be thinning out off to my right, deciding that getting out of the woods might help me find out where I ended up I walk in that direction.

After walking for a bit I can begin to see the edge of the woods and a vast grassy plain just past it, speeding up I quickly exit past the tree line. Looking around, I stop, staring at the sight of THE Tree House sitting just a short distance away.

'Wow its really the Tree House, that means I'm really ended up in OOO... But now what? Should I just walk over and knock on the door? I mean Finn and Jake are the good guys so it should be safe to.'

As I am walking I quickly notice that the tree house is much farther away than I initially thought. Deciding to take advantage of the opportunity before me to see how fast I am, I take a step intending to run when suddenly the world stops around me as the ground beneath me cracks in a large radius and I start rushing forward at an absolutely ridiculous speed, my mind accelerating rapidly as it starts processing the world in slow motion as I speed across the open plains and before I can even blink I'm already standing right in front of the tree house.

Walking over I knock on the door.

*Knock Knock*

"Be right there, one sec."

Um, was that Finn? His voice sounded different than what I was expecting. Hearing someone coming toward the door I take a couple steps back. Barely a second passes before the door swings open, though at the sight of who is standing in the doorway I am suddenly dumbfounded.

Looking at me curiously Freaking Fionna asks

"Um hi, who are you?"

As I am still a bit dumbfounded at the fact that it's Fionna standing in front of me and not Finn, I fail to respond intelligibly.

"Uh..."

But seeing the look of confusion on her face I shake myself out of my stupor and quickly respond.

"Hello Fionna, sorry I was a bit stunned there, let me introduce myself my name is...?! 'Wait what is my name? Why can't I remember my name!!!'"

"Ah...Um, Sorry but I can't seem to remember my name."

Looking alarmed at this, Fionna quickly asks for confirmation that she heard me right.

"Y-You can't remember your name?"

"Ah, no sorry I got nothing." I confirm apologetically

Looking a bit flustered she quickly tries to reassure me.
"Oh no no, your fine I was just surprised that's all."

After thinking for a moment Fionna invites me inside.

"Actually why don't you come in for a bit while I call someone to come and see if they can help with your amnesia." Fionna says as she turns around gesturing for me to follow and begins leading me inside the tree house with me following after her.

Looking around and seeing all the gold and treasures that are piled up in the entryway I can't help asking Fionna about it, even though I believe that I already know the answer I still ask as a way to help to distract myself from the shocking revelation that I can't remember my name anymore.

"So Fionna what's up with all the treasure?"
Turning to looking at me questioningly I gesture to the gold that's been piled up all around us, Fionna looks around surprised. Turning to me she answers

"Oh yeah, well one of the reasons that we have so much treasure piled up is that Jake and I go raid dungeons a lot so we end up getting a lot of loot, honestly I'm so used to seeing it I actually forget it's there most of the time."

Hearing this I just stare at her with a look of disbelieve etched clearly on my face. Because even though I was expecting that kind of answer I couldn't help but wonder how you can forget the huge mountains of gold in your entryway, seriously the glare from all the treasure alone lights up the whole room.

Seeing my look Fionna laughs a bit as she continues.

"Haha, yeah I know its hard to believe but its true. Anyway follow me up here and just take a seat on the couch while I go make a call."

Smiling at her I nod in agreement as she turns around to climb up the stairs / ladder? As I make to follow her up I slow down in an attempt to be a gentleman as I noticed that she is wearing a blue miniskirt which would give me a clear view up her skirt if I followed after her right away. This realization does cause a bit of heat to well up inside my body.

'No down boy, you can't start perving on a girl you just met especially when she is trying to help you. Even then girls are really sensitive to that kind of look, probably especially so for someone like Fionna with her Hero Instincts, plot armor / Hero Comet Reincarnation making her even more sensitive to other peoples intentions toward her.'

Climbing up after her, I arrive inside feeling a little giddy at seeing the inside of such an iconic place. Getting my attention Fionna directs me to the couch so I can sit down while she heads up to her room to make the call.
Sitting down I start to decompress and think about what to do next.

'Alright leaving aside the issue of my memory loss what should I do after this? And looking back Fionna said it was Jake and not Cake who went with her in the dungeons, does that mean only Finn was replaced with his Fionna and Cake counterparts. Well so far that seems to be the case at least for now. I definitely need to find out where I am on the time-line so I can go from there, and seeing as Fionna still has her arm I think its safe to say I'm before Season 6 at the very least.'

