“...”
Iwamoto stared deeply into my eyes.
“What? You kept asking me the same question.”
“I’m speechless... I thought you’re only infuriating online, but that’s just being you... Can I punch you for real??”
Her voice and eyes became serious while looking at me. I shivered. What hell did I do?! Why is she looking agitated? With her amber eyes staring at me thoroughly, I could feel the fiery rage in her eyes. She ain’t joking around. Earlier I got two, and now Iwamoto added to the hype of the ‘getting angry at Tatsuya’ event. There’s no end, huh?
“Whoa, whoa! Why are getting angry?! I did nothing wrong!”
“You—!! Ha—aa... You really don’t have any reaction when you saw me?”
“The picture or when I met you last time?”
“Picture...”
“10/10, you’re hot.”
I gave her a thumbs up. What I said was the truth, she’s in about the same league with Yuki and Naoki in terms of appearance, even her face won’t be falling behind. From what I’ve heard, the fact about her being a model student was actually true though personality-wise; It doesn’t match at all.
Iwamoto’s red face flinched. The side of her mouth was twitching. I became worried. She’s averting her eyes, avoiding me though while slowly turning her head away until I could see the one side of her mouth arcing upwards. I’m confused about whether she’s angry or happy because I could see her mouth smiling from one glance before she turned her head away from me. I smiled because the compliment worked.
“You good?”
“W-W-Wait a minute... Give me a few moments...”
“Okay...”
Iwamoto gathered her composure and sat straight.
“Okay, I’m good now.”
“Uh-huh... By the way, why did you call me here?”
“Oh, about that...”
Iwamoto holds both of her hands, tightly. While glancing at me rapidly, then she gathered some air and let those out in one big exhale. She then firmly looked at me while slowly opening her mouth. Because of her firm look, I started sweating ferociously as nervousness took over me. Floods of thoughts started pouring into my head.
Is she going to ask about the picture?
Because she bought that up. That’s the only thing why she bought that up in our conversation. I prepared myself for what she’s about to say that may affect my future friendship with her.
“Can you call me Shiori?”
“...”
What...?
“What did you say...?”
“C-Call me Shiori...”
What...? I think I’m hearing things...
“You want me to call you Shiori?” pointing my finger to myself.
“Yeah.”
“Wait, you called me just for that?”
“What for that?! Hey, it took me some courage to ask that!”
“Wait, no, no. I meant, you bought me here just to call you in your given name?”
“Oh... Well, I’m asking if you can be my friend too...”
I shut my eyes off and rubbed my glabella while understanding what’s happening to me right now. Let me process what she said... She said something about calling her given name, Shiori, then I asked her if that’s the only reason she asked me to go here, and then she said about wanting to be friends with me. Am I hearing things...?
“Are you sure about that? Aren’t you going to ask about the picture that you sent me...?”
“Hm? You said you deleted them? Wait... Don’t tell me, you didn’t?!”
“I did!! What I’m implying was the way you handled it is way too weird.”
“Huuu~ I thought you still have it.”
“That’s your response to that?”
“On what?”
“How can you be so carefree?” I muttered under my hand, while looking at her in bewilderment.
“What are you saying?”
“Nothing. I’ve got one question for you. What if I used that picture of yours, to blackmail you?”
“But, you won’t?”
“I’m telling the, ‘what ifs’...”
“I don’t know... But you won’t do it right...?”
Her face is not showing a frightened expression as I told her about it. I remember her being like this when she sent me that picture in the first place. Why is she so stupid?
“I won’t. But, please be careful whenever you’re interacting with the opposite gender. You don’t know how much it will endanger you if you do those stuff online. You’re lucky that I’m a man with morals. Even though online and offline are two different things, it can still endanger your well-being.”
“It’s only you... It’s my first time, doing that. I know the danger of what you are saying.”
“You make little sense. If you knew it, why did you still do it?”
“Because it’s you.”
“Huh? Me? Why did you send that when you didn’t even know me personally nor I can be trusted?”, my gaze didn’t leave her, as I was watching her facial expressions.
“Because it’s you...”
“So troublesome... Okay, let me put it this way. If you think that because we’re always chatting, that’s not it. What if I created that facade to fool you?”
“But, you view me as a guy though...”

“...”
Okay, that’s a good one. She got me there.
“Well, that’s not always the case... I give up... Just tell me, why did you trust me...”
Then our gazes locked into each other, “You’re easy to talk with.”
“Huh? That doesn’t explain things.”
“I just said it. I don’t know myself, but you’re the only person I can be comfortable talking with.”
“How about the others?”
I’m talking about the circle of online friends that are compromised of otakus. They’re mostly part of our guild that we have been a part of since last year. Despite having a good relationship online, that doesn’t include the fact that online and offline are two separate things.
“They too.”
“So you’re willing to do that again to them?”
“No! You’re the only person I can call the most trustworthy.”
“How come?”
As our conversation is getting longer, it confuses me more. I’m losing track of my own common sense while talking to her.
“You’re an honest person.”
