On the dark second floor of the building, in a room with a fallen male NPC zombie with a bowl-sized hole in its head, there was a quality Fine Sniper rifle stand of a black matte material beside the window. There was also a player with a golden dragon head insignia on his chest who was changing magazines with familiarity.
As a player who had taken a liking to the Sniper way of playing when he had just
entered the game, Silvermoon Bullethead was really in love with this profession.
Compared with other professions, this profession needed more personal skill, and the
feeling of blasting someone’s head after aiming was very satisfying. However, the only flaw was that it was of too low an effectiveness when training.
Even if it were the people of a guild leveling up together as a team, Snipers would often
be seen by others as a burden. Many people were actually unwilling to have Snipers on their team.
“But who is there tonight earning more than us Snipers?” Silver Bullet mumbled with delight in his eyes as he loaded a magazine with a clicking sound.
In this Biohazard Crisis plot, Snipers were much more effective than the other professions. It was not only due to battling in a city environment that allowed Snipers’ PK prowess to be unleashed; it was also because the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group had allocated the same mission to all the Sniper players, which was to make use of the T-Virus bullet to attack vulnerable players at the start of the plot, mass-spreading the T-Virus.
When used in tandem with skills, the high destruction coefficient of sniper bullets was able to effortlessly tear open Gunners’ uniforms or Manipulators’ Energy coats, injecting the T-Virus-carrying bullets into the target’s body. Among all the professions, only the Sniper could do this.
“Hey, Old Lei, how much Camp Merit have you gotten already?” From the team channel of the Communicator at his ear, a voice sounded. It was another Sniper of the team, Old B.
The signal connection between Silvermoon City and the outside world was completely
cut off, but for the players of the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group who had followed
Roaring Dragon Lightwind and had already joined the rebellion camp, it was not too
huge a limitation.
Just by joining the rebellion camp, they would be able to communicate through an
internal channel — this was also the reason why there were fewer people of the Roaring
Dragon Mercenary Group joining the rebellion camp, yet they were unafraid of the players of the Federation camp.
As for the Merit reduction punishment of joining the rebellion camp, it was not considered anything serious to them because Roaring Dragon Lightwind had already anticipated this situation and had made them exchange their Merit long before. Furthermore, after joining the rebellion camp, they were more able to obtain huge
amounts of rebellion camp Merit points through spreading the T-Virus and killing
the Federation camp players. They were also able to exchange many things that were currently unavailable in the Federation camp.
Rare skills, beast gene potions… the most important was of course the Biological Control Chip, which was well-known to players as the Pet Chip. Just the Merit points he had earned from tonight were already sufficient for him to exchange for an Intermediate Pet Chip worth close to 10,000 credits — this was something that could only be obtained by completing a series of Hidden Pet Missions in the Federation camp.
“I’ll get 150 Merit points and be able to exchange for two Intermediate Pet Chips and a bottle of 24 hour-lasting Gene Enhancement Potion!” In the team channel, another voice answered with a sense of self-satisfaction.
The person Old B was calling was Sniper Old Lei — both of them belonged to the Elite team of the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group, originally old players who had entered when the Roaring Dragon Invincible Guild was founded.
Their equipment was much better than his. With better equipment, it was naturally easier to use the virus bullet to destroy players’ defense to successfully spread the T-Virus and earn huge amounts of Camp Merit.
The accumulated points of the two people were at one time more than all of the other players in the team — saying so in the team channel was definitely bragging. After all, Snipers could finally make a name for themselves now in this mission.
“Snipers…”

Hearing two players of the same profession showing-off in the team channel, Silver Bullet raised the scope of his sniper rifle. He did not continue attacking the Veterans Tribe players below who had completely retreated back into the shop. Instead, he started observing the surrounding potential sniping spots to see whether there were any Snipers present.
The habit he had built up ever since he had entered the game was that no matter what kind of situation he was in, he would not be careless and he would especially have his guard up against Snipers.
“But there should certainly be no Snipers on the other side. They would have retaliated long ago!” Silver Bullet was just thinking and then suddenly…
“Ping!”
“Pu!”
Two sharp sounds went to the ears of everyone in the team through the team channel.
“Ah!”
Right after, Old Lei in the team channel screamed, giving the team members a scare.
“Old Lei? What happened?” the Scout player who was of a closer relationship with Old Lei quickly asked.
“F*ck, there’s a Sniper! One shot and half my HP is gone! The worst thing is that it f*cking actually hit close to my eye! My vision is moderately damaged. I’ve taken an injection but it’ll need 20 seconds to recover. Thankfully, I wasn’t so unlucky to be blinded!” Old Lei spoke with a pained voice.
“Aren’t there no Snipers on the other side?” The other players in the team were all shocked after hearing this.
The main reason they could completely demolish the Veterans Tribe people was that there were no Snipers on the other side. Thus, everyone had victory in their minds and was just waiting to finish off the few Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players and get their Merit points.
However, the opponent actually had Snipers?
The Gunner players and Manipulator players who initially did not have any cover hurriedly shrunk backward.
“Should be new and just arrived. Give me 20 seconds. Once my vision has recovered, I’ll immediately dig him out and finish him off!” Old Lei said confidently and also furiously, clearly very unsettled with the fact that his eye was almost hit.
“You be careful. Snipers indeed need to take on Snipers!”
“Hey…right, what about Old B? Why is there silence! Old B…” The Scout player was concerned, after which he suddenly thought of the problem; the team channel did not directly report the state of players if located at a spot outside a certain range.
“Dead, he’s definitely dead!” Silver Bullet leaned against the back of the thick bunker as cold sweat formed on his forehead.
…
Some time before, back to before the two sounds had come through the Communicator:
“There’s a Sniper!”
The others could not hear anything, but as a Sniper, Silver Bullet had instantly determined that one of the noises was the sound of a player’s brain being shattered, commonly known as the sound of a headshot!
As they believed there were no Snipers on the other side and Old B’s sniping point was good, his HP must have been completely full. But even with full HP, he was swiftly taken out even though practically all the equipment on Old B as a Mercenary Group Elite team player was Fine-Grade or Excellent-Grade.
“Not good! There’s danger!” As he thought of this, Silver Bullet felt his hairs stand in an instant, and right after, he rapidly carried his sniper rifle and ducked behind the bunker.
“Ping!”
A bullet hit the chest of the zombie on the ground behind him. The high-speed spinning bullethead made another hole in the NPC zombie.
Silver Bullet even felt the heat from the bullet tearing through the air as it brushed passed his ear. If his movement had been just a second slower, the bullet would have traced the edge of the bunker and hit him square in the head!
