Opal’s body with Citrine
We fly over a clearing in the trees and I actually recognize where my daughter wants us to create spawn and level. It’s the original Liberation, or the place where I spent a large part of my life. The moon is bright tonight, so it’s easy to see details, like the vines growing up the sides of the walls. The gate is missing, and so is the Armory that used to be close to it. It’s a bit strange seeing it deserted and overgrown with weeds. I’m surprised monsters haven’t moved into it. “Do we tell your sisters where we’re going to be?” I ask as we land inside the walls.
Ding!
The message goes away quickly, so I guess Citrine claimed it. I should still be able to use it though, since this body is married to her. She sighs and says “You can tell them where we are, but I’m not ready to tell them what we’re doing yet. It’s not that I don’t trust them, as you know, there are ways to make people do and say things. If they don’t know I’m a Spawner, then they can’t be forced to tell someone.” That makes sense, I would hate if someone forced me to tell them secrets, but I know it’s possible. Arhu proved that, and the leader of Canton showed me that he wasn’t the only one who could. “Okay sweetie, I’ll tell them that we’re fine and working on our own plan. Telling them we’re doing our exploration adventure seems wrong, is that okay?”
Citrine answers “That’s fine, I was probably just being too cautious when I suggested it. You can tell them we’re working on something here, but make sure they know not to tell people. Everyone thinks this place is abandoned and probably overrun by monsters. It’s better for us if less people know, and we will be spawning monsters.” With her agreement, I use my other body to tell Amber and Sapphire where we’ll be and that we’re working on something secret. I’ll have to wait to tell Ruby, since she got busy organizing stuff, and always seems to be around other people. Onyx already went back to her boyfriend’s place, so I can’t tell her yet either.
I follow Citrine to an overgrown building that still seems sturdy. It’s the building Sara and Daria used to use for the camp’s babies. I’m glad it’s still standing, and I guess this is where we’ll be staying for a while. My angel daughter walks inside and tells me “I’ll put the dungeon in one of the rooms, but we’ll have to spawn at the old pillory room. It’s the only building with an entrance big enough for some of the things I’ll probably be spawning.” I nod, since I remember how hard it was to get the stone wings of the one statue through the doors to some of the dungeons in Opal’s Home. “Oh, will you have more options?” I ask her.
“There should be more options, but I still haven’t advanced the class enough to do it myself. There have been a few skills I’ve gotten though that said they increased it. I’m also higher tier in the class now.” I wiggle, since I’m excited to see the new options. We walk into one of the rooms and Citrine pauses. Soon after, familiar stairs going down appear, so this will be the dungeon room I guess. “Do we test to see what it has now?” I ask, but she shakes her head and says “We need to do some spawning, so the monsters can protect the place while we’re leveling.” That makes sense, so I follow her back out of the building and towards the center of the old camp.
When we enter the building, I see that some of the old pillories are still standing and unused. It makes me feel a bit happy seeing them, since this is where I made my first real friends, and my elf babies. Looking back, I can say now that I was a bit dumb, but it was worth the relationships I now have. I realize I’m not as smart as some of my daughters, but that’s okay because I can go to them for help when I’m thinking about stuff. I’m not even as strong as some of my daughters now, but that’s okay too, because they’re my family. I don’t have to be the tough one that takes most of the abuse from the orcs because I don’t feel the physical pain. Everyone is working for the benefit of everyone else, and we’ll be able to find our missing family members from Dragon Roost. I’m sure of it.
When I started life a year ago, it was a lot of probablys and maybes. Now I’ve learned a lot of things, and all of those changes started here. I find myself standing next to the posts of the pillory that used to be mine. I touch the wood and remember being upset with the trees for being so sturdy. I let out a little laugh and Citrine walks up to me asking “What’s so funny mom?” So I tell her “This was my spot, the one on that side was your sister Sapphire’s spot.” I then start pointing out the others “To the other side of me was Tasha, directly in front of me was Ruby. I remember her butt was always so white, just like mine. Off to the side was Amber’s spot, and Jessica was way over there.”
It’s probably weird to smile about my memories of such a bad place, but I remember I smiled then too. Could I still smile if the same thing happened today? I’m not sure, but I know there will be others who can’t smile because I’m not there to cheer them up. I turn to Citrine and give her a hug saying “Okay, lets start spawning stuff. I want to be as helpful as I can with getting our family back.” She pats my head and says “I should spawn everything almost immediately by now, since I have the class in the 4th tier, and quiet a few skills that lower the time.” So I keep hugging her and focus on using her like I would a structure.
Ding!
I tell my daughter the new options and she gets and excited look on her face saying “We need to make the Priestess Statue first.” Since she’s so excited about it I go ahead select it. It ends up taking about a quarter of my Health and Mana, but hardly any Stamina. I tell her and she says “Hold on.” There’s suddenly a stone stature next to her. It looks like a mix of our features again, this time wearing stone robes with black and gold accents. It’s very pretty, and it doesn’t have wings like the effigy did before. So I guess it’s probably more like the Knight. “Okay, that was almost instant. Statue, heal Opal.” She tells it, and I’m about to tell it to listen to her, but it heals me without it.

