Chapter 102:

The stadium was too hot. Yu Sui had taken off his jacket before the interview. Now he had on a thin team uniform T-shirt. If this got torn, they really wouldn’t be able to leave the room.

Although Shi Luo really, really, really wanted to do this…

Right now, Shi Luo could feel Yu Sui’s breath and heartbeat. It felt like his heart and brain were being set on fire. He had to do his best to restrain his young body’s instincts before he really does something to Slag man Yu.

Shi Luo closed his eyes and tried to get his sanity back. He himself hasn’t even seen well and touched well Slag man Yu’s innate male model type body. It would be too much of a loss on his part if he were to let outsiders see it just like that. Moreover, today Yu Sui had already bombed the field. The media and fans were clamoring to be fed. The two couldn’t stay in the lounge for too long. If after a while, they go out with their clothes in disarray and then they were accidentally photographed…it would be really difficult to explain it away.

Shi Luo buried his head against Yu Sui’s chest. He took a deep breath and stood up, muttering, “Wait until we get to the base. I won’t let you so easy again…Le-let’s…go.”

Yu Sui lowered his head and chuckled, “If you say so…”

Shi Luo picked up his hood and put it on. He said, muffled, “I do say so.”

Shi Luo opened the door and left the lounge.

Free’s team leader was still waiting in the corridor, confused. He looked nervously at Shi Luo and Yu Sui and said carefully, “You guys aren’t arguing, right?”

Shi Luo knew that his face was definitely didn’t look right. He looked sideways at a reflective decorative logo in the corridor that could be used as a mirror. Not only did he see that his eyes were red, but his neck and chest were all red as well. In the eyes of people who didn’t know, he definitely looked like he had just gotten angry.

But, oh well. it’s better than letting people know that he had almost gone into a rut in someone else’s lounge room from how much Yu Sui teased him.

“No, we weren’t quarreling.” Yu Sui took the portable mic from his back waist and handed it to the team leader. He said, relaxed, “Evil had something personal to discuss with me…Where are the others?”

“Waiting in the lounge.” Knowing that the two hadn’t quarreled, the leader felt relieved and he hurriedly urged, “They’re all starving. Let’s grab your stuff and get going. There’s still a lot of things we need to take care of.”

Shi Luo pulled his collar, irritated by the heat. He frowned upon hearing this, “There’s still a lot of things to take care of? What other things?”

The team leader was so happy he couldn’t contain himself. Eyes filled with anticipation, he said, “A celebration party! Manager Zhou has already arranged it. He prepared a lot of gifts for us in advance. He announced earlier that if we win the game today, we will be showered with gifts!!! All the arrangements have been made. We’re going to party all night!”

“All night? What the fu-…” Shi Luo stopped mid-way. He wanted to find Zhou Huo and hit him. They weren’t going back to the base and were going to party all night, my ass!

Seeing that Shi Luo was in a bad mood, the team leader asked carefully. Shi Luo couldn’t say that right now, he wanted nothing but to bed Yu Sui. So, he had to do his best to suppress his anger and nod. “All…all night, OK, OK. Let’s go. Party. All. Night.”

The two went to the lounge to fetch their things. They were surrounded by a group of excited people in Free’s lounge and were ushered out of the stadium and onto their car.

Zhou Huo had already made reservations at the restaurant a long time ago. The place and the dishes they served were all liked by everyone. After eating, without waiting for anyone to catch their breath, Zhou Huo elated, overstimulated and bursting with energy, took everyone to a familiar clubhouse to continue the festivities.

Not only the players but also all the many staff members of the club have worked hard all season. It simply won’t do if he doesn’t reward them with food and drink to thank them for their hard work. Zhou Huo treated their celebration party as their annual party and gave out the gifts that he had prepared in advance. Old Qiao received a new model of mobile phone.

The team hadn’t been out in a long time and tomorrow was the start of their vacation. No one had anything to worry about and the drinking ban was broken. Not only did Old Qiao not restrain the players, he himself first drank a can of beer and began pouring drinks for others. Less than an hour after arriving at the hall, everyone except Yu Sui had drank more than two cans.

“Hey, isn’t…Yu Sui is seeing someone?”

Chen Huo and Puppy were going crazy from drinking. They would randomly catch people and pour them drinks. After quite some time of laughing and making merry, Chen Huo became muddled from drinking and slumped to one side, playing with his mobile phone. He belatedly took a look at his mobile phone and said, bewildered, “Hey. Is this real? How come I only skipped watching one interview and now, there was so much news? Is this fake or real?”

