Chapter 483: Voice

Charles again shifted his attention towards the star constellation book and repeated the process.

Although he failed at first, he didn't get discouraged at all.

After a few tries, he noticed that the twelve golden lights moved from the unique marks, intersected with one another, and moved straight towards his forehead.

An invisible force appeared out of nowhere the next second and pulled his consciousness somewhere.

A moment later, Charles saw that the whole surroundings started to distort and soon found himself in a small room.

It was a 10x10ft room with a bed, a table, and a window viewing a green-tiled roofed building and nothing more.

The room was silent, devoid of any life. Even with the windows open, the air was still. At that moment, he also saw a unique double-wings symbol on the walls and frowned.

'Where am I?' Furrowing his brows, he moved closer towards the window and soon paused as he saw a dome-shaped building with four unique towers on the opposite side.

'Light Churches?' A surprise appeared on his face.

He also saw that many similar buildings appeared all over the place and soon froze as he realized where he was now.

'Holy See?'

He paused in surprise and shifted his attention towards the small room.

He knew that he had no extra time to waste in this vision and tried to gather as much information as possible.

He first looked at the cabinet, then the wooden bed, the nearby shelf, and finally, a black-covered book placed on the table.

But as he tried to look at it more clearly, some strange invisible ripple came out of it and spread to the surroundings!

'An artifact? Wait... I feel some familiar power... Hmm? Is it the Future Time?! What is this book?'

At that moment, Charles knew that this power was trying to seal himself in this future vision itself!

'It's dangerous to stay in this vision.'

He hurriedly withdrew his consciousness from the vision and soon opened his eyes in his bedroom.

Then, he released his wisdom power and checked for any anomaly in his body.

Once he noticed that nothing had happened to his body or consciousness, he breathed a sigh of relief and shifted his gaze towards the other notebook. Then, he picked up the wooden quill and started writing what he had witnessed in the vision. Although he had an extraordinary memory, he never trusted the memories of Visions or Dreams completely. For example, both could be manipulated and falsified by the higher powers.

Following that, he continued to do more divinations, visited the same room multiple times, and gathered more information about the book. From the information he collected from the book, he confirmed one thing.

'That book certainly belongs to the Mysterious Seer Victor! His ability to manipulate future time might have been related to this. I can't be too careless from now on.'

He muttered inwardly and stood up from his seat.

Then, he went towards the closed window, opened it from inside, and looked outside.

It was still midday, and the scorching sunlight brightened his room, causing him to squint his right eye for a moment. He peered outside without minding the brightness and soon saw the faraway street road, wooden and brick houses, carriages, and the old architectures.

'What a beautiful city.' He chuckled inwardly and soon shifted his attention towards the Golden Dice from the first vision.

'I have two clues now. One is a cross symbol with a sword in it, while the other is a griffon symbol. Hmm, it's better to look for clues in the Council Book.'

It was a book that contained basic information about famous households. Be it a Royal Household or a small Knight Household; one can find it in this Council Book as long as they had some extraordinary history. Although this book didn't have all the basic information about every Noble Household in this realm, it at least had 80 to 90 percent accuracy. The only ones left out in this book might be the newly risen households.

Nodding inwardly, Charles returned to the table, casually extended his right hand before touching his space ring, and took out a golden-covered book from it.

Then, he opened the book and started flipping the pages while looking for clues. After some time, he suddenly noticed a griffon symbol on a page and then wrote the household name in the nearby notebook.

After that, he looked at the golden-covered book once again and looked for any similar griffon symbols in it. As he had expected, he noticed 13 nobles' households had griffon-type symbols as their household symbols. Although two Households had long disappeared from history, the others still appeared in different kingdoms.

'1. Livingster Household- Duke of the Haiven Dynasty...

2. Rutherdows Household- Royalty of Braiba Kingdom...

3. Goldhead Household- Count of Ammar Dynasty...

4. Fullerstrong Household- Baron of Veragia Kingdom...

...

11. Wilfort Household- Knight of Acanait Kingdom...'

...

As he read more information about each Household, he grasped the basic knowledge of the Household like where it belongs, which era it rose to power, whether they possess a divine artifact or not, and so on. Once he completely memorized the content, he shifted his attention towards the cross symbol-related household names.

'Hmm, among the above households, only Ruthersdow Household's symbol looks similar to the Griffon Symbol, which I saw earlier in my vision. The Barbia Kingdom, huh. As for the Cross Symbol, three households have similar cross symbols. But Buckson Household is the only Household located near the Barbia Kingdom, and it also has a sword appeared in it.' He muttered inwardly.

After that, he thought of the mysterious black-covered book that appeared in his other vision and pondered.

He knew that the book had the power of 'Future Time' and got unsettled a little.

He then subconsciously thought of the mysterious seer Victor and felt troubled.

'I think he might have suspected my identity but didn't have enough evidence to prove it to others. Cardinal Smith also keeping an eye on him; so, I should avoid going after him now.'

After he came to this Faith Realm, Victor was the only person who showed some understanding towards Future Time, which made sense for him to feel unsettled inside.

But any rash action against the Church would lead to unpredictable variables. And Charles also knew the consequence of messing up a plan.

'My problem is not Victor but how to steal this book from him. I suspect that this book can let the user see the future like my Star Constellation book, right? Then, he might be expecting my arrival, and there is a high chance that he might hide that mysterious book before confronting me. What would I do if I were in his shoes? Obviously, I would try my best to hide even the information about it. Nah, I might even erase the memory of its location and its abilities from my memory. So, I have to catch him off guard and steal that book from him.' He nodded in understanding and then took out the silver crown sealed in a rebirth flame cube.

He then placed it on the table, opened his right eye, and looked at it carefully.

Simultaneously, he activated his [Eyes of the Runes] skill and analyzed it.

At that moment, he noticed that a strange wave of energy leaked out of the silver crown from time to time. It was neither 'Dream' energy nor 'Astral' energy. Instead, Charles sensed a peculiar power coming from the strange wave, and it seemed to be related to information or knowledge!

'Knowledge?... Hmm, it looks like a unique type of knowledge power.' He casually took out the 'Eye of Insight' stone and used the insight power to probe the strange wave.

Later, he entered a deep enlightenment state and started analyzing knowledge power.

As he managed to grasp a small part of this new knowledge power, he felt that his right eye had already reached its limit.

Before he could close his eyes in sharp pain, an eerie voice echoed in the depths of his mind.

"H-Help me!"

The voice appeared more like a whisper of a young man, and it seemed to be scared of something.
