Erik also nodded to show that he understood what alastair said. "but where does humans fall in this law then?" he asked curiously. alastair chuckled "out of all the races humans are a bit more unique in that inherently we are not very strong nor do we live very long however what we have that most the other races sorely lack is potential. humans unlike most races can rapidly grow more powerful and in the process we can also live longer and as a result we too are still limited by the law but only once we reach higher levels of power after all nature is fair." he explained honestly.

Erik looked deep in thought for a moment before nodding " that would explain why none of those hero's in any of the stories ever really seem to have children otherwise we would probably have a whole bunch of people with crazy amounts of power running around." he said in understanding. alastair turned to erisa "how about you explain why you are in this place and why you are trying to get me to marry you." he said seriously erik also looked at her in curiosity.

Erisa sighed "when we dragovians reach maturity by tradition we are sent into the human world to seek out a worthy mate since we cannot find one in the village since we are all related. the tradition is also there so we would stay up to date with human affairs so we don't stand out too much when we come out of the village occasionally. as for why i am in this town its because it was very similar to my home and i am reluctant to leave even though i have been here for a few months." she said with a bit of embarrassment at the end.

Both erik and alastair looked enlightened at erisa's explanation since it explained everything about erisa that they had seen until now. she isn't entitled like it seems she literally doesn't know any better. in the end it was decided (mostly by erisa) that erisa would join alastair on his journey and afterwards in order to court him. apparently alastair didn't get to reject her because the system gave him a companion perk after she spoke. the perk was called erisa's chosen and gave him a strange buff that made him fifty percent more resistant to curses and dark magic while she was in the party.

The trio spent an hour in the springs before erik and alastair left since erisa needed to sneak away since she didn't technically pay for the service. the two boys walked out of the steam area and collected their now clean clothes and headed into a couple of empty changing room to get dressed again. once they were dressed the two left the building were erisa was already waiting in a completely different outfit than the one she had on earlier that was comprised of a set of standard beast hide leg wraps and a fur skirt and a metal breastplate covering her upper torso that was obviously made just for her with how form fitting it was.

The trio decided that they would check the shops and craftsmen for any gear they might need and quest but alastair didn't mention that part. it turns out that erisa had actually been staying in the nearby volcano rather than in town so she wasn't actually familiar with the town much to erik and alastairs displeasure. another thing that was noticed was the sheer amount of food erisa ate which equaled almost an entire cow and when asked about it she explained that her people ate enough to satisfy their dragon forms.

After shopping for a few hours the sun started to go down and alastair had completed four quest all of which were really simple fetch or craft quest and netted him half the amount of exp needed to level up as well as a few materials and even a rare crafting book. the trio rented two rooms at the local inn much to erisa's displeasure since she planned on bunking with alastair but both he and erik heavily protested until she gave in.

The night passed uneventfully and the trio each slept until dawn before getting up and having breakfast where alastair felt pain in his wallet as he shelled out a sizable amount of gold coins for erisa to have a whole roast deer to herself. erik laughed at alastairs pained expression when he paid for the food while the inn keeper had a huge grin. walking out of the inn the trio noticed a small girl in red arguing with a huge man near the entrance of the town with bulging but impractical muscles and a bull mask.

The trio walked up to the arguing pair "what seems to be the problem?" alastair asked calmly. "the problem is that i can't seem to find my sister and nobody in this blasted town seems to take me serious when i am asking if they saw her." the girl said angrily while turning to look at the trio but freezes when she sees alastair. "you alright kid you froze there for a moment?" erik asked seriously. "i'm fine you there whats your name?" the little girl asked curiously. "alastair?" he said confused. "hmm it could be worse i suppose." she said to her self.