Old Qiao had his head down, eating fruit and he gave Chen Huo a disgusted look. After all, Yu Sui and Shi Luo still hadn’t come out completely. Right now, there were too many various staff members. Old Qiao didn’t want Chen Huo to inadvertedly spill the beans. He took a piece of muskmelon and stuffed into Chen Huo’s mouth. He said, perfunctorily, “You’ll figure it out when you sober up. Eat, eat.”

Zhou Huo laughed and said nothing. At the moment, all the major e-sports forums have been bombed by Yu Sui’s post-match interview and they were all discussing frantically. The more their discussions failed to produce a result, the hotter the topic became. Zhou Huo was very happy to see this. He was sitting back and reaping the profits without having to lift a finger. Countless people in WeChat have asked Zhou Huo about it and Zhou Huo simply gave a unified reply saying that as manager, he did not interfere too much in the players’ personal affairs; he was not clear as to what Whisper meant by repeatedly mentioning Evil in his interview and he didn’t know who was this divine personage that was Whisper’s girlfriend.

Chen Huo, who was already drunk-crazy, was sorted out by Old Qiao and he forgot all about Yu Sui’s love life. After giving a start, he looked over at the absent-minded Shi Luo and he regained his spirit. He pulled Shi Luo to sit on the sofa and began pouring him a drink. Shi Luo had pretty good alcohol-tolerance. Because he kept thinking about how he had to return to the base, he never dared to drink too much. At this moment, he was caught by this drunkard Chen Huo, without any rhyme or reason. Shi Luo tried to keep off Chen Huo and said, “Get lost…go find someone else to drink with you.”

“For the entire night&#k2026;” Chen Huo stared at Shi Luo, dissatisfied, “It’s just you! You’re the one out of place! You’re not ecstatic! You’re not happy enough! You&#k2026;you’re not of one mind with your brothers! Are you part of Team Free of not? After winning the championship, you don’t cry or drink! What are you thinking? Do you have some other plans&#k2026;If you were to follow the long-standing pattern&#k2026;Next season, are you going to have another b*tch fight with Yu Sui and then leave the team and start somewhere else?”

Shi Luo: “…”

Shi Luo tried his best to remain calm. “Your f*cking uncle, I am.”

“And there you go insulting even my uncle.” Chen Huo couldn’t bear it anymore, took a beer and poured it directly. “You will now have to drink. For my uncle’s health!”

Shi Luo wanted to throw Chen Huo over his shoulder.

Yu Sui was also playing on his mobile phone. He scanned the forums, looked up at Chen Huo and Shi Luo then bowed his head and continued to play.

Zhou Huo had just been forced to drink by Chen Huo. He didn’t dare to help Shi Luo out of that spot of trouble lest he be caught by Chen Huo once again. He urged Yu Sui, “Don’t you care what happens to him? Be a bit more considerate.”

Yu Sui smiled and he didn’t overdo it. They were just teasing and having a bit of fun. Chen Huo was Shi Luo’s close teammate. The two of them were just playing around and being noisy, that’s all. Why would he need to protect him like a fussy mother-hen? If he did, it would also contribute to alienating Shi Luo from his other teammates. Is Shi Luo not allowed to have a normal relationship with his teammates?

Although… The way his team interacts among themselves has always been a bit brutal.

But at most, they would have drank just a few more sips of beer. Yu Sui lowered his head and said to himself, “If they drink a bit too much, then they drink a bit too much…there’s a reason to drink a lot anyway. Tomorrow, you’ll be going to Hangzhou.”

Zhou Huo put on an “I don’t see anything” expression. If Yu Sui didn’t care then he didn’t care.

Over at Shi Luo’s side, he couldn’t hold off the drunkard Chen Huo and so he helplessly drank a small half can of beer. Shi Luo kicked Chen Huo away then turned his head to look for Zhou Huo. Frowning, he asked, “What time are we going to go home? They’re all drunk already. We still aren’t leaving?”

“If he gets drunk, then let him sleep on the floor.” Puppy was eager to start an outdoor live broadcast. He was very interested. Hearing what he said, he shot back, “What’s the hurry? How old are you? Does your base have a curfew? You’re not allowed to play outside?”

