There, I stood in the middle of nowhere with only the sauntering sound of the breeze accompanying me alongside the dimming dusk above me. If I were to say my situation in a word that would be—Screwed. I mindlessly wander around this forest. Yes, I could just go back from where I came from; however, I didn't come in one path, but dozens of them which made my situation direr.
I'm not sure why I ended up in this predicament. Why did I do this to myself, was it because my mind was occupied by my countless thoughts? Or was it because of my talk with the old man earlier? That's probably it.
"The wind is coming from the east... The sunset was in—Bah! Whom am I kidding?! I don't know a single thing about it! Hello?! Is anyone there?! I'm lost. Can someone hear me?! Help! Haaah... I'll just walk while praying and hope for the best."
I turn back to where I came from and let my feet freely take me to wherever they will lead me. Some say, the path I will take shall be unknown to me, but sure enough it will lead me somewhere or even to the right path. It's better than standing in a spot doing nothing. Not sure if I can apply that to my situation, but I just hope it will. Also, I need to hurry because the little one would throw a tantrum and I don't think Yuki can handle it.
And also, staying here is giving me a recollection of my dark past that I don't want to remember, yet here I am. Sooner or later, if my condition will worsen then no one will be able to save me.
-Sob! Sob! Sob! Sob!
From walking to running, I came across some sounds of a female crying in the woods. So, what would a man like me do? Of course, run. The sky was dimmed and I was alone in the forest. Any sane person would run away as soon as possible when they heard something like that in the middle of nowhere. Cold sweats are falling down on my back and forehead out of fear for my dear life.
"Why am I so unlucky!" I blurted out my honest thoughts out loud.
"Hic Hello?"
The dry, cold air enters through my nose. After inhaling it, I didn't dare to look in the other direction and held on to my breath while running. However, I saw a glimpse of a woman sitting at the side of a lake. She's like a beautiful goddess of the forest. Her raven-black hair cascaded over the one side of her shoulder gracefully and an alluring face with some hint of tears falling was captivating to look at. Adding her soft unblemished olive-skinned. Furthermore, inspecting down to what she was wearing—she had a white gown and I completely knew what this meant for my life.
'Yep, she's a ghost. I need to get the fuck out of here.'
"Wait! Aren't you the kid from Koichiro-ojiisan's pictures?"
'What are you doing, Tatsuya?! Run! Why am I even screaming inside my head? Just run—Gasp—Is this the entrapment curse that a ghost has?!' My mind was screaming yet my body wouldn't respond.
"You know me?"
"Of course, he told me stories about you, but most of your stories came from Yuki. I love hearing about your stories from them. They're lovely and inspirational."
"Uhh... But, who are you?"
"Oh, forgive me. That's disrespectful of me not to introduce myself first. Hi, I'm Angeline Nakano. And, no need to introduce yourself, I know you. Nice to meet you."
She stood from her spot and the dripping water from her gown palpitates on the stones beneath her. Her figure was at full display from how tight her gown was. And, I can only say how magnificent it was. She has a body gracious with how thin her waist is. Also, she looks young, perhaps around in her early 20s or even younger. Seeing that she may be older than me, I can't afford to offend her. It's just an ethical practice for me to respect a stranger that's older than me.
"Likewise, but... Are you a resident here, if I may ask?"
"Frankly, I'm just a guest but I'm staying here indefinitely, so you could put it that way."
"I see. I've got one last question, are you a ghost?"
"Pfft—" Angeline continued giggling while diverting her face to the side.
The heat of embarrassment arises on my face. I can't describe how humiliating it is to be laughed at by someone whom I assumed to be a ghost. Naturally, I asked it out of fear. Yet, in the back of my mind, it’s certain she's not some sort of phenomenal entity. I can't help it.
From out of nowhere, she walks slowly toward me and then clings to my arm. "Wheee~!"
"Excuse me, what are you doing?"
"Let's go, aren't you lost?"

"How did you..."
"I just saw you earlier wandering around like a lost person, so to put it simply, you look like a lost child. Plus, I don't know how to approach you, so I cried to catch your attention but... You got scared, fufufu~"
I huffed. "Forget about it. No, scratch that. Forget every bit of it. Every single one of it."
"Worry not. I shall keep it with the two of us. Even Yu-chan or Ojii-san will never know. Isn't this interesting? At our first encounter, we already had our own very secret with just the two of us."
"Thank you."
"My pleasure. Well, it's getting darker. We need to head out now, come here." Angeline proceeds to drag me away with her small breast poking my elbow. She's quite physically intimate than any stranger I've ever known, except for those women that I've met before. And her approach to me was too casual, for a stranger.
"Hey."
While walking alongside her, she initiated a conversation to liven up the silent atmosphere between us.
"Yeah?"
"Did you two already... You know..." Angeline had her hands upfront, one hand was making an okay sign and her pointy finger, on the other hand, was going through the hole—which I completely understand from just the gesture alone.
I wheezed. "Could you not? Who in their right mind would ask a man that question, especially a stranger? That's going over the line."
"Why not? Blame Yu-chan, she's the one who insisted on learning it."
"You're that person?! And, why are you even complying with her ridiculous requests?! Do you know the word, rejection?"
"How can you reject her bubbly adorable face when she's making a face that looks like this." Angeline puffs her cheeks out and pokes them with her finger while widening her eyes to me, creating a destructible adorableness that I can't utter a word. Imagining Yuki doing a similar thing would also leave me speechless and an irresistible urge to pounce.
"Tch. I admit you'll have a hard time... But still..."
"Just admit it, you can't win against something that adorable."
"Y-Yeah..."
"Anyway, so is there any progress?"
I glanced at her and didn't utter a single sound out of my mouth.
"I'll take it as you haven't. What a spineless coward you are, the fortune is already in front of you yet you didn't do anything. Do you know how much courage she mustered to openly invite you? Phew, looks like—"
Throughout her berates, I didn't glance an eye at her and shut my brain from hearing her out. However, a sensation of a hand was around my crotch. "Well, it's quite big and—Oh! It's getting hard!" she said, nonchalantly upfront. I stood there looking at her with a dumbfounded look. For the words about it getting hard, when she got closer I saw a glimpse of her body—naked body. The top of her gown was open and she was not wearing any undergarments beneath it.
"Hey, what are you doing!" I pushed her shoulders and backed away from her. "This is sexual harassment you know?! I can sue... you..." 'Yeah, that won't work at all.'
"I'm just checking if ya' know... If your thingy on your crotch is alive... But from touching it, I can safely declare that you don't have erectile dysfunction. So why?"
"That's not a matter that you should intrude into! It's personal and you overstepped your bounds in my life! Okay, for the peace of your mind. There were some unfortunate events that occurred during the process of it. So, please don't intervene anymore."
"Is that so... Okay."
