Feng Luo knew that it was only a matter of time before the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players calling them to go to battle together.
It was not creating suspicion towards their identities but the fact that under such a situation, the person-in-command would not let any player in the base who was able to fight remain.
But they surely could not go out just like that. They had entered with so much effort, if they went out again now, wouldn’t it have been wasting their efforts in acting just now?
They had to delay it, at least delay another minute or so, wait till most of the people had left and even if they were suspected, it would no longer affect anything.
“F*ck, what do you mean by this? First, y’all lock us in here like criminals not allowing us to go out, and now y’all use such a tone to call us out! Do y’all think we’ll follow anything y’all say?” Feng Luo raised his voice, his face and tone expressing unhappiness, as he spoke to the Earth Manipulator with a cold face who had already opened the door.
“Mm, what? So y’all still want to laze around in here?” The Earth Manipulator was clearly a little moody from the disastrous outlook outside. Being disturbed by Feng Luo like that, he immediately replied with a grave face, and walked in.
“We’ll go, of course we’ll go, I don’t want to stay here, but it’s not that we’re going because you said so.” Phoenix turned her eyes, revealing a face of interest, as she accommodated Feng Luo in delaying the time.
“And what’s with calling them ‘people we’ve lured here?’ Don’t push all the responsibility onto us! It’s just four of us, how could we be worth a few hundred Federation camp players attacking us? The people outside must be targeting you all! Ah, I finally understand! No wonder we were previously chased by over 10 players, their target actually wasn’t us, it was just convenient for them to attack here, we’ve been dragged in… Also, everyone is now guarding outside the city and battling with the Federation camp players, how could so many of y’all be here, wouldn’t it be slacking off?” As a woman, Phoenix was more talented than Feng Luo in this aspect, even the Earth Manipulator was stunned for a moment when he normally would continue speaking illogically.
“What a joke, clearly it was y’all fleeing that attracted over 10 Federation people to the commercial area, resulting in the Veterans Tribe people finding out about our base here… No, what am I doing telling y’all about this stuff, hurry up and follow me out, or else I have no responsibility over the consequences!” With his forehead pulsing from rage, the Earth Manipulator repulsively argued with Phoenix.
When he was halfway through speaking, a hurried voice came from his Communicator. Being hurried, the Earth Manipulator regained his senses, and no longer bothered about Phoenix as he turned with a stern face, making the delaying plan fail.
After he turned, his nose was almost flattened as the AI door that had sprung out straight from the wall behind him has quietly been locked.
“What’s going on? Why’s the door shut?” The Earth Manipulator complained furiously; although made unhappy by Phoenix’s words, he did not probe further but impatiently pressed hard as he entered the password for opening the door.
After entering the passcode, he realized that there was no response, and the signal light showed an erroneous red.
The four people behind looked briefly and quietly, knowing that it was definitely done by Digital Cat.
The entire secret base was under AI control. It wasn’t just the surveillance system that was successfully hacked into, this was one of their backup measures discussed before.
“F*ck, what’s this? Having a problem arising now out of all times, it’s unable to open!” The Earth Manipulator tried twice consecutively, but the door was unable to be opened, making him curse and instinctively feeling like something was wrong.
“What, the door can’t be opened? How could it be, you’re doing it purposely! Doors in the game are nothing more than virtual data, how is it possible for it to breakdown out of nothing? You’re definitely not opening the door on purpose, making us unable to go out to get points and do missions. Hurry up and open the door, if not we’ll be smashing it straight with weapons!” Feng Luo’s Gunner-disguised face showed a dissatisfied expression as he mumbled.

These words not only directly made the Earth Manipulator’s vague suspicion vanish but also made the Earth Manipulator’s attention turn back once again to his previous unhappiness.
“Shut up, don’t be noisy!” The Earth Manipulator was enraged, once again entering the code to open the door twice consecutively, but the door was still unable to be opened.
The two parties’ dispute in addition to the time wasted by the Earth Manipulator attempting to open the door was close to a minute.
Other than the five of them in the base as well as the 10 players left guarding the NPC little girl’s building, almost all the other people had now already run out to defend against the Federation camp players who had already invaded to the center of the building.
“F*ck, it’s definitely the Veteran Tribe players who’ve made some dirty move!” With the door still not moving after so much effort, the Earth Manipulator cursed then turned his head and said coldly. “Go out through the window!”
Just as he turned his head back, his pupils contracted. The few people behind him had surrounded him from behind, with a gap of just one step.
“What are y’all up…” In a panic, the Earth Manipulator was about to speak when he was grabbed at the mouth by Onishi’s hand, speaking only four vague words and he was stabbed right in the chest by Ghost Weep in Feng Luo’s hand that struck almost at the same moment.
“Cough!”
“-5066!”
Without a shield engaged, the defense power of the Earth Manipulator’s thin Energy coat could not match up to a Gunner. The Earth Manipulator fought mainly with control and had much added Vitality, but in the hands of Feng Luo who had awakened his Force and had a great attack raise, he was not able to withstand the Talent-enhanced 100% lethal damage at all.
The Earth Manipulator fell to the ground, his face in both shock and rage, as a white light flashed across his body and he was kicked out of the game by the system.
Of course, after being kicked out of the game, he would definitely report this matter immediately.
But there was not much effect, because to the four of them, the remaining action did not require brain power or acting abilities, just fighting abilities.
To any one of them, this was undoubtedly something they were the best at.
“Charge!”
“Quick Sneak!”
After killing the Earth Manipulator, everyone went straight out the door.
Phoenix, Feng Luo, and Onishi engaged speed-up skills, running quickly towards where the target was.
The female Gunner “player” on the other hand looked very relaxed and did not use skills, feeling as if she was strolling in the gardens, but her speed was able to effortlessly catch up rather quickly.
