Jun's explanation was one of the more logical side of things but, it allowed Cleria to immediately realize the reason for his fellow queens' cold stares.
Her suggestion of mercy could be rightfully constituted as a betrayal. She was, in all actuality, pleading for another at great cost to her husband.
Favoring an outsider over your own family who saved your life or more accurately, brought you back from the dead . . . It was no wonder her "sisters" didn't take very kindly to her words at all.
Of course, it was more of a case where Cleria let her generally merciful and kind temperament take over and thus plead for mercy to be given to Riser before fully comprehending what that would mean for their own group.
Intentional or not, it was a grave mistake and though Jun didn't think much of it since he knew it was just a careless mistake in a discussion with only trusted people around.
His other wives took a more hardline approach too it however, finding it quite unforgivable that Cleria even dared to make the suggestion regardless of her intentions.
After all, "The Path to Hell is paved with good intentions." if they let this go simply because Cleria's heart was "in the right place", then what would stop her from making yet another good intentioned mistake in the future?
Still, Jun was not much interested in continuing that particular conversation, Cleria seemed genuinely remorseful, Morgan was always a tad too extreme in such matters and Penthesilea tended to be a hothead who could use calming down.
Taking all of these facts into account, Scathach wisely decided to steer the conversation back to the matter of the intruder that invaded Kuoh and away from Cleria's misstep.
"With the matter of heavy punishment being a done deal. Do you think we can make a profit of of this disaster? I'm not too familiar with the way things are handled in this world but you my husband, seem to be an expert at turning disaster into benefit." The Queen of Dun Scaith interjected.
"Hmm . . ." Jun closed his eyes and feel into thought.
"Despite not belonging to the Great King Faction, Riser, our foolish intruder, is a pure blooded High Class Devil and one of said faction's prerogatives is to preserve those lineages and ensure the absolute supremacy of pure blooded devils in their society." He mentioned.
"In other words . . . If we do something to violate their perceived sanctity of this pure bloodline, they may cause a conflict of their own." Morgan put Cleria's matter aside, seemingly prefering to assist her husband in ruthlessly scheming against their enemies.
"Considering the agreement set between us and the Four Satans, no matter which punishment we select for this Riser, we would in in our right. As such, we only need to select a punishment that the Great King Faction cannot tolerate." Penthesilea added.
"Exactly my thoughts my beloved wives." Jun agreed with their views.
"In other words . . . Experiments with our prisoner's bloodline. There is nothing we could do with our foolish intruder that would offend them more." Scathach declared.
"Indeed." Jun seconded.
"We don't need to actually do it and only need to make sure the heavy hitters of the Great King Faction think we are doing it. Regardless, since we are already going to take the blame for such an act, might as well do it anyway." He added.
"I agree my husband. From what you told me, the bloodline of this Rise Phenex possess some sort of immortality as a special characteristic. While any of us here could nullify it, if we can isolate it and improve upon it, it is most certain a precious resource." Morgan shared her opinion.
"Very well. Since you are so enthusiastic about it, this duty will fall onto you Morgan. Feel free to borrow any of the others if it can benefit you." Jun declared.

"Oh!" An idea suddenly came to his mind.
"Make sure to involve Semiramis in the matter and let her test out some race and bloodline specific poisons, just in case." Jun added.
"Very well my love, it shall be done as you commanded." Morgan replied.
"Well then, with all that taken care of, let us go meet our guest shall we." Jun said.
Once more sensing his location in Kuoh Academy, Jun immediately felt something else.
"Wow! Now he even called for his entire peerage. Lovely." He mentioned, much to the displeasure of everyone in the room.
Not only did he break the rules set by Jun under the full agreement of Riser's supposed rulers, he even dared o bring his peerage along.
Bu winding the clock back some time . . .
It was just another day in Kuoh. Rias and Sona were in the Occult Research Club's building with their respective Peerages which were much smaller than they were at this point in the original series.
Sona only had Tsubaki and the recently joined Kouki, taking up a Queen Piece and two Rook Pieces which Rias only had a Knight, and Bishop and Nine Pawn Pieces taken by Kiba, Gasper and Tobio respectively.
These gathering were actually quite common between the two girls. They let their peerages build up a good relationship while they had their private talks, mostly about their ambitions and current plans.
It was during one such event that a flaming Magic Circle suddenly manifested in the room, resulting in each girl's peerage barging in to see a blond haired man come out of the flames with an arrogant and confident smirk on his face.
"Long time no see my dear Rias~" Riser greeted in a teasing tone filled with mockery.
