“This won’t do, Old Feng. If this goes on, I’ll have no more strength to continue!”
After picking up all of the prizes, Big Pineapple climbed up from under the cliff with the help of Feng Luo, then lay on the soil, panting.
Unlike Feng Luo—who had no need to move throughout the sniping process—as a Light Armor Warrior, albeit a “knockoff,” he always had to move forward to pin the target during action. Plus, he had to do the hard labor of picking up equipment every time. Hence, his physical exertion was far greater than that of Feng Luo, and his character’s status deterioration was faster, too.
“No eating, nor drinking—no more energy!” Big Pineapple said, lying down.
“Who made something for you just now? But you didn’t eat.” Feng Luo, not feeling very tired, on the other hand, was still alert and holding Barrett in his hands.
“Please! Those worms? With the heads removed? Aren’t you afraid of poisoning me?!”
“I’ve scanned them with my terminal,” said Feng Luo. “Although it’s unable to connect to the Federal website here and the communicator ability can’t be used, the built-in creature database still can scan which parts were poisonous…”
“Okay, then!” Big Pineapple waved a hand, uninterested. “Even if the worms can be eaten, what about water? It seems like all the water on this island is problematic.”
“There is a solution for that, too,” Feng Luo said flatly. “The toxins in the water are typically cleared after evaporation. “Only a simple setup is required.”
Big Pineapple’s interest was quickly piqued. “You sure?”
The average people of the Star Federation definitely didn’t have much experience in outdoor survival, so Big Pineapple was rather curious about this point.
“Of course…” said Feng Luo. “But starting a fire here is definitely not a good idea, as it’s highly possible for others to locate this position by following the smoke.”
“F*ck! Then there’s still no solution!” Big Pineapple had regained some strength and sat up from the ground.
“Who says there’s no solution?” Feng Luo said. “I feel it shouldn’t be that troublesome. Have you forgotten that when we were landing on the island, that black-attired army officer said that there’d be supplies airdropped…? This game is a killing game. It’s not about island survival. There’s no need to let everyone fight on empty stomachs, so there’ll be food in the supplies. I’m 100 percent certain. No need to think of other solutions at all. We only need to temporarily bear with the hunger for a while.”
As if to prove what Feng Luo had said, as soon as he had finished speaking, both their collars lit up, after which, on the semitransparent screen projected in the air, the mocking face of the hated army officer in the black uniform—whom everyone was already too familiar with—appeared.
“I’ll tell everyone a piece of good news,” he said. “The number of people in this game has already been cut down to 500 people. Woah—more precisely, 499 people, because as I was saying that, another died!”
“F*ck! So fast!” Big Pineapple said, looking a little surprised.
After all, in just a few short hours after landing on the island, half the people had actually died! But, considering the achievement of him and Feng Luo within those two to three hours, the number was not too shocking.
“500 people eliminated so quickly.” The wrinkled-face of the army officer in black flashed a mocking smile. “We, too, were a bit surprised. The abilities displayed by some of y’all were really pretty unexpected…”
A few images were displayed on the levitating screens in the room he was in. On one of the images was a stern-faced Haruko, dressed in a black samurai attire with a ponytail, emotionlessly lifting her black samurai sword from the body of a Level-45 Elite Rainforest Wolf that had been chopped into two.
On the second image to the side was a Scout dressed head-to-toe in camouflage attire with a mocking smile on his face. The two submachine guns in his hands were continuously firing while he moved, immediately shooting a rebel beast warrior from behind and turning it into a sieve!
The third image was a tall and well-built, serious middle-aged Warrior with a slash scar on his face. He was lifting up his spiked heavy alloy shield. Under the blood-stained shield was an Elite Beast Rock Tortoise that had been smashed into minced meat!
Additionally, there were smaller images similarly displaying some combat scenes. The faces of Feng Luo and Big Pineapple were, “luckily,” among the images, too, although they were in positions that were not very eye-catching!