'Hopefully I'm after Season 2 and near the beginning of Season 3 because by then most of the main characters have been introduced while the Lich is still trapped in the body of a snail. Giving me time to get stronger and learn magic.'

'Fionna should be calling either Doctor Princess or Princess Bubblegum to come take a look at me. I'm just hoping that if its P.B. she doesn't get too suspicious or paranoid about my existence, because I am not going to be anyone's lab rat / prisoner.'

Hearing Fionna coming down the stairs shakes me from my thoughts as I look towards her.

Smiling happily she walks over

"Hi um, you know what I'm just going to call you Red for now. So I called to see if Princess Bubblegum could come over to give you a check up, seeing as you can't remember your own name."

Nodding in agreement with Fionna's plan, I decide to question her about P.B. seeing as no one has seen or heard of me before as I just arrived in OOO and wouldn't know who Princess Bubblegum is.

"Alright sounds good, but can I ask you who Princess Bubblegum is because my memory is spotty right now and I have no idea who that is."

Fionna's eyes widening in surprise at my question, she then promptly facepalms in embarrassment. Looking back at me with a slightly red forehead.

"Right sorry I should have expected that you wouldn't know who Princess Bubblegum is. Okay so P.B. is the ruler of the Candy Kingdom thats west of here and she is super smart so I thought she could maybe help, she is also the one gives me a check up every once in awhile." she says while smiling wryly at me.

Suddenly looking at me seriously Fionna asks

"Hey Red, I was wondering are you also a human because I haven't met another one before?"

"Well yeah I guess I could be considered a human, I only say that I can be only considered human because my race is related to humans but is a lot more powerful than a regular human by a ridiculous amount at that."

Looking very happy Fionna starts telling me a bit more about Princess Bubblegum as she sits down next to me on the couch. We chat for a bit more while waiting for P.B. to arrive, Fionna starts to loosen up and relax around me as we talk. Then yawning cutely Fionna cuddles into my side as she lays her head on my shoulder telling me to wake her up when P.B. arrives, and not giving me anytime to respond she falls asleep.

Looking at her sleeping with her head resting on my shoulder as we sit there, a peaceful expression on her face I smile softly down at her, though inside I was wondering why Fionna doesn't seem to have any misgivings about me.

'Why is she not even a little bit cautious around me? Especially considering that I am an unknown male in her house and we are alone. Maybe she just doesn't have much experience interacting with the opposite gender or nobody told her to be conscious of the possibility of males having less than honorable intentions toward her.'

"Sigh"

'Well whatever might as well take a nap as well, this day so far has been exhausting mentally.'

Laying my head back I close my eyes for a quick nap.

//Temporary P.O.V. Change\\
We see Princess Bubblegum talking on the phone with Fionna for a bit then hang up.
After Princess Bubblegum hung up the phone she went to gather some equipment to bring to the tree house to check on this new mystery man. Letting Peppermint Butler know that she was heading out to Fionna and Jake's place she loads up her equipment and rides there in her self propelled vehicle seeing as she can't take her morrow as she has to transport delicate equipment.

All in all it takes her a little over 2 hours to arrive at the tree house.
Getting out and knocking on the door but receiving no response P.B. just shrugs then proceeds to open the door and walk in, but just as she finishing going up the stairs and into the main house she stops, stunned at the sight of the Hero of OOO sleeping together with a unknown male, her head resting on his shoulder sitting cozily cuddled together on the couch.

Now quite suspicious of this apparently amnesiac man and his intentions she goes to wake them. Though making a mental note to tease Fionna about this later.

//P.O.V. Change\\

"Hey! Hey you two, wake up! I'm here Fionna and guy."

Jerking up startled I open my eyes and see the beautiful Princess Bubblegum standing in front of us looking exasperated. I look over and see Fionna is still passed out on my shoulder so I gently shift my shoulder and call out to her, trying to wake her up.

"Hey Fionna, time to wake up Princess Bubblegum is here."

"Mmm ah, okay I'm up I'm up!"

Fionna finally awake she sits up yawning as she does so she notices that Princess Bubblegum is here.

*Yawn*
"Oh hi Princess thanks for coming."

