Chapter 455: Visions

First, Charles wrote down his personal information and recited a chant in runal language. A few seconds later, he ended the chanting, thought of returning to Edhen, and soon spoke.

"Reveal!"

A second later, the twelve marks on the mysterious blank paper suddenly shone in bright golden light and moved towards the center of the blank page.

At that moment, the mysterious paper also moved like water waves and absorbed the written words. The next instant, Charles suddenly noticed that the whole surroundings started to distort and was soon replaced with a different scene.

Currently, he stood inside a dark room filled with treasure chests, gold coins, silvers, and weapons, held an opened wooden treasure chest in his hands, and was looking at a fist-sized blue stone.

At that moment, he noticed a strange anomaly around his surroundings but decided to focus on the mysterious blue stone.

'Water-elemental stone? No, it looks more like a spatial-elemental stone.' But he also saw some mysterious, strange engraving on the surface of that stone and got perplexed inside. Before he could take a clear view, the surroundings shook violently and soon broke into millions of broken pieces like glass!

A moment later, Charles found himself sitting in front of the wooden table and showed a dumbfounded look on his face.

The main reason for that was the reality-like situation.

Yes!

Unlike before, he felt like he had been truly standing in the darkroom and even sensed the air!

It was so real that it startled him deeply.

'Is this due to my increased comprehension in Future Time?' He felt that was the possible explanation.

'Now, what does this bluish stone represent? A transportation stone? Moreover, where does that dark room located?' Although he wasn't sure of the location, he knew that the darkroom was a treasury!

'It must be the Holy See's treasury. Should I enter Astral Plane and try to sneak inside?' A bold idea appeared in his mind.

But he didn't dare to bet his life on luck and decided to check the future first. Once again, Charles picked up the wooden quill, dipped the brush into the ink bottle, and started writing his personal information on the blank page.

He stopped his quill a few seconds later, recited a short chant, and saw another realistic vision.

This time, he found himself standing in front of a tall dome-shaped building and noticed that he was in his soul form. Moreover, he saw that three skeletons had already surrounded him. Each of them held a scythe in their hand, wore a dark cloak, and looked more like grim reapers!

But unlike the normal skeleton, they appeared foggy and released some strange energy around them.

Although he was in his soul form, he felt that their gazes could see through his soul itself!

'They are also in their soul forms? Some type of Astral Beings?'

Just as he was about to take a closer look at those reapers, he noticed that the whole surroundings shook violently and then broke into pieces like glass.

A second later, Charles soon woke up from the short realistic vision and frowned.

'What are those skeletons? They appeared strong!' He hurriedly took out another notebook and started writing the information he had gathered from the last two visions.

After that, he again wrote his personal information on the blank page and continued to peek into the future. This time, instead of thinking about going back to Edhen, he chose to think about the mysterious enemy named 'Victor!'

Just like before, the whole surrounding turned blurry as he ended the chanting and noticed that he appeared in some plain grassy land. Opposite to him was a black-robed man with a bowler hat on his top. He had many accessories like a golden bracelet, a blurry mask-like thing covering his face, a mysterious amulet, a wooden staff, and two unique rings. Upon seeing this, Charles couldn't help but be surprised.

'He knew that I would peek into the future? Moreover, what are these strange accessories? Artifacts?' He stared at the mysterious black-robed man for a second, memorized his outer appearance, and soon noticed that the surroundings started to shake violently.

Before long, he found himself sitting in front of the table and showed a smile on his face.

'This is indeed a big surprise. Alas, I found more clues about Victor now.' He nodded inwardly, picked up the quill, and decided to write down all the accessories' appearances.

'As long as I learn more about those artifacts and their abilities, I'll have an advantage in the future battle.' He muttered inwardly. He once again followed the divination procedure and searched for some clues about the Demon Sorcerer Nash. But this time, some invisible power appeared out of nowhere and directly blocked him from even entering the realistic vision!

Charles widened his eyes in surprise and soon found himself back in the guest room a moment later.

'He is even more dangerous than this mysterious Victor? Or, his background is too big?' He felt that there were many mysteries about this guy.

'Is he also after something? Why would such a powerful person work under Julius's mother? No, he might be using her as a cover to hide his identity. Should I eliminate him?' In truth, the Demon Sorcerer Nash had been showing more interest in Julius's life during the past few months.

'It better to eliminate him now. Otherwise, he might stab me in the back at any time.' While muttering, he closed both of those books, stored them inside his space ring, and stood up from the chair. Then, he also closed the ink bottle and kept other things in his space ring.

After that, he walked away from the wooden table and moved towards the wardrobe.

He soon opened the wardrobe and started to look for something to wear. A few minutes later, he finally found a dark long black leather overcoat, white shirt, black pants, and black shoes. He then wore them one by one and closed the wardrobe. Once he had finished adjusting, he turned around and moved towards the nearby cabin. Over there, he found a pair of short black gloves and a white cotton scarf and wore them.

'It's time.' He nodded inwardly, left the guest room, and walked towards the Grand Hall. After a minute of walking, he arrived at the grand hall and noticed that no one had appeared in the hall.

Only then did he realize that it was still dark outside!

He paused in surprise, went towards the Lawson Sofa, and sat on it.

At the same time, he released his wisdom power, scanned the whole Castle, and soon frowned. At that moment, he noticed that the Demon Sorcerer Nash was nowhere to be seen inside the Castle.

He raised his eyebrows in suspicion and released his full wisdom power in all directions. In mere three seconds, his wisdom power covered almost half of Duke Michael's territory and continued to expand further!

Simultaneously, Charles saw every being's movement and soon found his target.

Currently, the Demon Sorcerer Nash sat inside a small Inn in the nearby town and seemed to be in the middle of meditation.

As Charles tried to probe him, he suddenly opened his eyes and furrowed his brows.

'Oh? He already perceived my scanning?' A flash of surprise appeared on Charles's face.

Meanwhile, the Demon Sorcerer Nash stood up from the concrete floor and looked at the surroundings in wariness. Then, he touched the mysterious necklace, recited a short chant, and created an invisible shield around himself.

Following that, he packed his things, put the sheathed sword on his waist, and walked out of his room!

'A single suspicion, but he already decided to leave the area! He is too cautious.' Charles praised him inwardly and sent a telepathic message to Melody and Irzoch.

Ten minutes later, both Irzoch and Melody walked out of their room and hurriedly ran towards the Grand Hall.

Currently, Melody wore a white dress with a long skirt and showed an elegant smile on her face. She also held a unique wooden staff in her hand and appeared more like a scholar. Meanwhile, Irzoch, in Duke Michael's appearance, wore a black suit, white shirt, and black vest with a black velvet collar and a velvet scarf wrapped around her neck. She also held a sheathed long sword in his hand and appeared to be ready for battle at any minute.

Charles stood up from his seat as he saw their arrival and nodded his head.

"Follow me."

Saying so, he turned around and started walking towards the keep.

Although Melody and Irzoch got confused by his order, they didn't say a word and followed him silently.

The trio soon exited the Castle's keep, walked past the garden and the front yard, and soon arrived at the tall castle gate.

Charles then ordered the castle gatekeepers to open the gate and stepped out. Meanwhile, Irzoch and Melody followed him behind and soon found themselves standing in the middle of a grassy plain.

Charles looked at the surroundings, pointed his finger at the nearby woods, and spoke.

"Wait over there for a while.. Once the enemy appears, your job is to block him from running away."