“I…” Shi Luo clenched his hand around the remaining half can of beer and gritted his teeth. “If you weren’t scheduled to play in the World Championships, I would crush this can of beer on your head…”

Puppy started the live broadcast. He fixed his hair and faced the camera. He said calmly, “Go ahead…if there are rumors of fighting at the championship team celebration party I would have more viewers in my live broadcast.”

While talking, Chen Huo came around trying to catch him again. Shi Luo couldn’t afford to and quickly evaded, pushing away Chen Huo and sitting on the other side. After a while, he once again couldn’t help but yell towards Zhou Huo, asking, “Aren’t we going to go home yet?! ”

Yu Sui put away his mobile phone and chuckled, “The adults are drinking. What are you making a fuss about?”

Puppy fixed his bangs, then nodded and said, “You brat, you don’t understand anything.”

Shi Luo was speechless. Before he could have a fit of anger, Yu Sui got up and sat next to Shi Luo.

Yu Sui leaned very close to Shi Luo. Leaning on the sofa, he whispered to hi,, “Shi Shen…what’s your hurry?”

Shi Luo didn’t dare look straight at Yu Sui at this moment. He turned to look away and said stiffly, “Nothing!”

Shi Luo refused to admit it but he really was like a kid who had gotten bored in a bar. He would play with his phone for a while and then asked Zhou Huo what time they would go home. Yu Sui thought it was so cute that his heart softened. At two o’clock in the morning, no one still wanted to leave. In the end, Yu Sui said, “You still have to go to Hangzhou tomorrow morning. Aren’t you going anymore?”

Chen Huo was muddled from drink but when he heard about the vacation in Hangzhou, he suddenly sobered up. “Yeah… Then, let’s go home.”

Old Qiao was flushed from drinking. He stood up and said, “Yes… let’s go, wait… when we get to Hangzhou, we will continue to celebrate. Let’s go, let’s go.”

The reason Zhou Huo had been busying about all night in the first place was to reward the entire club with food and drink. Seeing that everyone was leaving, he was all too happy to return to the base to rest. He hurriedly got up, called the driver over and went to settle the bill.

Shi Luo had been fending off left and right the whole night. Everyone was urging him to have some drinks. By the time they were leaving, he too had drank quite a bit and he was a bit unsteady on his feet.

It was three o’clock in the morning by the time they got this group of drunks back to the base. Shi Luo was drunk. His speech was becoming unintelligible. When he got out of the car, he staggered and was caught calmly by Yu Sui, embracing him.

Except for the driver, only Yu Sui hadn’t drank. Yu Sui carried his and Shi Luo’s peripheral bags with one hand and put his other arm around Shi Luo. He said, “If you drank too much, don’t sleep by yourself. Find someone to accompany you. Zhou Huo, please arrange it. I’ll take care of Shi Luo.”

Zhou Huo was best at these kinds of trivial things. Zhou Huo waved away Yu Sui, letting him go to sleep. “I know. I won’t let them choke on their vomit. You go and sleep…”

Yu Sui looked at Shi Luo, who was leaning against his chest and murmuring non-stop. He bowed his head and said a few words to coax Shi Luo and then he took him upstairs in his embrace.

After a good night’s sleep, when Shi Luo woke up, he lay in bed, dazed, for a long while.

He was lying on Yu Sui’s bed. The blackout curtains in Yu Sui’s room were drawn. There was no light in the room, and the room was dark. He couldn’t tell whether it was day or night and he was alone on the bed. Shi Luo idled for a while before moving. Shockingly, he found that he was wearing nothing.

Shi Luo: “…”

Shi Luo had drank quite a bit last night and he had forgotten what had happened after returning to the base.

Judging from his own situation… Had he already done something with Yu Sui?

Shi Luo couldn’t accept it. He had been yearning for it all night! And now…it’s…it’s over?

The base was very quiet. There was no sound from outside the door or window. Their teammates must have already gone to Hangzhou.

Shi Luo lifted the quilt a bit and took a look… Yes, he really wasn’t wearing anything.

So in the end…did they do it or not?

Shi Luo groped around for a long while but couldn’t find his phone. He got up and turned on the lights. He looked at the time—two o’clock in the afternoon.

His teammates really must have left already and he had no idea where Yu Sui was. Shi Luo went to the bathroom to wash up, confused and bewildered.

While taking a shower, Shi Luo thought he heard the doorbell ring. The sound of the water was too loud so he couldn’t be sure. After coming out, he saw Yu Sui coming into the room, bringing in takeaway breakfast.

