Boom! Boom! Boom!
Hundreds of enemy drones had been destroyed within thirty seconds. The commander on the other side was stunned.
“What the hell was that? How could primitive humans possess such precise target-locking programs? It doesn’t matter that they’re a tier eight battleship, they shouldn’t have such technology!” cried the captain of the tier five destroyer.
“Sir, the reports are out. It isn’t a high-precision program, it’s manually aimed!”
“What? Manually?!” The captain’s voice raised an octave, cold sweat dripping down his face. “That isn’t possible. How is that possible? Thirty seconds! How can hundreds of drones be destroyed just like that? And you say it’s manual? Since when did monsters appear in the Human Federation?” roared the captain. Every drone was a weapon in its own right, with various firepower mounted including anti-missile weaponry, grenades, etc. In his estimates, he should only lose forty percent of them, at most, as they approached the tier eight battleship. But now? They hadn’t even reached the ship and the entire swarm was gone.
“Uh… Captain, that was just… one person!”
“What… WHAT?!” The captain’s face turned red with rage. One person? One person to lock on hundreds of drones?! He should have anticipated it. How could the captain of a tier eight battleship be an ordinary human? People like those were terrifying presences that could determine the fate of a battle alone.
The stories usually told of the Shura Tribe frequently losing to the primitive humans in past battles, often with little manpower on humanity’s side, too. At the time, he was even mocking his fighters at the frontlines for losing to the humans, but now he realized there were also monsters among the humans.
“Take the defensive formation, activate protective shields. Fire all of the regular cannons at will and speed up the construction of the magnetic field!”
Now that the tier six frigate had been destroyed, the captain of the tier five destroyer was the most senior in the fleet. He was the one to issue commands now.
“Sir, three hundred enemy drones incoming!”
“Stop them! Destroy them!”
“Yes, Captain!”
On the other side, in the Chaos, strings of data quickly appeared on the screen. Both Dong Qianyi and Chen Tianhua frowned.
As expected, a crew member reported, “Captain, the enemy is currently concentrating energy on building its protective shield and the magnetic field. We estimate completion within one minute and five seconds. If we want to retaliate, the only way is to break through their shields by calculating the frequency of their energy shields and matching it with our firepower! But that’ll take three minutes!”
Lu Zhenyu frowned as well. Three minutes. That was too slow. If it was him doing the calculations, they might stand a chance, but he couldn’t leave his post. If the Shura completed their magnetic field, then even the main cannon of the tier eight battleship wouldn’t be able to destroy it. Because… this was Earth, and they didn’t have any destruction-class weapons mounted.
“Let us try.” Dong Qianyi and Chen Tianhua started running calculations, their minds racing as they looked at the numbers on the screen. On the other side, Xiang Ning also silently began calculating.
The exact frequency of the construction of energy shields were theoretically simple to obtain, because you could just follow the flow of data to get to the answer. But there were simply too many numbers and too little time. Under normal circumstances, they would have relied on cannon attacks and hacking to bring down the shields, but there was simply not enough time now.
But Xiang Ning possessed the Peak Mastery Telekinesis. He wasn’t just capable of controlling many objects, his calculation speed was nothing to scoff at either.

“Master, you two take the first eight datasets, I’ll take the final six!”
Dong Qianyi and Chen Tianhua didn’t speak, which meant they silently agreed. The rest of the people panicked. Although Xiang Ning was a disciple of the two prodigies, he was still a disciple!
Xiang Ning’s fingers flew quickly across the keyboard at great speed, keying in more than two hundred numbers per second. His Telekinesis was helping him along the way.
Outside.
The combined firepower from more than ten ships was no joke. The three hundred drones under Lu Zhenyu’s control charged into the rain of attacks and many of them were hit. But it was as expected. With his Mental Power, he could barely control three hundred units, and he didn’t expect all of them to hit their targets, either. The more drones were destroyed, the more he was able to focus on manning the leftovers.
Two hundred and eighty drones, two hundred and fifty, two hundred.…
One hundred and ninety drones were destroyed in just twenty seconds. The remaining hundred and ten drones suddenly seemed to have come alive as they avoided the barrage of cannon fire even if it came from a tricky angle.
They arrived within their firing range in just fifteen seconds and the drones fired the missiles they were carrying, though some of them were intercepted. Ten seconds later, they had managed to destroy two tier four cruisers and unleashed great damage within the Shura fleet, disrupting the progress of the magnetic field construction.
On the forty-fifth second, Lu Zhenyu commanded, “Main cannon three, charge. Main cannon two, charge. Ready for a fusion blast. Fire in fifteen seconds.”
“Yes, Sir. Main cannon three, main cannon two, charging… Charging complete. Fire in ten, nine, eight, seven.…”
During the countdown, Dong Qianyi and Chen Tianhua had already uploaded the calculated figures into cannons two and three. Only Xiang Ning’s data remained.
......
“Captain, the enemy’s preparing to fire a fusion blast, and they’ve already decrypted half of our shield’s data!”
“Quick, all ships, fire at the tier eight battleship! Aim at their main cannons!”
Three seconds after the command was issued, whoosh. More than ten cannons fired at Chaos.

A vein popped on Xiang Ning’s forehead, his temples strongly pulsing as large beads of sweat sprouted from his head. In the final second before firing, he struck the Enter key on his keyboard and he heaved a sigh of relief. Many beads of sweat slid down his face and he grinned. “Thank goodness!”
“Fire!”
Main cannons two and three fired at the same time, launching a spiral-shaped fusion blast attack. It completely obliterated the cannon fire of the Shura Tribe and found its mark. The protective shield dramatically shattered within one-tenth of a second. The tier five destroyer was destroyed by the fusion blast, along with most of the remaining fleet. Only a single tier four cruiser remained!