Giving Fionna a small smile Bubblegum starts asking Fionna what the situation is.

"Well Red here.."

"Red?" P.B. interrupts her.

"Oh yeah seeing as he can't remember his name I decided to just call him Red in the meantime."

Nodding Princess Bubblegum motions for Fionna to continue with her explanation.

"Okay so Red here came knocking on the door and I answered but when he tried to tell me his name he realized that he couldn't remember it at all, so being the hero I am I invited him in then called you because I thought you could look him over and see if you can help."

Nodding in agreement Bubblegum then looks at Fionna sharply while trying to stop herself from smiling teasingly and asks

"And what were you doing sleeping cuddled together on the couch with your head resting on a strangers shoulder?"

"Ah sorry about that we were chatting while waiting for you to get here and I kinda fell asleep." Fionna says looking sheepish.

Now turning to look at me P.B. asks

"And why did you decide to sleep as well?"

"Um well when Fionna fell asleep on my shoulder I figured that I should take a nap as well seeing as I was a bit tired from the stressful realization that I am missing important pieces of my memory."

Hearing my response P.B. relaxes slightly

"Okay then, I brought some of my equipment so I can see if their is anything about you that could be causing your memory loss like injury, trauma, etc. Anyway both of you follow me outside so I can do some tests on Red after I get set up."

As she turns around and heads back down stairs, Fionna and I look at each other before simultaneously jumping up off the couch to follow Princess Bubblegum outside. When we get outside we find P.B. already setting her equipment up a little ways from the tree house, and hearing us come out P.B. looks up from her work and calls us over.

"Hey Fionna, Red come over here I'm just about done setting up."

Walking over to P.B. she looks toward me and gestures to a chair she set up telling me to take a seat. Right after I do so P.B. sticks two sensor nodes onto my forehead. Nonplussed I raise an eyebrow looking at her questioningly.

Seeing my look Princess Bubblegum starts to explain what she's doing.

"Those are sensors for checking to see if there is anything damaged inside your head, and depending on what I get back for your readings I will then decide if there is anymore tests that are needed to be done."

As she finishes her statement there is a beeping sound from the monitor that's connected to the sensor machine. As P.B. begins reading the data she starts to become more and more alarmed. Seeing her expression Fionna asks her what's wrong.

"Um, Princess is there something wrong? Is Red hurt badly or something?"

After glancing quickly over at me P.B. looks back at Fionna to answer her.

"Ah, no Red doesn't have any apparent injuries according to this."

Looking even more confused Fionna asks why does she looks so startled.

"I'm alarmed because the readings for Red are at a level that should frankly be impossible."

"Impossible?"

"Yes Fionna impossible, the level of activity and data being processed by Reds brain is astronomical to say the least, actually it breaks past all imaginable limits."

"Is that a bad thing?"

Looking thoughtful for a moment P.B. answers her.

"Well no its not necessarily a bad thing just very surprising, but it also means that Reds amnesia isn't caused by any head injuries as his brain is very healthy."

At this Fionna breaths out a sigh of relief.
Wow I know that Fionna is a hero and all but I'm still surprised that she would worry that much about a person she just met today. I feel a bit of warmth in my chest at the fact that at least there is one person in this new world who cares about my wellbeing.

Turning back to Princess Bubblegum I ask her if there is anything else.

"Well no, seeing as there is not any signs of brain trauma I don't have a clue what could have caused your memory loss."

Nodding I thank her for trying to help and get up wondering out loud what to do now seeing as I don't remember who I am and have no place to stay. Hearing me Fionna perks up and excitedly makes a surprising suggestion.

"Well seeing as you don't have anywhere to go why don't you stay here at the tree house with Jake and I?"

Looking mildly alarmed at Fionna's suggestion P.B. quickly interjects a bit concerned about Fionna's lack of caution.

"Are you sure that's a good idea Fionna, letting someone you barely know stay in your house?"

Hearing P.B.'s question Fionna just shakes her head as she brushes P.B.'s worries aside.

"It's fine Princess, Red needs a place to stay and what kind of hero would I be if I didn't help him out."

Turning to me Fionna grabs my hand and starts pulling me back inside. I look over at P.B. and just give her a resigned look of exasperation as I am led back inside. Seeing this P.B. just sighs and nods before turning around to pack up.
