At only 1.45 meters tall, Xiang Xiaoyu’s soft and petite figure resembled a lazily curled-up cat against her brother. She slowly opened her eyes and muttered something, then slurred, “What… is it?”
She was very sleepy, which was usually the case after spending great Mental Power. It was usually alright, but she felt especially relaxed and comfortable today; even her vision was blurred. She saw a few pieces of light pink paper in front of her, then couldn’t help but shut her eyes again. Her increasingly soft face was like a soft dumpling on Xiang Ning’s thigh. His breathing intensified. Why… why is my sister so cute? He really wanted to rub those cheeks, what should he do?
He suppressed the urge to pinch her cheek and patiently said, “You said you wanted to go to Annot’s concert, right? I got you three tickets.” He thought she would love the surprise, so he was slightly hurt when she didn’t seem very interested. Sigh, it felt like a small failure as her big brother.
But when he’d spoken, he was unaware that she had stiffened, her dumpling-like cheeks suddenly taut. Her eyes sprang open, sharply fixated on the three tickets.
Then.…
Xiang Ning’s eyes widened as she swiped at the tickets like a pouncing cat as she screeched in delight. It was cute to see her face all puffed up.
“WOW! How did you get these?”
“Hehe, I’ve been assigned a mission and they’re considered an early reward for it, I guess,” he said, scratching his head. He was relieved to see that she liked them.
“This one’s mine, this one’s for Chen Zixin, and one’s left for you. Hmm, let’s all go to the concert, Annot’s songs are really good,” she said with a smile.
“Uh, I might not be able to go with you.” He pointed at himself. “Actually, I’ll be working as security during the concert. I don’t need a ticket to enter. But I’ll be in the area, so we might even meet each other.”
“Oh, alright. But… what’s your mission? I can’t believe you got front-row tickets.” Xiang Xiaoyu read the seat position from the ticket.
“Yeah, isn’t that a good thing?” He scratched his head, looking at his hesitant sister in confusion. “Why?”
She looked at the tickets. “I can exchange this for a ticket in the middle row instead, these tickets are worth a lot.”
Xiang Ning was speechless.
“Hey!” she gasped. She was startled by Xiang Ning suddenly ruffling her neat hair.
“What’re you talking about? You’ve got to sit in the front row so I can see you,” he grinned.
Xiang Xiaoyu giggled and stuffed the tickets into her trouser pocket, burrowing into his arms. Ten minutes later, his phone vibrated. He quickly took out his phone, then retracted his arm from her back to cover her mouth. “Hello, Master?”
“Hey, the program you wrote finalized its results, come check it out,” said Dong Qianyi.
“I’m sorry, I feel like staying home today so I won’t be leaving the house. It’s a cold day, you and Old Jin had better remember to wear more layers. Rest early. Leave the work there, I don’t want to trouble you guys,” Xiang Ning said in a low voice.
Dong Qianyi looked at the hundreds of thousands of number strings and smiled. He said in a low voice, “Alright, spend more time with your little sister.”
“Thank you, Master.”

When he hung up, Old Jin, who was next to him, asked, “He’s not coming?”
“He’s still a child. But he did ask me to tell you to wear more layers since it’s getting cold out.”
“That silly child, how could it be cold in the research facility.…” Old Jin smiled, then had a sudden thought and continued, “I think I haven’t taken a walk outside in a while. Mr. Dong, would you like to take a walk with me?”
“You can just call me Dong.” Dong Qianyi smiled. He went up to a nearby wardrobe and retrieved two large cotton-padded jackets.

The next day, the sun shone on the city, bringing life back to it after the cold of the night.
“Sigh, the temperature dropped again. But it’s bustling here.” Xiang Ning rode his Windbreaker to the Central Tower. It was the day of Annot’s concert.
He had never truly experienced a crowd of such scale. Along the way, he saw countless people pouring toward the southern region of the city where the only open-air arena that could contain a crowd of fifty thousand people was located. To tell the truth, he felt pressured when he saw the numbers. There were so many people. If there really were malicious people who slipped into the crowd to cause trouble, it could become a complicated situation. It shouldn’t be a big problem though. With Keen Observation and Combat Instinct, as long as he displayed a bit of his capability while standing next to Annot, it would attract attention and killing intent. Then his Combat Instinct would pick up on the location of the threat.
Very soon, he arrived at Central Tower. He parked his Windbreaker, then hurried to Annot’s room.
He had arrived in a solemn mood for the mission but wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry when he stepped inside. Annot was wrapped up like a dumpling, so she was completely unrecognizable. She was even two or three centimeters taller.
“What’s all this?”
Anran walked out, chuckling, and looked at Annot as if she was her masterpiece. “What do you think? I’m preparing Annot for the ride on your bike, this is just a precaution.”
Xiang Ning frowned. “What if I become their prime target?”
“No, if they make a move, it’ll be directly targeted at Annot. Targeting you will make our security measures tighter, and they aren’t that dumb.”
“Alright, but this getup is quite obvious.” Xiang Ning stepped forward to rescue Annot from the tangle in exasperation.
Annot was panting and resentfully glaring at Anran.
Anran rubbed Annot’s face, chuckling when she saw how red it was from being wrapped up. “Xiang Ning, why don’t you do it then? Your duty starts now. You must have skills to disguise a person as a bodyguard.”
Xiang Ning was speechless. He could do it, but was it really in the job description of a bodyguard? However, the simplest solution was for a guy to be disguised as a girl, and a girl to be a guy.
Ten minutes later, Annot walked out of the room in a shirt and jeans with a cap. She no longer looked like the angel she looked like on stage.
