Charles reappeared in the underground basement hall, released his wisdom power, and checked the surroundings.
Then, he turned his gaze towards the right side and noticed that a white-haired man was seated on the nearby wooden chair.
Currently, he held a metallic plate in his hand and seemed to be in the middle of inscribing runal characters.
Upon noticing his arrival, he halted his movement, looked at him in surprise, and asked.
"How is the journey? Did you find any answer for the clues?"
Meanwhile, Charles smiled slightly, nodded his head, and explained what he heard from Casper. He also told him about the five race's history, the Guardian Deities, World Eater's invasion, and so on.
"World Eater, huh. It's been a long time since I heard about that thing." Oswald's expression turned gloomy.
"Have you seen that thing, old man?" Charles also noticed a change in his tone and asked.
Upon hearing his words, a bitter smile crept on Oswald's face.
"I wouldn't be speaking to you if I encountered that thing head-on, lad. When Eddie confronted the World Eater in a separate pocket dimension, he sent me away to cast a 'Miracle' spell. At that time, even I don't know much about the World Eater. But I once heard from a few ancient mages that the World Eaters were born from the void and could be capable of destroying anything in its path."
"Wait… it can even swallow a sun, right?" Charles asked all of a sudden.
"How did you know?!" A shock appeared on Oswald's face.
On the other hand, Charles went silent for a moment and spoke.
"In my old world, scientists found a similar thing called 'Black Hole' in space. Its gravity is so strong that nothing- even light can't escape from its path. It can swallow planets, stars, and even galaxies. But I'm not sure whether both of these things are the same or different. Alas, there must be some link between these two things." He paused for a moment and asked another question.
"What do you know about the Divine Spells? How do they work?"
"Divine Spells? Hmm, if you want to know more about the Divine Spells, you need to learn more about the Divine Path." Oswald said in a calm tone.
"Divine Path?" Charles raised his eyebrows and waited for Oswald to continue.
Meanwhile, Oswald nodded his head and began to explain.
"Divine Path is more of a complicated path. To walk on the path of Divines, you need two important things. The first thing is the believers. Without enough believers, you will be nothing more than a broken Divine. Although some Ancient Mages use the Divinities as supportive things and focus on improving their body strength, those types of people are very rare. Mostly, the Divines depend on their believers' strength."
"The second thing is about Divinities. To become a Demi-God, you need to gather five Divinities of the same Domain, fuse them, create a Divine spark, and then form the Divine Kingdom. As long as you complete this process, your body attributes will increase exponentially and enter the realm of Saint Level. By your body attribute levels, your strength, constitution, and Dexterity will be above 75! Once you attain this body state, you can even move in the [Time Stop] Domain!" He deliberated for a moment and then continued with a sigh.
"But to further improve on the path of Divine is a hard thing. The main thing is about getting the same domain Divinities. Let's take the Sun God as an example. If my guess is not wrong, he should be a Low-God. It means that he currently has more than 10 Sun Divinities. But if he wants to become a Mid-God, he needs more than 50 Sun Divinities! Alas, getting 50 Sun Divinities is almost an impossible task. No, even getting a single Sun Divinity is a hard thing."
"Where do these Divinities come from?" Charles suddenly got curious about the Divinities and asked.
"Hmm, that itself is a quite complicated question. I heard from a scholar once that these Divinities are born from nature. Let's take these Sun Divinities as an example. I once heard that the Sun Divinities appear on the outer surface of the Sun. The same goes for other Divinities. When certain environmental conditions coincide, something happens out of the norm and gives birth to these so-called Divinities."
"Now, do you understand why it is difficult to get these Divinities? If the Sun God wants to gather more Sun Divinities, he has two options. The first one is to search for the same Domain Divine and steals them from him. The second one is to enter the endless void, move towards the Sun and get the Divinities by himself. But both options are risky."
"Even if he found the same Domain Divine, he needs to lure the Divine out of his Divine Kingdom. Then, he has to kill the Divine's main body and steal the Sun Divinities. Unfortunately, no Divine would be foolish enough to walk out of his Divine Kingdom. Sneaking into an opponent's Divine Kingdom and stealing his Divinities is also not an option either. That would be the universal stupidest idea." As Oswald ended his lengthy speech, Charles nodded his head in understanding and asked another question.
"So, what is the role of the believers? Will they get stimulated from time to time and increase the Divine's wisdom power?"
Upon hearing his words, Oswald went speechless for a moment and shook his head.
"Although the Divine does get Wisdom Power from its believers, it won't help much during battles. The believers' main role is to strengthen the Divine Spells. Here, another power helps the Divines to strengthen their Divine Spells. It's called the power of faith! Yes, faith plays a crucial role when a battle occurs between Gods."
"During the battle, the Divines always project the battle incident to their believers in their Divine Kingdom and show them how powerful they were. In return, those fanatics will get over-excited and release uncontrollable positive emotions. That's called faith. The Divines, in return, uses this power of 'Faith' and cast powerful Divine spells to battle the opponent. The stronger the faith of its believers, the more powerful its Divine spells would become. That's why most of the ancient mages avoid confronting the Divines. As long as the Divines stay in their Divine Kingdom, they would send incarnations and their avatars to battle and overwhelm their enemies."
As Charles heard those words, he couldn't help but show a wry smile.
He then pondered for a moment and asked another question.
"Is there a way to imitate the Divine Spell, old man?"
"Imitate?" A frown appeared on Oswald's face.
He then thought for a moment and shook his head.
"Imitating a Divine Spell without Divinity is impossible." He paused for a moment and then asked.
"What are you planning, lad? Why do you need the power of Divine Spell?"
Meanwhile, Charles smiled helplessly and spoke about his plan.
"Oh? Do you want to create a Red Bird's incarnation with Divine Power and fool the Red Humans? Hmm, this is an interesting idea. But are you sure about this? Once you start your plan, you will face assassinations from these Sacred Humans. There is a high chance that Adur might notice your scheme and try to kill you earlier." Oswald said in a solemn tone.
"I have no time left, Mr. Runeth. It's the only option. As long as I trick these Red Humans, I can completely cripple Adur and let the Rank-5 Paragons take care of him. Then, I will have an easy time entering the Dungeon." Charles responded clearly.
"Indeed." Oswald nodded in approval, created a white cloud, and tossed it to Charles.
Although Charles was surprised by his action, he didn't evade the cloud and quickly absorbed it.
The next instant, a blueprint appeared in his mind.
"It's a minimized version of the Divine power extractor, and I call this as 'Essence Gatherer.' Unlike the other one, this one can temporarily gather people's soul essences and store them for a short time. You can use this blueprint, create these Essence Gatherers using fire-elemental energy and infuse some of your thoughts in them. Then, you can place these Essence Gatherers in people's bodies and let them do the Essence gathering works. When the right time comes, you can use your thoughts and create a fake Fire Bird's incarnation using these soul essences. As long as you made a perfect plan, you can even fool Adur."
Saying so, Oswald waved his hand and shifted his attention towards the metallic plate.
On the other hand, Charles shifted his attention towards the newly obtained blueprint and started to think.
