Chapter 5: Chapter 5 : Promise

"Hey, why are you two crying?" A man's voice sounded out unexpectedly while at the same time he raised his hands and patted the women's head, stroking their hairs while he was at it.

The two women who were beside him raised their heads reflexly. They were dumbfounded. Pretty funny faces could be seen from their facial features because of how sober they were doing. Even when they were raising their heads to look at the source of the voice, the tears and sniffles were still flowing down their faces through the cheek, mouth, and chin.

They could not believe what they were witnessing right now. They rubbed their faces using the long sleeves on their arms, and rubbed their eyes so that they could see more clearly. Their eyes looked better and the man with a sweet smile attached on his mouth in front of them could still be clearly seen seemingly alive yet again. They still could not believe this.

They took a glance at the man's main body. Now they saw that his chest and stomach were moving up and down, like a normal human being who naturally breathed. They moved their hands to the man's head.  When they were just a few centimeters away from the man's face, they could feel the breezy air exiting through his nostrils.

Their bodies suddenly began trembling. Complex emotions were piling up at their chest at this moment. The man that they thought had gone forever from this world, had come back again? No, did he even leave this world in the first place?

Confusion, happiness, gratitude, and a slight of… anger, got mixed in their hearts. It was because they knew that this man sometimes played a little prank on them, or was just being playful or spoiled. But if this was a prank, wasn't it too much?

They took a look at the man's eyes, and when they saw a pair of black eyes that looked a little bit red, their slight agony vanished into thin air. They could see that the man's eyes were tearing up a bit. But for whatever reason, he refused to let it go and bear it to remain in his eyes. The women knew that whatever happened just now was most likely not a prank.

"Uhhh….Huuuhuuuu… Big… Brother Enjar…., why did you do that? What happened just now?" The woman with the stature of a bit more than 160 cm said to the man while tearing up again. She had straight, slightly below shoulder long brown hair that were let down freely without being tied up. She had fair peach white skin on her body, with a pretty thin frame over her build.

"Sorry, I was just playing a prank with you two hehe…". The man answered while smiling widely, closing his eyes like he was telling him that he was fine. But a little bit of water could still be seen on the corner of his eyes.

Seeing this the two women's hearts ached. They realized that the man was truly feeling pain even up till now. It looked like he was still fighting against the pain inside his body. A husband was still a human, they wanted the attention and care of the wife too. He still felt the pain, but even if he could handle it, why not did it while being innocent like a spoiled kid? Men need affection too.

He was about to reach out his hands to them when the other woman stopped him.

"Shhhh… Don't move too much, you're still in a sick condition. Just sleep while we are waiting for Physician Phil to come. Are you still feeling cold or any kind of uncomfortable feeling? What can we do for you now?" The woman with a height of about 170 cm said. She had straight with a little bit of wavy waist-long black hair with a fair share of her hair in front of her that got tied. Her jade white skin looked clean and pure, free from any stains and blemishes.

Her eyes were still misty and moist. But after knowing that he was still alive, she felt like she could not be happier anymore. She knew that the man in front of her did not want to see them sad, so she tried to hold her tears from flowing again in the hope that the man could feel and be better at least psychologically.

"Okay… Sorry for making you two worried. I was just feeling a little bit of pain just now, and somehow I got a bit better because of it. I was just feeling a little cold on my body and need some warmth *cough* probably." The man said shamelessly while opening his arms wide, seemed as if he was seeking for some cuddling.

The two women could only smile while being a little flustered. The two of them fell on his sides and proceeded to give some warmth onto his body by hugging him.

It was true, his body was still cold and felt like it was freezing. This was their first time witnessing something like this. Because they did not know how to handle this, they could only do their best and used some common sense on how to deal with this. Fortunately, he was a very close and intimate person to them so this was not a very big problem for them to begin with.

The rain that was pouring down their house truly was like a surplus to add the nuance of coldness inside the room. Sometimes even some lightning could be seen from the windows, giving a slight but bright light for them. The loud thundering sounds were also adding the atmosphere to make it look gloomier than ever.

But fortunately for the two women, they were not that restless and nervous like before. After confirming to the man that he was okay and even said that he was feeling better, the burdens that had been weighted on their bodies were slowly vanishing. The cheeks that were wet from the cries that they had been letting out for so long finally got dry and only left some temporary little marks on their faces.

The throats could finally breathe some fresh air without needing to withstand the pain of holding back their voices. The feeling of peace, happiness, and harmony were now flying across the room.

The two women could not hold back their tiredness and finally slept on the bed one by one after some moments had passed. The man in the middle of the two women himself was still up and a determined look could be seen from his face. He somehow had a serious face while hugging the two women in his embrace a little bit tighter without the two knowing because they were still sleeping comfortably.

'This, is my promise to you two my dear wives. Even if I will get high in the position later on, I will not abandon you as long as we are still in love with each other with commitment and trust. This is my responsibility, for me to take care of you too even though I'm sure that I will make it big this time around.'

'If I had gotten these memories from the start when I got here, I probably would not marry you two even if I know that you two are amazing women that are good at taking care of me, the household, and possibly the kids too. Especially when you two are very obedient to me as your husband and act very kindly toward me too.'

'It's all because the road in front of me is going to be a little bit tricky. I don't know what will happen, but I got experience in handling the matters that I'm going to do, and it's surely not the path that could be accepted by some people.'

'I'm not going to try to make you two understand me, I'm trying to make you understand what the two of you are going to face in the future. That's why not many people could become a close part of me. And I don't know whether you're going to accept me or not in the future.'

'But until then, until the time when you two have had enough with me, until the time when you want me to let you go, I will be as responsible as I can. I will do my obligation as a husband to make you happy and contend with me.'
