Fuyuki, Japan,
Riverside Park,
Today was a day unlike most for the denizens of Fuyuki, grey clouds had rolled in overnight and light showers of rain occurred all over the city. The roads were wet, as were the tall and modern buildings of this advanced city. Still, it didn't serve to hinder the populace much and all of them went about their days, with the addition of carrying umbrellas to avoid getting wet.
The Riverside Park was mostly empty at the moment, overlooked by the massive Fuyuki Bridge, a majestic architectural marvel and one of the most well known locations in Fuyuki. The Mion River flowed beside the park, dividing the modern city in two.
Any who would actually pass the place at the moment however, would see a young man sitting on one of the benches, rhythmically tapping his fingers on the bench as he hummed a strange tune. Of course this in itself wouldn't be enough to draw attention, the fact that he wore an eyepatch and had a cane resting against his leg however WAS indeed something that would attract attention.
If not that then the woman resting her head against his shoulder was surely enough.
"I feel you've been getting too cheeky lately." Roman spoke in a calm tone, not much bothered, it would be kind of stupid for him to get mad over something like this.
"Isn't it fine, Master?" Tamamo sighed, preparing herself for another round of degrading, she'd realised that with the end of the war, 'this' would end too so the Caster was trying to make the most of it, "I know you lack interest in the opposite gender..."
"Huh?" Roman tilted his head, "What gave you that idea?" The Trambelio found himself surprised at the servant's words.
"I mean... you seem to ignore any advances and don't really react to much."
"....?" Roman had confusion written across his face but then he chuckled, turning his head to the side, "On the contrary, you just seem to ignore my reactions."
"Wha?"
The Caster sat up confused, "What do you mean by that?"
"Think about it a little bit." Roman looked at the sky, smiling in amusement, he needed to dial down how much he messed with people.
"..." Tamamo no Mae truly did realise her mistake after a bit of thought, looking back on it, the reactions were plenty, "I thought Master was inexperienced...." The Caster was slightly disappointed, that would have been nice.
"Actually, a number of my clas-*ehem*, nevermind. Point is, you're a moron." The one eyed magus snickered, running his gaze over the surroundings once more. Assassin had made no further attempts at attacking afterwards and Sakura..... Well the girl had started talking in her sleep so much of his night was spent there.... It was alright to be a little preferential for now right?
Now, it is to be noted that he wasn't just sitting around casually here. Roman was actually wa-
"Are those ears real?" An extremely curious and excited voice, one belonging to an older woman.
"Ah..... May I ask how long you've been there?" Tamamo no Mae looked at the two people behind her and her Master with a hand over her own mouth, her ears standing up in alarm.
"Isn't it fine, Master?" The older woman spoke in Tamamo's tone, lightly giggling right after as the servant flushed, embarrassed.
"Uwah... Master! Permission to immediately hypnotise her!" Tamamo tugged on Roman's shirt with pleading eyes, her wagging tail however betrayed her words.
"Irisviel." Finally, the fourth person spoke too, protectively holding a hand out in front of Irisviel, it wasn't hard to notice the nature of the fox eared girl pulling on the magus' shoulder.
"Ah, no need for that, Saber." Irisviel waved off Saber's worries with a small laugh, this was turning out to be a nice little interaction..... Even though it was going to leave a sour taste in her mouth.
"So Roman, how has Fuyuki been?" The homunculus sat down on the bench, next to Roman. Caster and Saber only stood behind their Masters, attentive to the surroundings so that they may react instantly in case of a threat, both from one another or someone else.
"It's been meh really, ran into a bug infested mansion so that was disgusting. Also found a child killer and potential rapist. For a city in Japan, this place is bloody outlandish." Roman smiled, folding his legs, his gaze however was fixed on Irisviel's hand.
"So.... It was you who defeated Berserker?" Irisiviel inquired in a strange tone, it really did come as a shock when one of the 7 servants died on the second day, even if she did understand that this war was to last no longer than two weeks at most.
