Sounds of arrows being launched in the air were reverberated. The arrows came from the gang that had created some distance from Lumberis and his people. They had distanced themselves, thinking that the villagers would break their ranks and chased them in an out of order manner.

Alas, the villagers did not take their bait. Somehow, they were able to hold onto their urges to chase after them and hold their position. They somehow had the thought to listen to the order instead of doing mindless action. Just like how a trained platoon had been taught in camps.

Clind and his men did not expect that the villagers would take this approach. How could these villagers be this ordered when they never participated in a battle like this? Had they been training in secret?

Nah, the biggest possibility in their minds was that Enjar had taught them some basic strategy when he was staying at their place. But how could that be possible? He was only given 2 days as a chance to teach them!

What kind of teaching that Enjar had taught to them? What kind of method that Enjar had so he was able to create this kind of discipline in 2 days? Even though the order itself was not complex, it was still quite hard to teach some villagers who did not know anything about strategy and such.

They did not know how it was possible for Enjar to do that. It did not take only experiences and knowledge to teach people. It also needed to have charm and charisma. They acted as a light that roped people in, making them respect and listen with utmost attention. Looking at Enjar, they knew that Enjar had a considerable amount of charisma. But how could he achieve that within 2 days?

Nah, after they thought about it for a while, they cannot deny that Enjar’s charisma was off the charts. They only saw him as the enemy, so they could only imagine how it would be to be taught by Enjar. And looking at the situation right now, they could somehow picture it.

“This is bad, Clind.” One of the men from the gang said as he launched another arrow toward the villagers, who had prepared themselves in a defensive position. They mostly hid behind the trees, while also bringing some wide surfaced things made up of wood to protect themselves from the arrows.

“They do not take the bait, and even after we shoot them arrows, they still insist on staying on their ground. As if they understood our intentions.” The man grit his teeth in frustration and once again prepared to launch yet another arrow on his bow.

Clind’s expression was grim. He did not know what was the best thing he should do. If they did not help the experts, he was afraid that the experts would lose their battle against Enjar. From the past exchanges, it could be concluded easily that their support truly helped them in defeating Enjar.

Should he advance and attack them head on? But if that was the case, then there would be many casualties on his side. He did not dare underestimate the villagers, now that he saw with his own eyes just how ordered they were. Make a simple mistake, and that would probably be the end of their life.

“Are you sure you want to make an enemy out of us!?” The best thing for them right now was that the villagers would open up their ways for them so that they could help the experts. How could it be that easy? Still, ‘negotiating’ might be a way for the gang to overcome this hurdle.

“What do you mean, Clind? I think you need to explain it better.” Lumberis said while having sharp glints inside of his eyes. He did not look rigid like an old man that was about to die, there was still a fighting spirit inside of his soul.

Clind knew that he did not have time to waste. The longer the seconds ticked, the bigger the chance for Enjar to defeat the experts. So he thought about what was the best to say in this kind of situation.

“Listen, all of you. Do you even know Enjar’s agenda in your village? Do you even know what kind of background that he has? Do you even know

Me and my men are at least clear with our intention in this village, and we have never mistreated all of”

“Bullcrap, you bastard!” A shout came out from the sound of a youngster, cutting out Clind’s talking in the middle of the way.. It was from Timan who could not help but glare at Clind with deep hatred and animosity.

“Listen to me, you little dumbo! How could I explain it to you if you kept on interrupting me!?” Clind gritted his teeth, while slipping in his talk because this was the first interruption that occured. But this also acted as a firm way to shake their hearts, by talking in this kind of manner.

Timan wanted to retort but a man stopped him by putting his hand on his shoulder. It was from Raph that also shaked his head while he put his hands on Timan’s shoulder. Raph was the representative chosen by Clind and his men to act as the representative of the village before Enjar came. And he was the one who proposed to not engage in this battle.

Timan did not know what he should do at the moment, but this time Clind continued talking. “Do you know the price of what all of you are doing right now? Killing most of you here would be the initial price that would be given to you.” Clind exclaimed in a grim voice.

“Do you really want to make this a no reconciliation matter? Do you want to make it worse than what it is?” His question suddenly made apprehensions bloomed inside of the villagers hearts.

What if Enjar lost the battle? What would happen to them, then? Not only them, but their family would also be implicated! They truly were at a crossroad that would certainly spell doom if they had decided to choose the wrong way.

Clind noticed this, and he continued again. “This is my preposition to you. I will forget all of this transgression against us that happened today. We will forgive your wrong doings and we will not impose any punishments to you if we are done with that man behind those fire walls. I only have 5 seconds for you to decide this, and this would be the last offer that you will have.”

He looked at the villagers and it seemed that the situation was going to his favor. Most of them still had the urge to fight, but some already had hesitation drawn on their faces. Clind could only gamble with this last chance that he supposedly said just now.

Because either way, they were running out of time. They did not know just for how long the fight would hold on, so the quickest way in his mind was through this nerve wrecking moment . But the risk was still there, in which they did not listen to his demands and still insisted on fighting. The dice had been rolled, he could only strive further.

“One.” Clind said loudly while he had a firm expression on his face. His demeanour looked like he was dead set about this matter. Ignoring his words, and you would feel the consequences vibes.

“Two.” A moment passed and there was not an immediate action taken by the villagers. He still had the stern look plastered on face, though it started to waver. They still looked at Clind with clear hostility inside of their eyes.

“Three.” Frustration creeped in Clind’s heart. He could only grit his teeth in anger as he looked at the villages that still did not take action to move away from their location. Though some of them were in panic and looked restless, Clind needed action.

“Four.” Clind somehow knew that there was no other way for him to talk his way. Intimidation seemed like it would not work in this case, so he decided to appease them once again because his plan failed.

“You know that we did not impose you to”

*Suaaassss*

At this moment of time, the flame was put out so suddenly. And because this hurdle was no more, now the onlookers could see the situation that happened inside the wall of flame. And the result was shocking.