I see Citrine do a little wiggle before she says “I got a skill a few levels ago that gave me control over my own spawn, I just can’t make them by myself yet. They should still listen to you though, so let’s test it.” Oh that’s nice, telling each of them to listen to her would probably have gotten boring. “Statue, do a wiggle.” I tell it, and it soon starts wiggling. It’s not very good at it, but maybe I can teach it later. Citrine giggles and says “Okay statue, you can stop. Mom, let’s make Priestesses first, so they can help heal you after paying for the spawning.” I agree that it’s probably a good idea, and after a little bit of time, we have 4 Priestess Statues healing me. Citrine still doesn’t have a healing skill, since she just reset. So we have to rely on them for now.
“Okay, so do we take two of them into the dungeon with us while we wait for my mana to regenerate?” I ask her and she nods, answering “Yeah, That’s the plan. As soon as you’re close to full again, let me know and we’ll come back here to make some Knight and Archer statues for defense. We can try out the Fertility one later, but it doesn’t seem like something we’ll need right away.” Since my mana won’t be back for probably a couple hours or so, we go back to our temporary house and into the dungeon.
We enter the familiar first hall that all dungeons seem to have. We are bringing two Priestess statues with us, since they can level too. We didn’t notice the Knight or Effigy getting any new skills when we tested it before, but they did get harder to break. So since we have two open slots in our party, we might as well bring them along. When I open the first door, I see two lizards standing on their hind legs, and above their heads it says -Lizardman- Lvl 1. “Ugh, it’s lizardmen. If the normal boss on the 10th floor ends up having magic, I’m going to have you reset it. They can be really annoying dungeons if they go that route.” Citrine says when she walks in the room. I’ll trust that she knows what she’s talking about.
After we kill the two in this room, she explains to me the best ways to kill a lizardman. Apparently they can just detach their tails, so I can’t swing them around like I was hoping. Oh well, I’ll have to smash them like everything else. We spend some time looking through all the rooms, since we want some beds, but the lizardmen seem to sleep on the floor. It’s a bit unfortunate we probably won’t get any beds, but we do find some rocks that give off heat around where they sleep. Citrine says it’s reminds her of a pet lizard she had once. We end up taking some since they’re interesting, and we can just have the statues carry them for us.
When we get to the last part of the 9th floor and Citrine touches the entrance to the 10th, she pauses. “You should read it yourself mom.” my daughters says, so I touch the door and see
Ding!
I look back at Citrine and ask “Should we do it, just to check it out?” I see her thinking about it, she can be cute when she thinks a lot. She responds “Let’s do it, I’ve heard of boss rooms with special requirements, and none of them were horrible. One guy tried to sleep with me by saying he could get into one because of his class.” She shrugs and continues “It didn’t sound useful enough to sleep with the man, so I don’t know if he was telling the truth.” I wiggle, since it’s exciting to find something new that probably won’t be bad. I accept and access the Special Room.
We show up in a hall with big doors at the end like usual for a boss room. So we walk to the end of the hall and slowly open the doors. Inside is a room with pink and blue stones for walls, and is decorated with egg designs everywhere. Standing in the center of the large room is a more human looking lizardman. He only has scales on parts of his body, mainly his back, arms, legs and a bit on the sides of his face. He of course still has a tail, but I’m surprised to see that he has hair, even if it is green. Above his head it says -Setra, the Egg Keeper- Lvl 20. He starts to speak after seeing us and says “Welcome to the Egg Chamber worthy ones. The Dungeon is willing to offer you rewards for your cooperation with the production of eggs. If you are interested, just let me know, but if you wish to leave you may do so. As a worthy Player you may return to this room again later if you so choose.”
He seems a bit odd, but not hostile, so he must be more like Snag. “So we can just leave and come back later if we decide to help?” Citrine asks him, but he points to me and says “As long as you bring the one loved by dungeons.” I wiggle since apparently dungeons love me, I’m not sure yet if I can say the same thing about my feelings for dungeons, but it’s nice to hear. I decide to ask “What would happen if we wanted to help with making eggs?”
“Some lizardmen would spawn and breed with you until you choose to stop. I would then ask that you wait until you lay the eggs, after which you will be rewarded for the amount of eggs produced. You will not receive any rewards for eggs laid outside the dungeon.” Setra says, and it sounds safe enough. Citrine says “We’ll return at a later time then, we have other things to deal with right now. Is that alright mom?” I agree with her, but I’ll be interested in checking it out later. I walk up to Setra and give him a hug, it’s a bit awkward since this is my small body, and he’s tall. I decide to ignore the fact that he’s naked and his big penis is dangling by my head. “See you later Setra.” I tell him, and then leave with Citrine.
We show up outside the dungeon again and my daughter says “We can see what kind of rewards it gives after we have enough defenders spawned.” I agree with her and we turn to go back in the dungeon, since my mana isn’t back to full yet.
My four bodies trying to get back to Opal’s Home come out into a clearing, and I see familiar walls. I’ve finally made it. Now I can start working with Sapphire and Cindy on that Hound plan.