Rubbing my glabella hard, “Are you serious? How can you even tell that in front of a screen? You have no way of telling that. We’ve only met last year.”
“Last year, but we’re always chatting with each other almost all day long. I’m still chatting with you even when I’m on the verge of getting caught in class, but I still did it. Because you said about you staying at home all day.”
That’s actually true because almost all day we’re chatting with each other. I told her about me staying home all day because of the unfortunate condition I have that won’t allow me to go to school, however; I thought that she’s a NEET... I do not know about her chatting while still in class. What’s with this girl?
“Still doesn’t explain your abnormal trust towards me.”
“There’s nothing to explain. I trusted my guts. And, that guts of mine told me you’re a trustworthy person.”
That’s the most stupid answer I’ve heard. How can you trust someone whom you haven’t met in real life and say he’s a trustworthy person? Who does that? Those people who think like that are so stupid. There’s nothing to explain other than trusting my guts? What if something happened to you unexpectedly because you trusted your guts?
Pfft— Guts...
Guts...
...Guts...
...
...
...Fuck! I’m practically dissing myself! Because I’m the same! I said the exact words to Naoki and Yuki, when they asked me about my trust in them. Oh, the irony... Now, let me forget about that. I can’t tell her it’s wrong to trust your guts because I’m basically the same—Hypocrisy.
“Okay... I give up. I’ll be your friend, but don’t do that again, all right? You’re lucky it’s me. Please, take care of me, Shiori.”, I bowed my head.
With a smile plastered on her face, she replied. “I’m happy. Take care of me as well, Tatsuya.”
After, we talked about a lot of things that we would usually talk about in our chats. Now, we’re talking about it face-to-face which is honestly the best thing I’ve ever felt. Having someone you can talk with about your hobbies is the best. I can’t fathom how happy I am right now. However, I heard some rustling noise near me. I turned around and saw a butt sticking on the side, a long hair visible on it. Upon seeing it, I knew who it was.
“Give me a sec.”
“Eh? Oh, okay.”
I stood up and went there, and what greeted me was two beautiful girls hiding behind the bushes. One with silvery-blond hair and the one was blonde hair, the two were foreign beauties. When our eyes met each other, I smirked. They responded with an awkward smile when our eyes met.
“What are you two, doing here? I’m sure I told something about waiting in the clubroom.”
“” ... “”
The two gave me a silent response. However, Yuki smiled. “We’re just worried about you.”
“So you two followed all the way here?”
Naoki nodded.
“Are you guys in here since the beginning?”
Naoki and Yuki averted their eyes, avoiding making eye contact with me. With how they’re acting, they’re definitely guilty. But how come I didn’t notice them following me? That creeped me out.
“You two... That’s invading of privacy you know?”
“What?! No way! But, why are you scolding us?! You’re the one who lied to us!”
“Tatsu... Liars are no good... The Tatsu I knew is an honest person...”
Yuki pumped her chest to me as if she’s making a point and showing domination by using her chest. For Naoki, she’s using her pleading eyes once again. Guilt-tripping me.
“Don’t change the subject. I lied because it’s a private conversation with two people. That’s invading of privacy.”
“Bu—” Yuki was about to say something, but I interrupted her by saying. “Because we have this unbreakable bond that privacy doesn’t matter? That’s not the point. Let’s say that’s true, but you’re still invading Shiori’s privacy since she’s the one who requested to have this conversation with me.”
Yuki’s amethyst eyes widen while looking at me with her mouth agape, she’s looking at me in bewilderment, that’s the same case with Naoki. Basically, the two were looking at me in bewilderment. The thing about the unbreakable bond—It just came out of my mouth, nonchalantly. The two contemplated for a while before apologizing to me.
“” We’re sorry... “”
“Good. Now, where were we? I explained it to you guys, so she’s Zeno, my online friend I’ve been friends with for about a year. Shiori, come here.” Shiori stood up nervously and started walking towards us.
“The blond hair one is Ikeda Naoki, and the silver one is Hatsumi Yuki, you probably know her since you two are in the same class.”
“Ah, yeah... I knew Hatsumi-san. I’ve been curious ever since Katsumoto-senpai mentioned it earlier. Are you guys just childhood friends?”
“Oh, ye— Mphf” But, before I could even give her a response, Yuki covered my mouth and spoke in my stead. “We’re his girlfriends.” Yuki sneered at Naoki, then Naoki added. “Yep, we are.”
My two eyes widen upon hearing what they said to Shiori. Where’s the promise about trying to lie low?! Even though we’ve become friends, you just don’t tell them about our relationship! Wait... I haven’t even given my answer to them yet. But still! What are these two doing! I’m more confused than what happened earlier. I do not know what are these two are thinking.
“EH?! That’s impossible! Tatsuya said that you’re the stalker yandere girl from last week! There’s no way...” Shiori looked at me with pleading eyes. “... You really have gone out to two of them because of their beauties...?”
Oi, that’s your response?! Question about the abnormal threesome relationship, not the part where I’ve gone out with them because they’re gorgeous! There’s really something wrong with her head. Both Yuki and Shiori, plus Naoki—Trio.
