"Leaving me to the end like leftovers huh?" Was the first thing out of Semiramis' mouth as Jun approached her.
"With the way you were glaring at me the whole time ,it is hardly a surprise no?" Jun grinned.
Semiramis rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"The man who so boldly claimed he not only wanted my body but my heart as well gets cowed by a simple glare?" She ridiculed.
"Ah Semi . . . You underestimate how imposing and threatening your glaring is." Jun joked.
"Very funny. I doubt I would be able to do anything to you that you didn't wish for." Semiramis rolled her eyes again, clearly not intending to entertain Jun's antics but the edge she had to her in the beginning of the conversation had no doubt been blunted.
"Jokes aside. What is the cause of my beloved poisonous queen's bad mood." Jun inquired. His tone wasn't that much different but Semiramis knew he was actually showing his care this time.
A part of her just wanted to vent her frustration by going off on him but while that would indeed feel good in the moment, she would regret it immediately after and she had no doubts that despite Jun's liking for her, he would turn his back if she crossed a line.
She respected that about him and deeply enjoyed that he cared even if she was not all that was on his mind. It was a weird feeling for her who usually demanded worship and full attention of others, specially men who she was interested in.
"Wouldn't you like to know." Semiramis dodged the question with a "hmph" and head turn.
"You're cute when you're evasive." Jun grinned.
Semiramis maintained her silence.
"I was just wondering why you want me?" She confessed.
"Doubting yourself?" Jun asked with shock.
"Not really, just curious." Semiramis casually responded, she was being quite truthful too. Her self confidence wasn't easily shaken after all.
"Other than the fact you're easy on the eyes which is always a bonus, you're simply someone with potential. The potential to be great, to support me in the future when I need your power in my endeavours." Jun honestly shared.
"I find that hard to believe." Semiramis was skeptical.
"I'm not like most of these girls that are simply happy being by your side. I don't think that's bad and sometimes, I even envy their . . . simplicity . . . but that's just not me. I despise being just a wallflower, I want to stand by you." She continued without embarrassment.
"Someone like Morgan or Scathach, they are women that can actually help you but I doubt the rest of us can truly be of any use to your outside of "womanly duties"." Semiramis concluded.
Jun smiled in understanding.
"That's why I said potential. Maybe you are not powerful enough to truly help me right now as the difference between our abilities is quite significant but you have enough potential for me to elevate you to such a level." He explained.
"Couldn't you do that with just about anyone with a good enough base though?" Semiramis questioned.
"With enough resources? Sure. But that's where personal preference comes in." Jun shrugged.
"I like you. Maybe I will even come to love you and I don't think you'll betray me even if you could, that's more than enough reason to make an investment in your future." He continued.
"Have no doubt. There will be a day when your power will be needed. Until then, just enjoy your free time and luxury." Jun concluded.
"Hmph! Then be sure to visit me once in a while and keep me company or I'll just grow bored." Semiramis responded before leaving to mingle with the rest.
Despite her curt last sentence, the fact she was asking for his company honestly meant that she was quite satisfied with his response so Jun was happy and let her go in peace.
"Feeling the burden of a harem made up of such "unique" women?" Jun heard a teasing voice.
He turned around to see Scathach who had arrived.
"Oh I quite enjoy the so called burden." Jun shrugged.
"So what were you doing?" He asked.
"Testing the Skeleton Lord you told me about in the Tower of Akasha." Scathach casually responded.
Jun sighed.
"You may seem cool and level headed but you're quite battle hungry after all." He said.
"Don't like it?" Scathach asked with a smile.
"I like everything about you. Doesn't mean I won't worry though." Jun responded.
"Good answer. So what is the meeting about?" Scathach asked.

"I'm going to introduce you all to the folks from DxD." Jun revealed.
"Oh. I never quite got where that name came from though." Scathach questioned.
"DxD feels like a weird name for a Multiverse after all." She added.
"Hey! That's what the Akashic Records say." Jun defended.
He was not lying either. He didn't just call the Nasuverse and DxD Verse as such due to his knowledge of the various media about them, that was actually how they were recorded in the Root as well.
"If you say so. Is that all though?" Scathach inquired.
"Nope, I've also got some things to reveal to everyone and some announcements to make in regards towards our future." Jun replied.
"Did something you shouldn't have in an attempt to either grow more powerful or test out that power and now you have to deal with the consequences but the way you chose will affect everyone so you felt you should make an announcement?" Scathach questioned.
"Ah! You know me too well my dear master wife." Jun said, utterly unrepentant.
Scathach could only shake her head in response.
"From your attitude, I assume you were able to twist things in the favor of everyone here then?" She continued to ask.
"Right once again but you hear the specifics later since I plan to be quite transparent this time." Jun replied.
"I'll take your word for it." Scathach said before throwing her arms around his neck and deep kissing him, making the eyes of everyone who always spared some attention for Jun when he was in the room widen slightly as everyone had their own thoughts about the show of affection.
They all had dinner together in a very harmonious atmosphere with the Homunculi Jun had "rescued" from the Einzbern Castle cooking and serving the food. Apparently, Semiramis had quite enjoyed herself training her Homunculi Maids to perform all sorts of tasks.
All the Homunculi had also underwent significant emotional development. All of them were incredibly intelligent to begin with and with their birth defects gone along with a limitless lifespan to learn, they could become quite impressive.
In fact, Jun had his own plans to strengthen them but those would be left for another time.
For now, all the Maids were delighted to serve Jun and by extension, the others as well. In fact, the way Semiramis managed to convince all the Homunculi to practice all they did was to assure them the their saviour, Jun, would be immensely pleased with the results.
As such, the Homunculi Maids with burgeoning emotions were all over the moon with Jun's praise over their house servant skills and Semiramis' smugness was obvious for everyone to behold.
Unfortunately, Jun's praise was all the Homunculi Maids required to conclude the Semiramis had been correct thus strengthening her authority over them as they would be much more willing to follow her suggestions.
This of course, was all a part of the Queen of Poison's great plan top train a group of extremely capable servant to cater to her every need.
Truth be told however, she had grown quite attached to the Homunculi, finding their honesty and innocence extremely endearing.
After dinner though, it finally came the time for the big gathering as Nox opened up a portal to his Kuoh Workshop and all of them, Homunculi included, passed through to arrive in the DxD Verse.
Jun's Workshop in Kuoh was palace sized. It could be considered a "Temple" Class workshop in fact and until the team from DxD arrived, the Nasuverse group went about exploring it.
It was pretty outdated and mostly served as Jun's residence in Kuoh and as the core of the various bounded fields that covered the city. Other than that, most of Jun's important stuff was placed in his Domina Coronam where he did most of his work nowadays.
Those that felt like exploring quickly grew bored at the ordinary and not that impressive sights. Sure, for normal magi from the Nasuverse, it was an incredible workshop that they would kill to get their hands on but for the esteemed personages of his group, it was nothing too impressive.
After all, they got to see far more impressive stuff already, most of them also provided by Jun himself and the Tower of Akasha provided everything they could possibly need in facilities while Jun's Aurea Poculum took care of the resources and power required to make use of them.
But while the place was nothing special, they were all looking forward to meeting their compatriots from another Verse.
From the excitable young ones to the more jaded veterans who were interested in meeting their juniors or subjects.
And soon enough, they arrived . . .