Yu Sui put the breakfast box down and threw his phone aside. “Does your head hurt?”

Shi Luo shook his head and sat down to have breakfast with Yu Sui.

Immediately after having breakfast, Yu Sui tidied up the food boxes as usual. Shi Luo looked at Yu Sui, he said hesitantly, “Last night…”

Yu Sui packed up the take-out garbage and took it out of the room. He came back a moment later. “What did you just say?”

Shi Luo sat on the bed and said dazedly, “It seems that there’s a portion of last night that I…”

It seemed that Yu Sui’s mind wasn’t on Shi Luo at all. After throwing away the trash, he took a bottle of mineral water and handed it to Shi Luo. Along the way, he turned on the humidifier in the room. “What’s up with you?”

Shi Luo took the water that Yu Sui handed him. “What did I…what did I do last night?”

Yu Sui smiled, “That could be a lot.”

“I never knew that about you before. Why are you so tedious when you’re drunk?” Yu Sui picked up the clothes that the two of them had changed out of yesterday and threw them in the clothes hamper. “Do you know how badly behaved you were? You didn’t want to take a bath. It was no use even when I tried to coax you. I was afraid that you’d feel uncomfortable going directly to sleep when you are drunk, so I wiped you down a bit with a towel.”

Shi Luo couldn’t bear to remember. “I…”

“You even wanted to take off my clothes. You couldn’t even keep your eyes open anymore but you were still full of dirty intents…” Yu Sui drew the curtains that Shi Luo had pulled opened. He turned on a night lamp and walked to the front of the cabinet. He fixed the mess of things Shi Luo shoved there. He then sat back on the bed after everything was cleaned up. He looked at Shi Luo, “Do you still remember what you said?”

Shi Luo instinctively felt that he must have lost his restraint when he was drunk and shook his head reluctantly.

“You were being extremely honest.” Yu Sui smiled, rubbed Shi Luo’s head, and whispered softly into his ear. “Things you can usually say and things you can’t…Those things that you think you can’t ever say…you said it all.”

Shi Luo blushed.

“You kept wanting to kiss me. Do you know how much effort I took just so I could be considerate and let you sleep? You kept misbehaving, leaning into my arms and whispering…” Yu Sui’s voice was getting lower and lower, “that from the day we got together, you’ve wanted to sleep with me.”

Shi Luo’s ears were burning hot, but he didn’t refute.

Although he couldn’t remember it, he was well aware of what he had been thinking all day long. Shi Luo knew that Yu Sui wasn’t making it up.

Shi Luo said with difficulty, “I… I won’t say it.”

“Why won’t you say it?” Yu Sui said in a low voice, “I coaxed you and let you sleep. Shi Shen, do you know what you said at the time?”

Shi Luo’s face was already thoroughly red. He said in a low voice, “I don’t want to know anymore.”

Yu Sui smiled. “It’s too late for regrets. I should have recorded it for you.”

“Okay, I’ll whisper it to you.” Yu Sui lilted his head and kissed Shi Luo’s ear. With his lips pressed to Shi Luo’s ear, as though whispering sweet nothings, he said, “You said, if we do it…you would behave and sleep. ”

Shi Luo’s ears and neck went instantly red.

Yu Sui’s breath was too close. Shi Luo’s fingers trembled slightly. He felt a bit like wanting to hide but the biggest doubt in his heart was still there. He had to keep asking. Shi Luo tried his best to keep his tone calm. He said, voice hoarse, “Then… did you do it?”

Yu Sui said, “No.”

“Although you were especially sweet when you were drunk, it was almost like you…would agree to anything.” Yu Sui held Shi Luo’s hand and said very quietly in Shi Luo’s ear, “But for our first time…I can’t just consider what would make me happy.”

Yu Sui intertwined their fingers and said in a low voice, “Besides, I have every confidence…that even when you aren’t drunk, you can be just as well-behaved as when you were.”

Yu Sui took Shi Luo’s hand into the pocket of his sweatpants and asked, “What’s in my pocket?”

Shi Luo took out the contents of Yu Sui’s pants pocket. His face could be dripping blood from how red it was.

“I bought these a week ago and I arranged the vacation a month ago.” Yu Sui lowered his head and kissed Shi Luo’s lips. He whispered, “We have three whole days. There’s no hurry. Let’s take our time…”

Translator’s note:

When Yu Sui asked what was in his pocket, I was expecting that to go some other way. They would both lead to the same end point but yeah…Hahaha.
