At our high school, when the tests are returned, the students with the highest scores are read out.
“Shizuku Natsukawa-san got a perfect score in Japanese. Applause, everyone!”
“The average score in math is forty-five. However, there are a few people who got perfect scores. I’ll call the names. Natsukawa. Congratulations.”
“Miss Natsukawa’s English exam was perfect. Excellent!”
“I’m returning the Japanese history test. Natsukawa is in first place. Come to the front.”
“I’ll give you back your biology test. The average score is lower this time because the questions were more difficult, but there are some students who got very high scores. I’ll be announcing it now. Top score goes to Natsukawa-san. Please come and pick up your test.”
…Are you a monster?
Isn’t she too much of a genius?
However, the scariest part is what Natsukawa-san says and does when she receives the test.
Whenever she receives her test and returns to her seat, she would walk next to Takamine-san.
At this point, Yamada-kun fainted, and I can’t let go of the AED.
“Don’t you think you need to be academically strong as well as being athletic? Takamine-san?”
It reminds me of a certain banker who doubled down. (T/N: A reference too, I think? Someone tell me.)
“…Ughhhhh!!!”
Takamine-san bit her lips and tears started welling up in her eyes.
Her face is dyed bright red, and there are vein marks on her forehead. Her beautiful face is ruined.
“Even if you’re smart, I’m not sure if you should be flaunting it.”
“Ara, I guess I’m just a sore loser. Come to think of it, Takamine-san’s name hasn’t been called up once, I wonder if she doesn’t have any specialties.”
“Huh…!?”
The two of them won one and lost one.
As soon as school ended, both Natsukawa-san and Takamine-san turned their heads with a “Hmph…!” and left the classroom.
This concludes the report on school activities by the class president.
–Who could have predicted that Komori-kun and Takamine-san would become lovers the very next day?
