Instead of responding, Charles pondered for a moment and asked a different question.
"Do you have emotions?"
[...]
After a short silence, a response came from the System.
[Insufficient information!]
[Trying to connect to 'Wisdom Link' to check for the possible answer!]
[Connection Successful!]
[Found the Answer!]
[According to the Wisdom Link of Edhen World, I'm an artificially mutated artifact and have neither emotion nor any feelings. But I have the power of Insight, which would help me distinguish between right and wrong. Also, I belong to the SS-Series Rank category and could cause considerable damage to the surroundings if not appropriately controlled.]
'But that earlier silence gives me the feeling that you might mutate further in the future.' He couldn't help but mutter with a wry smile on his face.
[It is possible during the following transformation, Host! The 'Wisdom Link' advises you to terminate me when that happens.]
Charles froze for a moment and soon asked.
'Oh? Then, what is this Wisdom Link?'
[From the gathered information, I can determine that it is a Higher Being!... Alert! Alert! Alert!]
A short pause appeared in his head, followed by the same familiar synthetic voice.
[Knowing more about it through the Wisdom Link might corrupt the System's information and lead to my destruction. The System advises the Host to abstain from asking such dangerous questions!]
'Even asking such questions leads to the destruction of the System, huh. Interesting. Then, show me my current body status.'
Just as he spoke, a blue game interface appeared in front of his eyes.

While Charles looked at his Status, Runeth and Zera arrived next to him and stared at his face in confusion.
Charles soon snapped out of it and responded with a smile.
"The system cube turned into an artificial system artifact, old man." He paused for a moment and started explaining what he had learned so far.
"Hmm, that Wisdom Link, the Eternal River of Life, Blood River, River of Time, the Fortune Wheel, and all those mysterious things spread across the universe might be some kind of Higher Beings indeed." While speaking, Runeth glanced at Zera and let out a deep breath.
"If so, then I want to destroy that Eternal River of Life one day and take back Zera's memories and soul!"
At that moment, a blue screen popped up in front of his eyes.
...
[Mission Triggered!]
[Mission Title: Runeth's Eternal Wrath.]
[Goal: Defeat the Higher Being [Eternal River of Life] and help Runeth recover the memory of Wood Elf Zera!]
[Mission Difficulty: Impossible]
[Rewards: ?????]
[Time Limit: Nil]
...
Before he could even look at the mission, the same synthetic voice echoed in his head.
[Please refrain from participating in that future mission, Host. The possibility of your survival against any higher being is zero!]
'It's an impossible task, huh.'
But what surprised him was the Mission option.
'Hmm, show me your status first.' He ordered.
The next instant, the blue screen blurred and was soon replaced with another one.
...
[Name: System-45 (Upgraded)
Rank: SS-Series
Abilities:
1. Dice of Disasters (1/Year)
2. Time Stop (1/Year)
3. ?????? (1/1000 Years)
4. Past Touch (1/Week)
5. System's Help (Passive)]
'Hmm? What do the question marks represent? Moreover, I can only use that ability once in 1000 years?' Charles was stunned inside.
[Even I don't have enough information about that option, Host. Unless you activate that option, it's almost impossible to guess the name of that ability.]
Charles furrowed his brows and soon nodded.
'It looks more like some kind of Future prediction ability.'
After that, he turned towards the downhearted Runeth and said solemnly.
"Don't put too much thought into it, old man. If you want to face such a higher being, you need to restore your soul to its peak state and improve further. First, decide whether you want to reincarnate or find a way to restore your original body. Although cloning can help you live like a human, you need more than that to achieve your goal."
"I know," Runeth muttered solemnly and soon shook his head.
"I need some time to think about it." He deliberated for a moment and soon added.
"You can go and continue your training."
In the meantime, Charles nodded his head and was about to walk away but stopped as he recalled something.
"What about my mission to the City of Miracles? You said that you will think of a plan to get the reward of the planar invasion mission, right?"
Upon hearing those words, Runeth froze for a moment and soon widened his eyes.
"Yes, I almost forgot about it. In truth, Jessie sent me a letter a few days ago and informed me that they would place the 'Draught of the Phoenix' potion in the City's museum from May-13 to May-15th for display. She even sent an Airship Ticket for your arrival, but I completely forgot about it."
As he spoke, he hurriedly touched his space ring, took out two crystalline sheets, and gave them to him.
One was a pure bluish color ticket, while the other was reddish.
Charles casually caught the tickets and soon saw his personal information was written on the front page.
"It's the Airship Tickets. Once you arrive at the City of Miracles, you will go through a series of inspection processes. After that, you should go to the museum under Jessie's guidance and replace this 'potion' bottle with the original one."
While saying so, Runeth took out a reddish bottle from his space ring and looked at it deeply.
The bottle made a popping sound, and its crystal turned into a brown liquid while a bit of flame appeared inside. There was also a strange array placed outside the bottle, and it seemed mysterious.
As Runeth touched the array, the liquid inside the bottle turned transparent and looked more like water!
"This should be more than enough to do the trick." While saying this, he turned his gaze towards Charles and passed it to him.
"That's it?" Charles stared at the potion bottle in suspicion.
"No. Once you enter the City of Miracle, you need to abide by the rules of the City and refrain from casting any attack magic spells. A mere sign of attacking someone with the intention of killing would trigger the arrays that placed all over the City and kill you in an instant." Runeth said in a cold tone.
"What do you mean? Casting any attack spell inside the City will get me killed? Then, how am I able to achieve my goal? What if the security force finds out my true intent and chases after me?" Charles asked in annoyance.
Meanwhile, Runeth shook his head and answered.
"You can't retaliate. A small mistake, and you would be bombarded with tens of Legend Rank spells from the sky. That whole City itself is a gigantic divine palace. All you can do is use your wits and steal the potion bottle without alerting anyone." He paused for a moment as he saw the worry in Charles's eyes and then added with a chuckle.
"Don't worry. When you enter the museum, touch the array on the potion bottle, and the water will turn into its previous state. After that, all you have to do is use your mysterious Trickster skill and replace this bottle with the original one. Following that, you and Jessie have to leave the museum in a hurry and reach the Airship station in the next 30 minutes. You can't use any flying spell, nor can you use a teleportation spell inside. Using these spells will attract the security forces, and it will delay your journey for sure." He stopped talking for a moment to take a deep breath and continued.
"The best way for you guys is to rent a carriage and move to the Airship station without showing any suspicious movement. Then, you will see an Airship named Azure-553 somewhere in Zone-3. Both of you have to find that Airship quickly and leave the City. All in all, you guys have to leave the City within one hour after replacing the potion bottle in the museum."
"Isn't this mission too dangerous?" Charles felt like he was taking a big gamble here.
"You think getting that potion without taking risk is a possible thing? If you don't want to take this chance, you can forget about it." Runeth said impatiently.
Meanwhile, Charles stored the potion bottle inside his space ring and sighed.
"Haa, it seems I have to play carefully this time."
Saying so, he enveloped his body in a crimson flame and disappeared from there.