“But even though the number of people is already cut down to 500, there are still 117 people among y’all who haven’t earned any points up until now. I don’t feel like repeating what I’ve said… because I’m now suddenly looking forward a little to that exciting scene at 12:00 noon of explosions and split body parts everywhere with flesh and organs flying all over!”
The signature smirk surfaced on the face of the army officer in black uniform.

Big Pineapple bid farewell. Looking at the smirking NPC on the image, he said, “This guy will definitely be killed by the ‘players’ at the end. Don’t you think?”
“Hmm?” Feng Luo looked at him curiously.
“Most stories are like that. The greatest villain might not die, but this kind of arrogant-looking guy definitely will not live!”
“Er…”
******
Clearly, the army officer in black uniform at the opposite end had not paid attention to Big Pineapple’s words.
After he laughed derisively, his expression suddenly turned cold.
“Now, I’ll say one thing. Since your numbers have already been cut down to 500 people, the goal of the first part has been met. Well, then, the first round of supplies will be airdropped 10 minutes from now. The airdropped supplies will include bullets, medicine, energy crystals, food and water, and…”
“Old Feng, you’ve really got it!” Big Pineapple could not help but exclaim.
Feng Luo nodded his head. “Listen to him continue…”
“Once the supply box is in the air, it’ll start to transmit signals. The signals will be transmitted in intervals. They’ll only indicate bearings. They won’t indicate the exact position. Once one lands, it’ll randomly transmit signals for 24 hours, but supply boxes that haven’t been opened after 24 hours will self-destruct! But I need to state one point: Only people who open the detailed map and keep it open for longer than 10 seconds can receive the signals of the supply box!”
As he said this, his eyes emanated an aura of deceit.
“F*ck! Need to open the map? For the remaining people to all be exposed and kill one another!” Big Pineapple yelled.
“Of course, if your luck is good, you’ll be near the location where the supplies have landed, and you can directly see the landing spot of the supply box. Then there’ll be no problem, even if you don’t open the map!”
The army officer in the black uniform spoke mockingly, having already seen the sour-turned expressions on everyone’s faces.
“However, I must remind y’all about something. Every supply box can only be opened by spending a certain number of points. So, for those who have no points, y’all don’t even deserve to get food! Also, the airdropped food is only a sufficient amount for 250 people. If you feel that it’s not enough… the solution is simple. Dead people don’t need food whatsoever. Isn’t that right…?”
After saying this, the image closed, and the silhouette of the army officer in the black uniform had already vanished from the air.
“Only enough for 250 people… What a bluff!” Big Pineapple said, raising his head to look at Feng Luo. “Old Feng, didn’t you say they wouldn’t let people battle on empty stomachs?”
“I miscalculated,” said Feng Luo. “I never expected that the system would actually make such a big deal out of the supply box. In this way, the fight for the supplies would be even fiercer and more glorious than previously imagined. Especially with the need to utilize the map!”
Feng Luo more or less understood the purpose of this kind of rule.
Plus, there would soon be the last round of the random exposing of 50 people’s positions and the approaching 12:00 “selection” time.
This last hour of killing one another would probably be even more brutal!
“In this kind of situation, won’t our plan to ambush those players with their positions exposed not work anymore?” Big Pineapple said with hesitation on his face. “After all, the supply box is more important!”
“Who says it can’t be done anymore?” Feng Luo smiled a little. “We do have a huge advantage: Your map can be engaged without exposing your own position! And those who fight for the supply box may not be fewer than those who hunt people down. If there’s a chance to ambush them, it will probably be even more convenient than specifically intercepting the exposed players!”
Due to surviving the first round of the randomly exposing mission, Big Pineapple’s map could not expose his position when it was engaged. And in order to find the supply box in the process of everyone being forced to engage their map for at least 10 seconds and over, this was undoubtedly an extremely useful trump card!
