Chapter 40: Chapter 40 : Awe

Enjar grinned widely when he heard his question. He looked outside the window that got attached to the wall, and seemed to be in deep reminiscence. His eyes were showing a longing expression that was hardly easily noticed if one could see his face.

“I got it… from the east. Yes, they should be in the east, right… I got it from my secret channel. And as you can see, the quality is top notch. What do you think is the best way to sell this cloth?” Enjar asked the man after he turned his face toward the man, his smile was not that wide again, it had become a calm smile.

The man that Enjar talked to was like the manager of this place. His name was Tidus, He had the look of a man in his 30s, with shoulder length hair. He was around 170 cm, with a slim and fit physique that could be told from a single glance. He was one of the first people that Enjar recruited to be his employee, and he now was promoted to be some kind of a manager. 

He was surprised when Enjar asked him the question. He was even more curious with how Enjar looked when he looked away to the outside from the window, looking toward the blue sky that was painted with some white clouds. The sereny seemed to fit with his countenance that he was a bit absent minded when he saw Enjar behaving like that.

But it was just for a moment that he did not even mind it too much. “Hmm…I think that looking from the quality itself, this thing that you had brought is best to be put into auction. I don’t think there could be that many who could have this kind of quality of clothing, so it would be best to put it into auction so that we can maximize the benefits.”Tidus explained after he thought about it for a while. 

He really thought that the thing that Enjar brought was one of a kind, a treasure that was not easy to be found. The finishing was clean and neat, it did not seem like it was made by a normal taylor. The nobles would surely try to fetch it at a high price, especially for the nobles who loved to have glamorous things.

“Heh. What if I told you that there was more than just this cloth?” Enjar asked, his smile became a bit off. Tidus who heard this widened his eyes in surprise. He could not believe that Enjar had more of this clothing at this caliber. 

“You had more than one of them? Wait, we need to see first just how many you have this kind of clothings. If there were more than a dozen, then I think it would be better to just sell it at our own shop but still with high prices. And if somehow you could procure this kind of clothings periodically, then that would be our signature sales., a sought after product that would be a hot commodity among the nobles. But as if that would be the case, haha.” Tidus said after he thought about it thoroughly. 

Sure, if Enjar managed to get that kind of product with the same kind of quality, then that would be great. And if Enjar would be able to be the only one who had that commodity, then that would be even crazier. But he did not dare to believe that. He could not think that way because that did not make sense.

First of all, if he managed to get that kind of product, then there was no way for other people to not get it too. If the other people also got their hands on these products and sold it too, then there was no way they could be the only distributor. Thus, the best thing that he could think of was to auction it, because this was most likely the first product that the market might ever see.

Secondly, this product that he just saw was one of a kind, he never saw something like it. It was as if it was made by a talented tailor that no world had ever seen before. The finishing just looked so good and amazing, and this thing that had a unique design and taylorship might be truly something that came from afar, hence the market would not be able to see this as a cheap thing. Unless he got scammed.

“What if I told you that that is the case?” Enjar asked with an amused expression. 

Tidus had a bewildered expression drawn on his face. He wanted to ask to make sure he heard it right, but looking at the face of the man in front of him, he could understand that he did not need to. He gulped some saliva, because the possibility was very out of this world. 

A branded product! A branded product that would be sought after by everyone not only in this city, but also to this kingdom! Nah, the other kingdoms would surely try to take ahold of their products if the quality was truly top notch, and they would be popular, creating a bigger name for themselves and products which would make the sales skyrocket.

If they could be the distributor for such products, then becoming a big corporation would not be a dream. They would not only be rich. but their names would be known far and wide. Becoming a noble was surely a possibility for them 

But here comes the biggest hurdle. Life was not that easy and trouble would surely come to you without even needing you searching for them. If such a hot commodity was suddenly appearing in the market, then being the only provider would be akin to asking for a fight for everyone else.

There was no way that other people, either merchants, unions, nobles, whatever it is, would not be interested in where the source of that product was. They would surely try to take whatever it meant to see where it came from.

Just who were they, the Red Sun Company? It was just a baby company that was not even 1 year old, there were only 12 people that worked here, and did they even dare to put themselves in such a risk? 

And when they knew the sources, then their glory would be temporary. They would even be set aside by the bigger figures, making them not part of the trade and be the history. Even if they tried not to answer the questions that they may ask, there would be coercients whether they wanted it or not. Nah, as if someone wanted to be coerced?

Still, he thought that it was not that bad. They could seize the chance and be the pioneer, thus creating their name so that their company would have a name that could guarantee their other products. Even if someday they would not be able to grab ahold of this kind of product, they would still be able to have a good name, and becoming a bit better company was surely a guarantee. 

These first batches of products would be the stepping stone, to not only make a name for themselves but also to get funds and money, using them to make the company bigger so that they could trade bigger businesses. 

Enjar somehow could guess just what kind of thinking Tidus had inside of his mind. Still, he just smiled, not giving a comment about it. Instead, he showed Tidus the rest of the clothes that he had in the bag, which consisted of 10 products of the same kind of clothes, albeit different. They had different patterns and  designs, but the quality was surely top notch.

And as expected, Tidus who saw these things came out of the blue without any caution became dumbfounded, could not put himself to believe what he was witnessing right now. Enjar gave the rest to Tidus so that he could truly believe what he was seeing right now. 

“I have 10 of these products in my hand right now, and yes I can get them every now and then, about every few days or so. I cannot say the timing correctly because as you can see, these products are truly one of a kind, getting these kinds of things is not that easy.” Enjar blinked one of his eyes. 

Tidus was so amazed when what he thought was almost too good to be true. His mouth was opened wide, showing how shocked he was. What kind of saying could he say in this kind of situation? Even a dumb kid would know the best answer in this situation right?

“As expected of the genius!”