"Ja, that screeching shit messed up Caster good." He nodded in affirmation, he'd used a command seal to heal her up right after so it was alright, "That aside, I heard you got married. Congratulations. Is he an alright guy? I might need to pull some strings otherwise." Roman glanced at her from the corner of his eye, it was a damn shame considering she was one beautiful and good woman but oh well, it wasn't like he'd been in a position to do something about it.
Irisviel's figure slightly trembled, "Y-Yes, he's a nice man. He showed me a lot of new things."

"He's the only person you've talked with other than me and the people at that castle of yours." Roman sighed with a closed eye, but not at her answer, instead at the tremble in her figure.
"Oi Kiritsugu!" He stood up, holding out one hand, the other on his cane, "I know you're here. You shouldn't have sent her to talk if that was what you wanted to do." The reason he shouted was because he didn't know just how far the Magus Killer had nestled up with that sniper of his. That man did utilise the optimal method to complete his objectives, and in a Grail War, killing the Master instead of engaging the servant was the most efficient way.
"Now I know your finger's just fucking ITCHING to shoot but I didn't come here empty handed. The moment I die, this place looks like it got fucking firebombed!" The one eyed magus grinned, this was something he'd predicted.
He also knew Irisiviel would give it away because the two of them were, in the end, friends and her kind nature wouldn't allow her to behave coldly regarding something like this.
"Vielleicht bluffe ich nur. Can you be sure though?" It was something well within his capabilities after all, if not him then the Caster class servant by his side.
".....I'm sorry, Roman." Irisviel lowered her head, ashamed of what she'd done, more now that he caught on.
Yes, she was to talk with him while Kiritsugu listened in or that's what she'd been told at least. Kiritsugu had brought along his gun and Irisviel was by no means stupid, she knew he'd shoot Roman the moment he had what he needed.
Saber... seemed to sigh in relief for a moment, before gripping at the air with a small smile on her usually stoic face, at least she wouldn't have to dishonour herself by attacking those who could not attack back.
"You traitor." Roman spoke dramatically, which only served to make Irisviel feel worse but then the one eyed magus chuckled, "It's alright, not like you actually managed to do something."
"But still..." She looked up at him in dismay, unbothered by how he'd ridiculed her just then, he was one of the few people she could call friends. Irisviel von Einzbern had grown up in seclusion, she treasured such bonds far more than the average man.
"If you insist, we'll forget this happened if you can actually get Kiritsugu to talk to me. I mean no harm." Roman shrugged, he'd be an idiot to keep insisting he didn't mind, not when he could actually gain something from this.
Now one may wonder why Tamamo no Mae wasn't screaming bloody murder yet, it was because she'd been told about this beforehand. She only inwardly praised her Master's abilities, her tail moving from side to side as she skipped to his side.
"Hmm.... I suppose you want praise."
"You grovelling at my feet would do." Roman answered the provocation with a calm smile, placing both his hands on his cane and eying the approaching figure. This man had a lot of fanboys if he remembered correctly....
"How's saving the world going? You gonna RPG your kid next?"
Of course Roman, Roman didn't have such a high opinion of the man. Admittedly however, the Magus Killer was a lot like an actual magus despite his moniker.
"...." Kiritsugu only stared at the magus in silence, his face expressionless, not bothered in the slightest by the words.... at least outwardly, "What is it you wanted?"
"An alliance."
"..." Kiritsugu looked to Irisiviel, it was time to leave.
"Don't write me off like that. Rider and Caster are on the same side, Lancer will be too. The masters of Assassin and Archer are colluding." Roman spoke with a closed eye, there was much to be gained here. The Grail itself needed to be purified before use too, it wouldn't do for most servants to be gone before shit went truly wrong.
Kiritsugu Emiya raised his brow, interested in the new information.
"I'm not even interested in the wish."
