Xiang Ning’s sudden burst of energy alarmed the guards. He looked so young that they hadn’t expected him to be this strong! Some martial artists who lived in Kunlun City didn’t even have an aura as violent as his. Now they had practically confirmed that he was a ruthless robber.

“He’s alone, what’s to be afraid of?“

Xiang Ning frowned. He had just arrived and didn’t want to offend anyone here. There was a ripple in space and a two-meter tall black box appeared in front of him, which made him look even more intimidating.

“Dimensional ring? He has a dimensional ring!” gasped one of the guards. Everyone gazed at the ring tied around his neck with a yearning expression. That was something they couldn’t buy even if they had the money.

But from Xiang Ning’s perspective, these people were here to rob him! More than ten tier five martial artists were surrounding him. It would be very difficult for him, but not impossible.

“Activate Keen Observation.”

Keen Observation instantly locked on to all of them so Xiang Ning noticed every minute movement they made. The tier five martial artists felt chills down their spines. They hadn’t done anything, but they suddenly had the sensation that the teenager was looking through them. It was an unnerving sensation, and at tier five, they were much more sensitive than ordinary people. That was why they could feel it so clearly. Initially, they had been fearless because of their numbers, but now they started to frown.

But that wasn’t enough. What Xiang Ning wanted was to subdue them without a fight, therefore….

“Eight Gates! Gate of Pain! Open!”

With the fourth gate open, Xiang Ning’s cultivation was instantly elevated to tier six, and he didn’t suppress any of his power, either, combining his intimidating aura along with the Devourer’s. All of the fighters looked panicked. They felt like they had met a tier seven Beast King.

But Xiang Ning was afraid that that still wasn’t the effect that he wanted, so he activated Sovereign’s Throne.

Sovereign’s Throne Activated.

Boom!

Although they were underground, the martial artists felt as if they had heard a rumbling thunder, and a dizzy sensation overwhelmed them. Xiang Ning’s aura was too powerful! All of them gulped. What was going on? Who would be able to stop a god-like robber like this one? Why was he there? Why would a powerful person like him rob the shop? Unless… Was he sent to intimidate them by one of the shop’s competitors?

Their minds raced with countless speculations. However, it was clear that they didn’t want to fight him, either. So there was a stalemate.

Just as Xiang Ning was about to speak, a thick, booming voice sounded, “What the hell are you all doing?!”

The whole crowd heaved a sigh of relief. That was the voice of the shop owner, a tier seven master! It shouldn’t be a problem for him to fight the intruder.

“Mr. He, this guy wants to rob our shop.”

Xiang Ning was very confused.

The man called Mr. He’s face twitched. He coldly demanded, “And who said that?”

“I… I did, Boss.” The salesgirl, who was hiding in a corner, walked out.

Mr. He glanced at her and said, “You’re fired.”

“Huh?”

But Mr. He ignored her, turning to Xiang Ning. “I’m so sorry, kid. That must’ve been a scare.” Then he reopened all the shop’s shutters.

Xiang Ning was still indignant, but there was a tier seven master apologizing to him. There was no need to press further, and saving a Sect Master’s dignity was always a good thing.

“Boss—”

“Shut your mouth. Have you ever seen such a young teenager with a dimensional ring and a bioweapon on his back? Have you all gone dumb from your cultivation? Don’t you have any common sense? You’re all fired, you can go home!” The shop owner was furious indeed. He’d just been drinking tea with a friend when he received the notice and had thought it was some enemy or old opponent. When he checked the surveillance cameras, he was shocked to find that it was a person his old friend knew.

His old friend was the chairman of the Hunter Guild, Bo Yan.

“Sorry, kid.” Mr. He approached, regarding Xiang Ning from head to toe as if he was going to count every hair on his body. He was very curious about the kid. Must be a very special one to attract Bo Yan’s attention. He wasn’t even of age!

Xiang Ning shook his head, eyeing the Sect Master in return.

“I’m sorry for the inconvenience, are you here to buy beast cores? Choose any one you like, I’ll give you thirty percent off. Xiaoqin, show our guest around.”

“Yes, Mr. He.”

To be honest, Xiang Ning had lost all desire to buy anything after the incident, but thirty percent? That was tempting. Seeing as one beast core was worth millions, the discount was tempting. Xiang Ning looked at the hundreds of cores, letting the Devourer decide. Five seconds later, he received a response that made his face twitch.

Mr. He, who saw Xiang Ning’s reaction, thought that he was the problem and laughed before saying, “Take your time, I’ve got some matters to attend to, don’t worry about it.” Then he went downstairs.

Although Xiaoqin was smiling, she was privately afraid of Xiang Ning. She had heard everything when she was downstairs. This teenager was younger than her, but he had made more than ten tier five martial artists hesitate to attack on their own turf.

Why did Xiang Ning’s face twitch? Other than sixteen low-tiered beast cores that didn’t suit it, the Devourer wanted everything else, especially yearning for the biggest one on display. There were ninety-three left on the shelf. Xiang Ning checked his bank balance and turned to Xiaoqin. “Hi, I’d like this, this, this and this.”

“Alright, mmhmm, yes, okay, I’ll get them sorted for you.…” Xiaoqin counted them all. This patron was a rich kid indeed!

“How much?”

“Uh, your total comes to two hundred and ten million, and after the discount, it’s one hundred and forty-seven million.”

“Alright. Other than these, please pack all fifty beast cores on this side for me,” said Xiang Ning.

“Huh?”

“What? Is there a problem?” It was Xiang Ning’s form of revenge. He wasn’t just being bratty—anyone would have been sour if they had been accused of being a robber for no reason!
