Charles and Natalia entered the gloomy building and soon reached the reception room.
The building walls were painted in white color, attached with multiple lamp lights, and illuminated the interior in dim yellow light.
Just as they stepped into the reception room, tens of servants ran from the left side corridor while holding different weapons and soon entered the reception hall.
Most of their hairs and dresses appeared messy, and they seemed to have just woken up.
Charles even saw a few guards among the crowd and got ready to cast spells on them.
But before he could raise his hand, the guards suddenly dropped their weapons and raised their hands in surrender.
Not only them, but even the servants did the same.
At that moment, everyone looked outside through the opened door, saw frozen humans, and got frightened.
Without minding their fearful expressions, Natalia conjured an ice sword from her hand, pointed the tip at the nearby female servant's throat, and asked.
"Where is your master?"
"H-He must be in the basement, M-My Lady." The female servant replied in a trembling voice and soon pointed her finger towards the right-side corridor.
"Bring us to the basement," Natalia ordered.
Although the servants and guards were unwilling, no one dared to refute her words.
When they realized that both intruders were powerful Mystics, all of them shut their mouths tightly and nodded their heads in approval.
After that, the female servant took the lead and brought them towards the right-side corridor.
It was the area where prison cells were located.
Once they walked into the corridor, Charles turned his gaze towards his right side and stared at the first prison cell.
The prison cell was barely six feet by four. The walls were the same thick grey stone as the dwellings of the region, but instead of a wide window with a flower box, there was a mean barred opening with thick metal bars and no glass. The bed was a plank of wood on legs. There was no mattress, no cushioning, and only one thin blanket.
The prison cell was pierced with the painful moans of a tortured inmate.
The prisoner was a small girl who was around 14 years old and appeared very lean. But what made Charles squint his eyes were multiple needle wounds on her wrist area.
Noticing his gaze, one of the servants cleared her throat and gave a short explanation.
"S-She is a dept slave, My Lord. A-After her family failed to pay the money, our Master took her from her family and put her for sale. She can do all kinds of chore works, and h-her worth is only 14 gold coins-"
Before she could finish her words, Charles raised his hand, conjured a greenish-blue flame, and tossed it into the prison cell.
Even Natalia got startled by his strange action and soon widened her eyes.
"Is that a healing spell?" Her eyebrows arched upward.
She had indeed heard of such fire from one of her disciples in Chester City.
At that time, she didn't pay much attention to it and thought that her disciples were mistaken.
Meanwhile, Charles curled his lips upward and spoke with a pleased smile on his face.
"It's called soul fire and I'm actually specialized in this healing spell."
Saying so, he conjured multiple balls of greenish-blue flame and tossed them into the nearby prison cells.
On the other hand, Destiny Lady glanced at the leading female servant and asked.
"How to remove the slave marks on their wrists?"
Although only a few strange characters appeared in the tattoos, Natalia felt some mysterious power hidden in them.
It appeared similar to the power of 'Law,' but yet different at the same time.
Meanwhile, Charles also felt a little familiar energy when looking at those strange characters and became stunned.
"This... It's the power of Chaos." His deep-blue eyes widened.
"Chaos?" Natalia also recalled her battle against Red Prince and soon frowned.
"I didn't feel any similar power in that devil, though." She spoke in confusion.
Upon hearing her words, Charles shook his head, tossed another two balls of greenish-blue flame into the nearby prison cell, and spoke with a mysterious smile on his face.
