While Xiang Ning had been leisurely spending time for the past three days, the government had slowly been censoring the information about him on the internet so his popularity died down.
Most people only look up the most basic information instead of exploring further. Soon, only the people who were familiar with Xiang Ning were left. No one tried finding out more about him; he was no longer the focus of the masses.
The stampede had also died down in the three days. The crisis was over and the students left the fortress to go back to their daily lives.
Xiang Ning and his friends were naturally leaving as well. They were concluding what they had obtained for the past few days.
First was Li Zimo. He had broken through to tier three, four-star. He had even trained one of his martial techniques to the Awakened level.
Liu Ruoxue had increased her Mental Power up to tier three and was already reaching the middle of that tier. She was very close to breaking through again.
Fang Rou, on the other hand, hadn’t increased her cultivation that much due to worrying over both Fang Hao and Xiang Ning. She was only tier three, two-star, and her Mental Power hadn’t grown much.
Lu Shiyu had the most growth amongst them as a dual cultivator. She was simultaneously a tier three, four-star martial artist and spiritual cultivator. That exceeded Xiang Ning’s expectations as her talent was slowly beginning to shine through. It should be known that dual cultivation was notoriously more difficult to cultivate compared to cultivating as a pure martial artist or spiritual cultivator.
Back in Marsh City, the Thunder Dojo had arranged transport for everyone. Fang Rou went back to the dojo and Xiang Ning returned to his home.
Looking at the familiar building, he felt a sense of nostalgia. It was just days ago that he had departed for Fortress Three. On the road outside his house, he saw his sister’s small figure just in front of the door.
He quickly walked forward the moment he saw her, anxiety flooding his heart. Before she could even speak, he had already hugged her and spun her around in joy. Looking at her disorientated face, he quickly put her down. He heartily laughed as he felt the weight of his world lift. “Have you been diligent in your training and listened to the teaching of Uncle Zhao?”
“Hey! I’m not a kid anymore! And welcome back, big brother!” She smiled as she pulled two chicken eggs out of her pocket.
He gladly accepted them. “Yep, nothing beats the fresh eggs of free-range chickens! Let’s go inside.” Having said that, he entered the house with her. Breathing in the familiar scent of his home, he felt his body relax and walked toward his bed and collapsed. He just wanted to take a good nap.
Xiang Xiaoyu stood at the door, uncertain whether she should say something or not.
“Hmm, my bedsheets smell like sunshine. Did you wash them?” Xiang Ning was delighted.
“Yep! I washed it just a day ago!” she said, but her eyes were glancing around. Xiang Ning got up and walked toward the fridge. There were many ingredients inside. “Did you try cooking for yourself?”
“Yeah, it was expensive to eat outside so I wanted to try cooking for myself,” Xiang Xiaoyu chuckled as she scratched her head. It was obvious that she had failed.
Xiang Ning suddenly recalled that she could only cook a very few simple dishes. She had never cooked anything more complicated, so naturally she had failed. “Alright, since I’m back let’s cook something! I’ll cook anything you like. Just let me know what you want to eat.” He rolled up his sleeves.

On the other side of the city, Lu Shiyu received a message from Azura and arrived at the central hotel of Marsh City. Two girls were waiting in the presidential suite on the highest floor.
One of them was wearing all black with black-framed glasses. She looked strong and athletic. The other girl was petite, wearing a white shirt and skirt and had long, flowing hair that framed her delicate features. She was as beautiful as an angel.
“Annot, you just arrived at Marsh City, why don’t you rest first and explore tomorrow?” The girl in black was Annot’s manager and elder sister, Anran. She was eight years older than Annot.
“But sister… this is my first time on Earth, I want to go and explore!” Annot tried using her cuteness to her advantage.
Anran struggled to maintain her poker face and declined. “No, absolutely not.” Annot was too cute! Everyone would stare at her beauty. No one in the world could hate her.
She was only sixteen, but she had already learned that a lot of her fans were on Earth. The people here were very cooperative with each other, and fought against the beasts as comrades in arms. It wasn’t like Azura, where their internal conflict had finally died down just three years ago. Various factions were fighting over the resources on the planet, causing a lot of headaches for the various governments there, and even the Federation back on Earth. Alas, the Federation couldn’t do much because they were too far away and had to fight back against the beasts themselves.
Because Annot had seen the cruelty of war, she wanted to soothe the victims of it. That was the basis of her public identity. The reason why she had come to Earth was to ease the victims and gain the support of the people on Earth, thereby allowing her to somehow use their support to maintain the peace on Azura.
However, not even she could understand why everyone had been attracted to her since she was young. She had many admirers, but barely any friends. Most of them said that she was an angel and should only be admired, not be close with.
The alienation and isolation had caused her to be more cautious with strangers. But everything changed one day when she sang.…
Just as she wanted to continue appeasing her sister, there was a knock on her door. Both of them fell silent.
Anran walked toward the door to check who it was. When she saw it was Lu Shiyu, she smiled and opened the door. “Hello! Good to see you again! Come in.”
“To think that I could meet Anran here on Earth, it’s such a pleasure to see you again.”
“Is it sister Shiyu? That’s great! Quick, come in, I’m bored to death!” Annot jumped down from her chair, her spirited movements just like an elf. She had known Lu Shiyu for six years and was one of her closest friends.
